We go to Donovan's Irish Pub for Irish comfort food and good drinks…read more We stopped in for a late lunch and started with the Irish egg rolls. The two diagonal cut egg rolls arrived steaming hot and were stuffed with corned beef, sauerkraut, and cheese. The thousand island sauce was the perfect compliment to the corned beef. We shared the fish and chips for our entree. The fish filets were large and perfectly fried. The steak fries were fresh and added nicely to the fish. The slaw was a bit bland and really did not add to the meal. The beer is always cold and they offer a large selection of cocktails. I tried the Irish margarita. It was the perfect balance between orange and margarita sour. Service is always friendly and efficient. This pub is relaxing and comfortable. We usually sit in the bar and this time we sat on the side near the banquet area. We noticed an actual pinball game and chose to play a few games. It added to the experience. They also have Uno, Old Maid/Go Fish, and cards for playing.

Burgers seemed to dominate the menu and we all had various burgers. They were above average. I also had the fries, which were done nicely and with some light seasoning as well. Pricing was reasonable. The full-service bar area looked like a great place to have a beverage and watch a sporting event. Service was pretty good, we were well looked after. I got the feeling Caddyshack is better for lunch than for dinner.

It doesn't try too hard--just a chill spot where you can kick back and enjoy yourself. Food was solid. I went with a burger and some wings, and both came out fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. Portions are generous, and it definitely hits that comfort food craving. Nothing overly fancy, just good, satisfying food done right. Service was friendly and easygoing. The staff checked in just enough without hovering, and everything came out in a timely manner. Overall, it's a great spot to hang out, grab a bite, and enjoy the atmosphere. Perfect if you're in St. Augustine and want something casual but still good quality. I'd definitely come back.

It is a new place as everything is in St. John's. Clean and well-lighted. My only real gripe was that I ordered a 3-egg breakfast platter and the amount of scrambled eggs was 1.5 at best. Certainly not three. I did not bring it to my server's attention. But the server should be checking this sort of thing before he leaves for the table. Pet peeve of many breakfast restaurants in N.E. Florida... why does no one butter the toast in the kitchen before serving it? Is it a law or health code thing? Do I need to ask them to butter the toast?Somebody please advise. Thanks.

The other part of the group also drank their life away, and because of this you always need to go to a diner the next day. It was a pleasant afternoon.. the birds were chirping, the sky was partly cloudy, and the wind felt cool. The group stumbled on Metro Diner which looked very appealing! We were told by a couple nice people that it was only a 15 minute wait which was perfectly fine so we went to Publix and bought a couple things. When we came back we were seated outside with a friendly waiter who got us going right away. The ogre kept saying how she wanted fried chicken and waffles, but then got nervous because it was 2000 calories.. like what? "You're on vacation just get the chicken and waffles." She was already overweight anyways so why not add more fuel to the fire. Anyways onto what we got! Me: egg scramble bowl with avocado and bacon. And oatmeal with fruit My good Buddy Bezos: burger bowl Doctor Bs wife: avocado egg sandwich thing Tragic: your classic eggs, toast, sausage, homefried The heaviest girl ever: Belgian waffle and some fruit? Okay pause.. how do you go from I WANT CHICKEN AND WAFFLES to mmm I'll have a waffle and some fruit! Okay anyways onto the reviews of the food itself! Doctor Bs wife: Really good Tragic: Mid Ogre: My eggs tasted like the were sitting out a while, the waffle wasn't hot but still good and I wish it was warmer and the butter was hard and cold My good buddy bezos: actually he was in the shower so I didn't get his review, but I know he liked it, that burger bowl actually looked good. Me: Yeah I mean I am a sucker for scrambled bowl with hollandaise sauce, I definitely have had way better, but the taste was there. I would like to add that I basically finished my entire meal before tragic or the wife got theirs. It will be shown in the photos below. I tried to be polite and wait, but after 5 minutes without their food showing up I had to eat I was starving. It's kind of crazy to me that me ogre and my good buddy bezos were first. I would think that the classic plate of tragics would be easy, as well as the sandwich because it's just the same stuff in my bowl just between bread somewhat. I enjoyed the ambiance and the feel of the place for sure. The music that was playing was also enjoyable, so initially I was at a three but because of those factors along with the fact that I did somewhat like my food more than the others (which is rare) and don't feel terrible after that's why we stand at a four. I would like to clarify every place has its own rating system. Like you cannot compare a fancy restaurant to a diner although they are still deemed a 4 on my page. Sorry anyways, the prices were also really reasonable and we had a good time. Maybe next year when we are back around here we will come back! It was good!

I love the outside seating with all the greenery and foliage. It's like you're dining in an English Garden. The appetizer was phenomenal. A Pear Ravioli, with pine nuts, ricotta, parsley and Parmesan cheese. Creamy smooth with such flavor. This could have been a meal in itself. For the main I chose the Crab Cakes with smoked pepper aioli and a fresh wilted spinach for the side. Very nice portions with lots of crab and not too much breading. Very impressive. They have a very extensive and excellent wine list. The Pinot Noir was a Freelander from California. A very delicious pour and went well with the crab cakes. Beautiful views with stunning sunsets and great service made for a delicious experience. Definitely worth putting Caps on the Water on your "have to go again list". Valet only. Not pet friendly.

My husband and I decided to 'try somewhere different' for a rare lunch date. We googled…read more'restaurants near me' and found Cafe Cairano. Thinking it was a hidden gem because we had never heard of it, we gave it a try. Sadly, it wasn't all we expected it to be. Once we found it hidden in the back of a small shopping center in World Golf Village, we went inside to an empty restaurant at what should've been a bustling lunchtime crowd. The restaurant had all of two employees working. The cashier/waitress asked us to seat ourselves and she brought us the menus. 5, yes FIVE, different things that we attempted to order were out of stock! How do you run a restaurant when 5 staple items are out of stock.... Hamburger patties, bacon, onion rings, and all fountain drinks including coke & dr. Pepper???? It quickly became obvious why the entire restaurant was empty! After we made alternative choices from the menu and received our meals, the waitress spent the entire time we were in her presence talking in the phone and to someone who seemed to be a regular patron that had come in after us to pick up a to-go order. I heard her say that 'today is my last day because I'm moving.' After hearing that, it made sense as to why she never came back to our table to see if we needed anything. We even had to request she bring our check so that we could pay the bill and leave. She was 'too busy' to notice we were finished & waiting.... The food that we got wasn't horrible.... Too bad the service wasn't that great. We most certainly did NOT receive a good first impression and likely won't give it a second try!

With open lines of communication, they were communicative, ensuring that our needs were met. I was very impressed with how they ensure customer satisfaction. This was my first time here, but I came with friends who had been here several times. The chicken wrap smelled outstanding and looked great. Very robust with chicken! The meatloaf my friend said was phenomenal and interestingly enough they do make it with milk. The Philly cheesesteak looked really great. The chicken pot pie however I will say was definitely not a fan favorite here. I had a different vision of pot pie, which this was not it rather it was the fact on the salty side from me. Not sure what the base was but flavor wise it definitely was not for me. But on a positive note, it was made with white meat chicken. The biscuit on top not a fan favored either. Overall, the five stars goes to the outstanding service we received and the reviews of my friends and their meal. They were very gracious here at the restaurant with taking care of the pot pie since it was not eaten. When I return (and it's a customer service that is bringing me back) I'm gonna try the chicken wrap because it smelled fantastic and looked great

I've included a screenshot from Google Maps to help out with finding them. I went with the Crab Quiche, which was decent. It comes with a side of hash browns which were fantastic. I normally wouldn't go on about hash browns but these were REALLY good! The thing that held the quiche back from being great was that there wasn't a whole lot of crab meat. Lauren had the Breakfast Burrito, added sausage to it and asked for a side of Pico which is something she learned from a previous visit. She's had this burrito before and loves it. She was going on and on about how much she loves it today as well. She actually said "I wish this place was closer to our house because we'd be here way more often" to which I replied "yeah but we have University Diner right by our house, so we're not hurting". Which leads me to a very funny situation: A gentleman showed up at our table like 30 seconds later and said "Hi, I hear you guys go to University Diner? Do you know Andrew? He's my son". We were like "YES! We know Andy!" but the funnier thing was like Lauren had a revelation and said "OH! THAT'S why I love this breakfast burrito so much!"
