Surprised by how good the food is! Staff is friendly, quick, and the option to sit inside or outside is nice.

Decided to stop in on our way back home after it was recommended. Waitress was friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. Old bar vibe with lots of space. I get really tired when I eat carbs, so I was searching for something lighter. The menu was very small, one sided sheet of paper without many fired/heavy options. I opted for a salad and some small tacos to share. My fiancé went for the Basshole burger. Unfortunately we were not impressed by the food at all. It came out quickly, but had weird flavors and textures. I don't know if it was the seasoning on the tri-tip, but I disliked it more and more with each bite. The tacos were okay but lacked desirable flavors and textures. The burger was tasty, but the meat had a very weird, soft texture and the bun was soooo greasy. Fries were bomb and deliciously crunchy! Overall, we won't be back for the food but perhaps a beer or drink sometime as I could see it being a fun atmosphere with friends on a weekend night or happy hour. read more

The Fish was delicious an portion size was great large onion rings I like shoe string but the flavor was good my wife and I loved the fries my wife loved the burger that they're known for the basshole burger. The inn we were staying at had this place as their first recommendation.. and I'm glad we listened. We actually met the owner Scott who had stopped by and he came over, asked us where we were from.. and found out he bought the nearby resort at the direction of his wife and this place when it fell on hard times.. I'm glad he kept it open. Shay, our waitress was amazing. We were hoping to buy merch but they sell out quickly for obvious reasons. She went in the back and gave my girlfriend and I Lakehead FD t-shirts for free! As a former cop I appreciated it. As a soldier, I really appreciated the "missing soldier" table they have set, a staple for us at every military ball. The burgers are amazing.. locally sourced, the bartender/cook showed me the mushrooms he puts in the burgers. They take pride in their farm to table, locally sourced food and it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. We'll absolutely be back and we plan to stay at Tsadi Resort in the Spring read more

I had the opportunity to eat here with my boyfriend while on vacation this past week. My bf and I are huge foodies, and always down to try a new spot, and as this was our first vacation together, it was a little more special. It wasn't busy when we went in, I'm assuming because of the time frame and the day we chose, but after being served and talking to our server, who I wish got her name she was amazing, I absolutely could imagine that place being packed wall to wall! The food was fantastic, and after talking with our server, it was no brainer! My bf got the basshole burger, which even just a whiff of it and it smelled amazing. I got the chicken bacon ranch pizza, and as an avid pizza lover who's tried over 150 pizzas in her lifetime, this is easily one of the best pizzas I've had! The jalapeño ranch drizzle was the cherry on top, and now I'm going to be craving it every time I get pizza. She told us everything was made in house, from the sauces to the onion rings, and the pizza dough! She said her favorite was the fish and chips that they have on Fridays delivered fresh, and sell out of pretty fast. This little spot is a place I've already recommended to family and friends who go up into the area, and my bf and I have already decided to make a necessary stop on our now annual trip up to the area! I've stopped at Basshole twice on the way between Redding and Ashland. The food is good; the beer selection is very good. Service is friendly and fast; the music is good and not too loud. Was in a low local Airbnb and woke up starving. Needing yummy eats and cocktails and what not. So happy we landed here. Rachelle was our server, and so hospitable, kind and attentive. Our appetizers, cocktails, soda and meals were super! Their soda fountain is nice and carbonated too. Not like some bar guns that taste flat. If I ever find myself in the area again, I would go back. Stopped in for an early dinner after a day of adventuring in the Shasta Lake area. Definitely a dive bar, but in a good way. Clean and varied seating areas, from barstools, couches and tables make it a good choice for groups of all sizes. Service is friendly and helpful. Good selection of craft beers and cocktails for those that enjoy a hard drink. We ordered the Basshole Burger and Tri-tip sandwich. Both were delicious as advertised. The bourbon bacon onion jam on the Basshole is fantastic and the special fries it's served with were piping hot. The tri-tip sandwich was one of the best we had ever had, smokey, juicy and tender meat. The fact it wasn't served with a barbecue sauce speaks to how well the pit master knows how to barbecue a tri tip. No sauce needed when it's done right and this one was done right. Visited friends who lived nearby. They drove us around and this place seemed to be the only place open today, July 3rd. Very convenient for the 4 RV parks and other visitors to the lake. They even have an electric vehicle charging station, for those who need one. They have tons of parking for everyone else. It's a cozy spot. You walk right into the bar. You seat yourself. They had several high sitting tables and several regular height tables. It's a bit dark in there and can be a bit warm in certain spots. They have ceiling fans and the AC blows moreso in the back of the dining area. I saw a wood burning stove and some chairs near it. I bet that's a nice spot during the cooler months. We were greeted by our waitress who brought menus and took our drink orders. Simple menu, which is awesome, and everything sounded really good. I ended up choosing the Pork Islander and it was just as good as it sounded. The pork was soft with some crunchy parts, which you want. The salsa was refreshing and gave it a sweetness. The sauce just topped it all off. I'll have to order a side of the sauce next time to dip my tots in. It came with a bunch of yummie tater tots. And I honestly didn't realize I was missing the slaw. But it was honestly fine. There were tons of tater tots. They also had music playing. I was told that they also have live music. Worth checking out next time. read more

I like my Super Shroomy Burger because it was very tasty and had a big taste of mushrooms. I finished half of it because it was too big. I tried the fish and chips and the fish was well cooked and when I dipped it in the sauce, it tasted great! The service was very nice because when my mom asked to get a new drink because she didn't like the old one, it came very quickly. The interior of the restaurant was well decorated. Been here for 1hour and 20 mins. Haven't received our food . We are a table of 18 but we did make res. for 18 at 7pm. If you can't handle that many which we asked and was told no problem. Food is coming out one meal at a time. Res. Where made on Tuesday it is now Saturday so they knew ahead of time. And it's not busy..,it's 8;16 two of our 18 have their meal...come in at 6:50 meals coming out two at a time last meals came out at 8:43pm. Their burgers! Wow. You could strip off everything and just eat the burger and be excited. But when you add the sauce, fresh lettuce, and homemade pickled items, you get an out of this world flavor explosion. Best dang burger I've had in a very very very long time. We support our local business and have eaten here numerous times. Tonight I ordered the braut with German potatoe salad. The salad was frozen potatoes fried with bacon definitely not potato salad.
