Stopped in for breakfast while in town. Let's start with the bacon. My wife had the bacon. Let me tell you it was best bacon we've tased in a long time. However they are cooking it, don't ever change it! I got the country breakfast burrito. I've never had a breakfast burrito with gravy in it. It was so good and filling. I didn't eat again till dinner. Definitely recommend! The owners are a husband and wife and they were friendly and the service was excellent. The best breakfast I ever had! Service was excellent and the food was fresh and well flavored. I had the tri tip omelette and my husby had biscuits and gravy. Our grandsons had pancakes that were the airiest cakes I ever tasted...and I don't normally prefer pancakes. Lakehead has a new restaurant, located in the old Camp Shasta space. New owners serving tender, delicious smoked Tri-Tip. The hand-patted cheeseburger sits on a bun sturdy enough to hold all the delicious beef and cheesy goodness. Love avocado toast? They have it! Macaroni salad is one of my favorite side dishes. I can't recommend this place highly enough! It is newly run by a lovely couple who clearly care both about the food and customer service. We stopped in to get breakfast to go before a tour of Lake Shasta Caverns, and the counter service couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. We ordered Italian sausage breakfast burritos, which were by far the best (non-Mexican) breakfast burritos I've ever had. They are huge and satisfying - cheesy eggs, Italian sausage, home fries and sausage gravy, all rolled up in a big warm tortilla. We can't wait to try all their other breakfast and lunch items on our way north or south on I-5. It all sounded wonderful! read more

Went in for breakfast but since they serve lunch all day I had the Lake Dip with au jus and housecut fries. 10/10 AMAZING! The tri tip was to effect and very tender. Best au jus dip I have ever had! Just a hop skip and a jump off I5 in Lakehead. And if you're into fishing the trophy's are very cool to look at. Someone they know must be a good fisherman. read more
