I've been coming here since I was a kid! My husband knows how much I love Fosselman's ice cream. So for my Mother's Day present, he took me to all my favorite places. Fosselman's was on my list! I got my favorite banana split and my daughter got the brownie sundae. They were so good! I can't wait to come back.

This is our all-time favorite ice cream shop! My kids love it, cash only. Try their delicious and reasonable ice cream cake. We are a lactose family and for some reason this spot never gives us an upset stomach. There are ice cream creams are made with really good dairy. Check out the ice cream cake ordered for my son's 13th birthday. Strawberry chocolate chip

Got baited into eating one of these last night and wow they were so good. The pistachio ice cream is incredible, honestly can't believe I am only now trying this place.

Highly recommend to try this ice cream store in Alhambra, since 1919. So many favors, you can try it. The staffs are so nice. They have many kind of sweet things, from candy to cake and ice cream, you name it Ah, they have the fountain water but no cup, it is a bit hard if you need the water after sweet ice cream.

This is local favorite ice cream shop! However, this ice cream shop is CASH ONLY!! The service is good and nice! They provide 2 free samples for you to try and the ambiance is average. The store is a bit small and has benches outside if you don't like to eat inside. I got the Red Velvet and Horchata! Both was yummy and provided a strong flavor from each scoop! In addition, I liked both of the flavors together. Luckily, I got two waffle cones! TIP: There's no restroom in this ice cream shop. There's limited parking in the parking lot. However, you can also park on the street.

I know I had stopped by once before while in the area, but this was the first time I intentionally came to see what all the hype was about. From the moment we walked in until we left, it was nothing but good vibes. There was a steady flow of customers coming in and out, which always says a lot. We got lucky with parking because the lot on the side is very limited. The staff was extremely friendly, everyone was enthusiastic, happy, and helpful, which made the experience even better. The girl that was taking care of us was awesome The ice cream was delicious, with so many flavors to choose from, and the portions were very generous. The banana split was so good and came with three flavors: cookies and cream, espresso, and pistachio, topped with whipped cream and nuts. Their shakes taste authentic and old-school, which fits the vibe of the place perfectly. This place keeps it classic with a cash-only policy, no cards accepted. It really adds to the old-school charm. I will definitely be back, not just for the desserts but for the whole experience. Such a great dessert spot.

Sampled a couple of flavors: lychee, mango and pistachio nut. Lychee and mango tasted a bit off so I went with pistachio nut. The pistachio nut was decent. It had a good amount of pistachios in there and was pretty creamy. They gave me a pretty huge single scoop and it was $4.50 cash only. Hot take but I think the ice cream here is overhyped. There are much better chains like salt & straw, mcconnell's or thrifty's. Honestly think thrifty's tastes much better than fosselman's. Giving it a 4 because service was excellent. The shop has a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. They also sell candy bags for $2 each. Parking is a mission. The lot is tiny and you'd be lucky if you found a spot in their parking lot. You'll most likely need to look for street parking. It's on a busy street too.

Private Parking lot next to store. It gets busy during hot days in LA / Alhambra. They are the best Ice cream east of DTLA! I love its history in San Gabriel Valley. Such variety of Ice Cream! Try it out!

Exactly as a remember as a child! Wonderful staff, and service fun atmosphere: tables, indoor & outdoor. They have plenty of street parking & their own lot. CA$H ONLY

Went last Saturday night and it was packed! I'm amazed they're open till 10pm. Staff were nice and we tried several samples before getting our favorites. Love the nostalgic atmosphere. Really liked the maple walnut and lychee flavors. Delicious. Tried the matcha but was disappointed, it tasted soapy! Very crispy waffle cone. Congrats to them for being around for over 100 years! Well deserved.

located on main street with a small parking lot to the right of the store, this family style handmade ice cream shop is a testament to the old school ice cream parlor that we see so little of today. A great spot for family and dates, the workers are quick and helpful with wonderful flavors to choose from. order: strawberry ice cream in a cup and a chocolate chip on a sugar cone cons: small parking lot so can get packed and cash only

I feel like I accomplished a huge goal of mine today by finally finding where my favorite cappuccino ice cream (of 20+ years) is from! Long story short, one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the SFV offered ice cream with their entrees, and one of the flavors they had was this very dark cappuccino ice cream with candy coffee crunchies in it. I've been on the hunt to find it all this time. Fast forward to this past June, I visited an ice cream shop at the Santa Monica who "proudly serves Fosselman's". I hadn't heard of Fosselman's before, but the flavors sounded amazing. They were out of the cappuccino, and for whatever reason, I asked the guy scooping if the cappuccino was super dark with crunchies and he said yes! I can now confirm, THIS is the cappuccino ice cream I've been longing for and hoping to find! Now for my review: We decided to stop here on our way home from DTLA. It's so cute from the outside; you can't miss it! As soon as we walked in, it felt like a magical sweetness wonderland! There were so many candies all around, bulk & pre-bagged. The place was packed, so I had a hard time taking photos. Once we got to the front, we were excited to try some of the other flavors! The watermelon sorbet was a huge hit with my kids. I loved the chocolate dipped strawberry and peppermint flavors. We enjoyed our ice creams outside at the cute little tables they have; the plentiful seating they have inside was all spoken for. We also made sure to purchase some of the pre packed quarts of cappuccino ice cream! There is a small parking lot next to Fosselman's. Please also note that this is CASH ONLY.

Do you accept credit cards/Apple Pay?

They accept these two payments cash bills and coins only.

Do you a stamp card for frequent buyers? Asking for a friend.

When I went, the transaction was straight forward...they didn't ask for or offer the option to stamp a card. If they did,I would've totally did it because that place is awesome!

Are they still cash only (may2022)?

Yes they only accept cash $. Don't forget the cereal milk flavor. So good!

Do you have bubble gum ice cream?

No we haven’t made it for many years

Do they still have black sesame as a flavor and can it be purchased as a half gallon?

    Yes it can - enjoy

I doubt it, they sell out of special flavors quickly. If they had any left it was gone by November.

Trying to limit my contact with people I have stopped using cash. Have you updated your credit card policy? Do you now accept credit card or Apple Pay?

As of 5/21 they are still cash only. I went in the other day and it was cash only.

Do they sell pints or gallons there or is that only in the supermarkets? Thought I've seen their brand in markets before.

Yes they do. They have 3Gal and 1.5 Gal tub.

Will y'all be bringing back the Guinness flavored ice cream?? I haven't had it for years and have been waiting for this flavor!

They have it every year during St Patricks month

This is in the same tiny plaza as Golden Deli and Bopomofo, so parking can be tough at peak dinner time. The good: the taiyaki texture was nice and crunchy. The ice cream was smooth and not icy. The price is good for amount you get. The bad: the store was extremely cramped and hot. It's a very tiny shop so easily felt packed inside. I was annoyed when they called my order but I was struggling to get through the shop to get my order. By that time the employee had walked away. I was annoyed because when she came back she completely ignored me and handed someone else their order and walked away. I don't understand why they keep the completed orders way behind the counter if they don't even verify the correct person is picking up... after being skipped over twice I finally cut in and interrupted the other employee for my order and she was like oh... sorry it's melted. Like yeah it's been sitting there and I didn't want to go into the employee area to get it! That was really irritating. The ube flavor was bland. It tasted like milk, I did not get any ube flavor. The custard in the taiyaki was just okay. The worst part was that the taiyaki had a really off putting taste on the outside... almost like the aftertaste of margarine or something, it bothered me. Overall the flavor and service was lacking and the experience inside was not good. I was not impressed by any aspect and would not recommend this place unless you were already dining in this plaza and wanted to just walk over.
