You can see their high quality meats they display in the cold case kind of like a deli (in fact I wouldn't be surprised if this was formerly a deli). You pick chicken, beef or lamb and how you like it (shawarma / wrap, on a plate) and minutes later you are served some absolute deliciousness. If you like Mediterranean food, you will love this place. I say this as someone from SF who enjoys some of the best you can get anywhere. Anthony's gyros are well seasoned, generously portioned, with a perfectly balanced amount of sauce. The cocktail menu is one of the most creative and well crafted you will find in town, making Anthony's a perfect place for a casual dinner and drinks kind of night. While the place seems understaffed (and it could be that I've only gone at odd hours), the service is far from slow. Me and my date got our food and drinks at a comfortable pace, and overall had a wonderful time. Would highly recommend to anyone! read more

When I first met him, he flirted with me, and I politely rejected his advances. Since then, his behavior toward me has been extremely unprofessional. He has refused to serve me and, at times, even refused to serve the friends I come in with. He will roll his eyes, ignore us, and make it very obvious that he is unhappy to see us. What concerns me even more is that I have heard similar experiences from other women who say that after rejecting his advances, they were treated poorly or refused service as well. No customer should be made to feel uncomfortable or punished for simply declining someone's advances. Bartenders are in a position where professionalism and respect should be expected, regardless of whether a customer is interested in them personally. I'm sharing my experience because I believe women should be aware of this behavior and because it's disappointing to see one employee negatively affect the reputation of a bar that I otherwise enjoyed visiting.

Unfortunately, the second order was even worse. The waitress apparently spoke with the manager, who then came out to our table. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, his response came across as extremely defensive and unprofessional. He made it seem as though somehow we were responsible for the hash browns being burnt and practically inedible. I asked the waitress for the manager's name, and after some hesitation, she told me his name was Omar. And here's the part that really made us uncomfortable: after we left, another person in our party mentioned that she had seen what appeared to be a large joint in his mouth. I'm not going to claim I know exactly what she saw, but combined with everything else we experienced, it certainly didn't leave us with a good impression. Bad food happens. Mistakes happen. What matters is how you handle it. Unfortunately, Jeff's failed on both the food AND the customer service. Needless to say, none of us will be going back. 1 star from us.
