The chocolate madeleine paired perfectly with the drink and was soft, buttery, and lightly sweet. The staff was also friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even more pleasant. Overall, a really cute café with good drinks, tasty pastries, and a relaxing ambiance. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when I'm in the area.

It is indeed a small spot, so if you're looking for a quiet spot to work, this might not be it. The interior decor, though, is quite clean aesthetically and is relaxing to work in. I paused, glanced at the empty café behind me, and replied, "There are plenty available--surely I can use one." He continued, in a dismissive tone, speaking to me in a way that felt unnecessarily disrespectful. I chose to walk away and still enjoy my pour-over. But it's not just about serving good coffee. As Maya Angelou reminds us, people will always remember how you made them feel. And in this space, I felt unwelcome. If you're a slow drinker like myself, this drink thickens as it sits. In the beginning it was great but personally the thick roasted soybean powder was too much texture.
