I came here to meet my friends on a random weekday night and it was actually way more packed than I expected! It was such a cute shop inside and made me feel like a kid again. They even sold candy which I kept staring at while I waited in line. Also it is cash only so definitely keep that in mind if you're like me and never carry cash on hand. There were so many flavors to choose from and we were able to sample a few. The lady helping us was really nice and was able to recommend some fan favorites and limited seasonal flavors! I ended up going with one of the fan favorites, which was the cookie monster. I just love cookies and cream in general so this was a safe option for me. I loved the different cookie bits that they had in there! It was also really fun because of how blue it was and stained my entire mouth. I know I had stopped by once before while in the area, but this was the first time I intentionally came to see what all the hype was about. We saw Fosselman's on Instagram and stopped by to try the ice cream. There was a line but it moved fast with the workers doing a good job in filling the orders. They do sale candy too, so you have things to check out while you're waiting. I ordered the rocky road ice cream in a cup. They use more butter cream in their ice cream, I didn't like the texture of the ice cream. It was different then the ice cream that I normally eat. Dropped by today to have Fosselman's after having dinner around the area. Ice cream didn't hit as a dessert for myself nor anyone in my party of 4. I tried the toasted almond, red velvet and mocha almond fudge flavors; all were not as sweet or creamy as Id prefer for my ice cream. There were some inconveniences as well. Parking can be tough because they have a small lot. They have a container and cars were illegally parked in the lot which made getting in and out tricky. I feel like I accomplished a huge goal of mine today by finally finding where my favorite cappuccino ice cream (of 20+ years) is from! Long story short, one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the SFV offered ice cream with their entrees, and one of the flavors they had was this very dark cappuccino ice cream with candy coffee crunchies in it. I've been on the hunt to find it all this time. Fast forward to this past June, I visited an ice cream shop at the Santa Monica who "proudly serves Fosselman's". I hadn't heard of Fosselman's before, but the flavors sounded amazing. They were out of the cappuccino, and for whatever reason, I asked the guy scooping if the cappuccino was super dark with crunchies and he said yes! I can now confirm, THIS is the cappuccino ice cream I've been longing for and hoping to find! Now for my review: We decided to stop here on our way home from DTLA. It's so cute from the outside; you can't miss it! As soon as we walked in, it felt like a magical sweetness wonderland! There were so many candies all around, bulk & pre-bagged. The place was packed, so I had a hard time taking photos. Once we got to the front, we were excited to try some of the other flavors! The watermelon sorbet was a huge hit with my kids. Because the clown cones are premade they are in the fridge and the cones become soggy and kind of inedible because it starts to taste like the fridge. The sundae was good.
