I was excited to try this place after seeing the huge sign claiming it has the "2nd Best Pizza in…read morethe USA." Unfortunately, the experience didn't come close to living up to the hype. The pizza itself was extremely disappointing. The crust was bland, the sauce lacked flavor, and the overall taste was nowhere near what I would expect from a restaurant making such a bold claim. I've had far better pizza from small local shops with no awards hanging on the wall. To make matters worse, the staff was rude and unwelcoming. Customer service seemed to be an afterthought, and interactions felt more like an inconvenience to them than an opportunity to serve paying customers. A great pizza place can sometimes survive mediocre service, and great service can sometimes make up for average food. Unfortunately, this place had neither. The "2nd Best Pizza in the USA" sign may get people through the door, but the food and attitude will make sure they don't come back. I definitely won't be returning.

The food was delicious, we ordered a large supreme pizza, order of wings, meatballs, and 2 deserts to take out for hotel. Overall, I had a great experience with my family and this restaurant looks to be a family owned business and I will recommend them and will come again. Prices have gone up but still affordable compared to other pizza joints and at Carmelo's the quality is obvious.
