I have seen this place quite a few times and decided to go for a date night! They weren't very busy as it was one of the rainiest days this month, so we were greeted quickly and given the option to sit at a regular table or one of the grills. We opted for a grill because I was excited to experience dinner and a show. Our drinks arrived quickly and they checked on us often throughout the meal. Another group of people showed up about 10 minutes later and sat down with us so it took a good bit for everything to get started as they had to take their orders to. We enjoyed a Spicy Tuna Roll and thought their onion soup and salad were delicious! I ordered the chicken and shrimp and my boyfriend ordered the steak and shrimp. The shrimp was delicious, but the rice, veggies, and other meats were just alright. The bill arrived and we left satisfied, but felt it was too expensive overall. Good option for special occasions, but don't think we will go often.

Fresh sushi as always! Loved our chef! It's a great place to go with friends or your s/o.

Kobe Seafood & Steakhouse is a very popular teppanyaki style restaurant in Redding. There is also a side where you can order off a menu. We elected to try the teppanyaki side where you see the teppanyaki chef masterfully chops and dices the ordered food, tossing and catching sharp knives in the air and then sets the entire grill aflame as an entertainment while propping and cooking our foods. We ordered fillet, scallops, and shrimp. We also ordered fired rice for an extra cost. You see the skilled teppanyaki chef skillfully dice all the veggies and prepare the main items ordered right in front of all at the teppanyaki table of 10. The various menu selections of foods ordered - 5/5 The veggies, fired rice, and all foods ordered were cooked to perfection. The veggies were seasoned and cooked just right. Not overcooked to mushiness or undercooked where it might be too hard. Very delicious! The fried rice was prepared on the spot with fresh ingredients with eggs, and seasoned to perfection. The fried rice is worth the up charge. The steaks were all prepared and cooked as ordered. Our filet was very tender and succulent. The shrimp and scallops were also cooked perfect;Ly. The shrimp was not tough, dry or hard, but was very tender and tasty. The scallops were also cooked just right. Very tender, and seasoned just right. Our experience at Kobe Seafood & Steakhouse was very enjoyable. The teppanyaki chefs were very skilled at entertaining the guests while preparing and cooking the ordered selected menu items. I highly recommend visiting Kobe Seafood and Steakhouse for a great meal!

We had a late lunch early dinner, at approximately 3 PM. We had been told by different people that you could sit and watch them cook your food. This did didn't happen. The grills were closed. We were seated at a little table by the window. It took a few minutes to decide what we wanted because we were both disappointed about the grill. However, I chose the shrimp tempura bento box and my husband ordered the pad Thai with shrimp. He didn't have any complaints about his food, he said it was OK. There was disappointment that there was no lime to squeeze on it. Mine on the other hand, locked flavor. The shrimp was really nice and crunchy, but it was blah! There were four different vegetables, and they were OK, needed more flavoring. There was a dipping sauce, but it was not a dipping sauce I wanted. There were a couple pieces of California roll and the Wasabi and ginger, which I always love were there. They were they were tasty. I was disappointed because I really wanted more. The service was average. No complaints with that.

We happened to sat at the table next to the window. And the lady greeted us, gave us the menu, and wiped our table. But then when I glanced at the window, it was full of noodle splashes. I understand maybe they are understaff since it's a small family business, but it did affect the whole dining experience. I had the boat noodle, broth is rich with good flavor. My husband had pho, he liked it. The lemon pepper wings were lemony, I wish it would be more peppery. I thought it would be the dry lemon pepper seasoning. The wings were fried very well, really crispy.

I saw that you can order online, so maybe that would skip the wait a little bit?

For starters we had steamed clams, calamari and meatballs. For our mains we decided on their Bistro Filet Ravioli, which has Ricotta, Romano, Parmesan, and Asiago jumbo stuffed raviolis, creamy alfredo, chili flakes, topped with their signature pan-seared bistro filet tips. It was amazing. We also had their Ribeye steak at about $53.00. I think it was a 14oz hand-cut ribeye, and it had the best butter on it. It came with mashed Yukon potatoes and marinated asparagus. We will be getting all of this again. We were staying in a hotel so took home some great pasta. The service is great. The food is amazing and the place is just so cute and ever so clean.

However, I was extremely disappointed with my entrée. I ordered the chicken Marsala and it was so bland I was actually shocked. How could nothing on the plate have any flavor? I added salt and pepper twice and that didn't even help. The vegetables had zero seasoning. The mashed potatoes had huge chunks in them and zero seasoning. The chicken and Marsala sauce, tasteless. I saw so many reviews raving about the chicken Marsala. Maybe they got a new cook because the sauce was basically just heavy cream didn't look anything like other pictures people posted. My husband got the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were very good and had lots of flavor but the marinara was also quite bland and the garlic bread was a joke. It was toasted bread with a smidge of butter, no garlic whatsoever. I will not go back for the price. Definitely not worth it. The fried artichokes and salad were good, but the entree is the most important part and they totally dropped the ball. Very disappointing.

Located in the Placer Heights Plaza, next to Starbucks. Same plaza as Holiday Market and CVS Pharmacy. We were seated immediately as they were not busy. The menu was a bit different than online. Our server came to take our order. He didn't introduce himself and seemed like he didn't want to be there. We decided on the fried green tomatoes, fried chicken sandwich and catfish po' boy. When the po' boy came out, we thought it was burnt! We didn't know the catfish will be blackened by default. We thought it will be fried since it is a po' boy. The options can be blackened or fried based on the menu online. We were not given those options by our server. They brought out the food but didnt provide utensils until minutes later. Fried green tomatoes: It was good. Fried perfectly. The dressing that was tossed with the side salad was super salty. Catfish po' boy: Fish was tender but super salty as well. Fried chicken sandwich: Pretty good sandwich. Chicken was huge. The fries was so soggy, not crispy at all. Also very greasy. We were a bit disappointed as we drove out of our way to try this place.
