    Asian wrap and fries.
    Darryl A.

As a fan of The Loop's locations in Jacksonville and Nocatee, I was excited to try out the new spot in World Golf Village. Unfortunately, this experience fell short of expectations. Upon entering, I immediately noticed how small the dining area is, with only about ten groupings of tables. Many tables hadn't been cleared from previous patrons, so we chose a table near the door--big mistake. Every time the door opened, a cold gust of air rushed in, and when it closed, the door slammed loudly. Not exactly a welcoming atmosphere. For our meal, my husband ordered his usual Loop Burger and fries, my son had a small pizza, and I went with the Asian Wrap and fries. The food, sadly, did not live up to The Loop's usual standard: The burger was undercooked, falling apart, and messy to eat. The fries were cold--both mine and my husband's. The pizza was very bready, causing the toppings to pool awkwardly in the middle. The Asian Wrap, thankfully, was a bright spot--tasty and nicely presented. While I typically enjoy The Loop, this location left much to be desired. The atmosphere, service, and food quality just didn't measure up to what I've come to expect. I'll be sticking to the other locations, even if it means traveling a bit further for a better experience.

I was bummed with the drink selection the fountain machine was broken (not a problem for me because I don't drink soda) , but the fridge only had canned sodas, a loaded sugary sparkling soda with aspartane, and an artificially flavored tea. I can't remember seeing water. Staff were nice, inside was clean.

My husband ordered some meat slices as well. When he arrived around 12:15 pm on a Thursday to make the order, the lady at the register stated they are out of garlic knots for the day and that they have to make grandma's pizza as there were no slices available for purchase. This was disappointing as we wanted something where we didn't have to wait for long. The wait time was about 20 minutes. My husband noticed couple of customers who entered the restaurant but then abruptly leave since they didn't want to wait for the pizza to be made. Now onto the pizza, overall I enjoyed the grandma's pizza. I thought it was flavorful and the tomato sauce on it was delicious. The cheese pizza was pretty good too. The slices are big and filling. Overall, if you happen to be in the Flagler college area, give this place a try.

We enjoyed the House Salad, Fried Ravioli, Chicken Piccata, and Limoncello Cake. Service was slow, but it was Christmas evening, which is understandable. We appreciate the staff for working on the holiday. Note that a 20% service charge is automatically added (even for small parties), so we did not leave an additional tip. Other than that, no negative

If you love great Italian food, do yourself a favor and keep driving -- preferably fast…read more Nonna's appears to specialize in "Italian-inspired disappointment." The cooked penne was sitting on the counter uncovered, just vibing at room temperature like it had officially given up. The sauce? Scooped from a container and reheated with all the passion of a microwave at 2 a.m. The complimentary bread arrived looking hopeful... until we realized it was a square dinner roll slathered in what tasted like imitation garlic and oil -- less Italian trattoria and more middle school cafeteria meets olive oil cosplay. The Chicken Marsala arrived undefeated in battle against any form of tenderizing. This chicken was not pounded thin -- it clearly lifts weights. I needed a steak knife, determination, and possibly a waiver to cut through it. We shared one entrée and a bottle of wine that tasted like grapes filed a formal complaint, and somehow the bill still hit $65. I checked twice to make sure we hadn't accidentally invested in the business. And just when you think the experience is complete, surprise! There's a debit card fee. Don't worry though -- the owner's son (also waiter, host, busboy, and possibly assistant regional manager) will loudly explain it from across the restaurant so the entire dining room can stay informed.
