    Old fashioned milk bottles!
    Jenny C.

Fosselman's Ice Cream is one of the few remaining old-fashioned ice cream parlors that still captures a true sense of nostalgia. The parking is limited so park ion the street and you'll see lines outside. Walking inside feels like stepping back in time, with classic décor evokes the charm of a 1970s ice cream shop. There are limited seatings. Whether you're stopping in for a scoop, a sundae, or a milkshake, the experience feels delightfully and reminds you of a simpler era when neighborhood ice cream parlors were the place to gather and enjoy a sweet treat. This pace also sells candy by the pound, as well. There are a dozen plus flavors -- classic, upcoming like Ube mango or celebratory like one dedicated to the Dodgers! Just like old times, you order and pay through one person. You do get a couple samples if you choose.

Two scoop cone: Coffee & Cookies and Matcha Strawberry

We love a good ice cream spot and Fosselman's Ice Cream is definitely one of them. My family and I stopped by while in the area after a recommendation and they did not disappoint. We came in on a weekday after dinner time and the shop was busy with customers from the second we came in to the moment we stepped outside. Service was efficient and friendly. The staff definitely does a good job of moving the line through quickly. I couldn't decide which flavors to try, so I went with a two scoop cone of Coffee & Cookies (coffee ice cream with Oreos) and Matcha Strawberry. Both were delicious and the portions for each scoop were generous. I couldn't even finish my cone. Pricing was fair and justified the product. Thrilled to have visited Fosselman's Ice Cream and it will definitely be a must stop spot the next time we're in the area! Please be aware, before your visit, they are a cash-only establishment.

Love this place!! They have the best ice cream and always have wonderful service. I came by last Saturday for the Fourth of July. I arrived at opening and the lady working was extremely helpful and friendly. She made sure I got everything I needed for my celebration and made ordering very easy.

yummy yummy ice cream with a homey feel! they have plenty of flavors to choose from and let you taste test as well. staff here are nice but it does get a little bit busy!! their ice cream is thick and creamy and definitely hits on flavor! this place only accepts cash! :)

YUMMMMMYYYY. FYI.. THEY ONLY TAKE CASH !Every year for my birthday I get a rocky road ice cream cake and it never disappoints. I would go more bUT they are not down the street. The place is small UT they have a nice variety of ice cream. If you want a cake you have to order it a day in advance.the prices are average but the quality is there.my only complaint is that they only take cash.. NO ONE CARRIES CASH ANYMORE, well atleast I don't. I hate going to the bank.. well the staff is friendly and I enjoy my visitS

I've been coming here since I was a kid! My husband knows how much I love Fosselman's ice cream. So for my Mother's Day present, he took me to all my favorite places. Fosselman's was on my list! I got my favorite banana split and my daughter got the brownie sundae. They were so good! I can't wait to come back.

This is our all-time favorite ice cream shop! My kids love it, cash only. Try their delicious and reasonable ice cream cake. We are a lactose family and for some reason this spot never gives us an upset stomach. There are ice cream creams are made with really good dairy. Check out the ice cream cake ordered for my son's 13th birthday. Strawberry chocolate chip

I came here to meet my friends on a random weekday night and it was actually way more packed than I expected! It was such a cute shop inside and made me feel like a kid again. They even sold candy which I kept staring at while I waited in line. Also it is cash only so definitely keep that in mind if you're like me and never carry cash on hand. There were so many flavors to choose from and we were able to sample a few. The lady helping us was really nice and was able to recommend some fan favorites and limited seasonal flavors! I ended up going with one of the fan favorites, which was the cookie monster. I just love cookies and cream in general so this was a safe option for me. I loved the different cookie bits that they had in there! It was also really fun because of how blue it was and stained my entire mouth. Luckily I had nowhere important to be after so maybe keep that in mind as well... Overall a great experience and I get why people waited in line for it!

TLDR: It's the best ice cream for the price that they're charging. It's cash only, but that's a small hurdle to get over for what you get. Thoughts: Ice cream for me has always been about balance. How sweet is it? How hard is it to eat? How close is the quality of the product the first time you eat it, and when you finish? Most importantly, how much is it? Given those factors, I think Fosselman's nails every single category. I've been buying my ice cream here for the better part of 3 years, and I can say that the ice cream is never too sweet, the last scoop is just as good as the first, you can keep it in the freezer for months on end without ruining the texture, and it's $10.50 for a half gallon. What's not to like? Favorite Flavors: Cookies and Cream, Dutch Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, Chocolate Chip, Ube, Macapuno Service: It's always service with a smile. Ambiance: Classic ice cream parlor. Seats 20 ish, and lines to pile up on certain time blocks. It's still worth the wait. Parking is sometimes a challenge, though.

Highly recommend to try this ice cream store in Alhambra, since 1919. So many favors, you can try it. The staffs are so nice. They have many kind of sweet things, from candy to cake and ice cream, you name it Ah, they have the fountain water but no cup, it is a bit hard if you need the water after sweet ice cream.

This is local favorite ice cream shop! However, this ice cream shop is CASH ONLY!! The service is good and nice! They provide 2 free samples for you to try and the ambiance is average. The store is a bit small and has benches outside if you don't like to eat inside. I got the Red Velvet and Horchata! Both was yummy and provided a strong flavor from each scoop! In addition, I liked both of the flavors together. Luckily, I got two waffle cones! TIP: There's no restroom in this ice cream shop. There's limited parking in the parking lot. However, you can also park on the street.

Got baited into eating one of these last night and wow they were so good. The pistachio ice cream is incredible, honestly can't believe I am only now trying this place.

    Pistachio Nut ice cream cone
    Tiffany H.

Sampled a couple of flavors: lychee, mango and pistachio nut. Lychee and mango tasted a bit off so I went with pistachio nut. The pistachio nut was decent. It had a good amount of pistachios in there and was pretty creamy. They gave me a pretty huge single scoop and it was $4.50 cash only. Hot take but I think the ice cream here is overhyped. There are much better chains like salt & straw, mcconnell's or thrifty's. Honestly think thrifty's tastes much better than fosselman's. Giving it a 4 because service was excellent. The shop has a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. They also sell candy bags for $2 each. Parking is a mission. The lot is tiny and you'd be lucky if you found a spot in their parking lot. You'll most likely need to look for street parking. It's on a busy street too.

Ask the Community - Fosselman's Ice Cream

Do you accept credit cards/Apple Pay?

They accept these two payments cash bills and coins only.

Do you a stamp card for frequent buyers? Asking for a friend.

When I went, the transaction was straight forward...they didn't ask for or offer the option to stamp a card. If they did,I would've totally did it because that place is awesome!

Are they still cash only (may2022)?

Yes they only accept cash $. Don't forget the cereal milk flavor. So good!

Do you have bubble gum ice cream?

No we haven’t made it for many years

Do they still have black sesame as a flavor and can it be purchased as a half gallon?

    Yes it can - enjoy

I saw you make Anaíse / black licorice ice cream in Oct. was wondering if you have any in your freezer?

I doubt it, they sell out of special flavors quickly. If they had any left it was gone by November.

Hadn't been in years, but went today. Aaahhhh memories fulfilled but is it new owners? Didn't see any of the guys (owners) from before.

Hi Rene, Thanks for stopping by, much appreciated! We are still family owned & operated since 1919. I’ve run the business with my brother Chris for the last 32 years. We hope…

I try to order an ice cream cake online, but they don't have any description about the size. Does anyone know the size?

The ice cream cake must be ordered by phone and sizes are posted on their website: http://www.fosselmans.com/menu.html#tab5…

Trying to limit my contact with people I have stopped using cash. Have you updated your credit card policy? Do you now accept credit card or Apple Pay?

As of 5/21 they are still cash only. I went in the other day and it was cash only.

Do they sell pints or gallons there or is that only in the supermarkets? Thought I've seen their brand in markets before.

Yes they do. They have 3Gal and 1.5 Gal tub.

Will y'all be bringing back the Guinness flavored ice cream?? I haven't had it for years and have been waiting for this flavor!

They have it every year during St Patricks month

What happened to chocolate raspberry mousse ice cream?

Flavors are usually rotated in and out, especially if it's seasonal.

The girl working the counter was a young girl just getting by her summer day job. She was nice but timid. It was our first time there and a little more energy on her end could've been better. Ordered the ube swirl, pineapple dole whip, mung bean taiyaki, and a custard one togo. The taiyaki that goes onto the ice cream is a lot bigger than one we ordered to go. I thought it would be as big, but when I got it, it was so much smaller and flat. Also, the taiyaki that goes on top of the ice cream was old. It had been sitting there for a while or was made earlier as it was hard and difficult to bite. The red bean inside I also assumed was a paste like how they make the Japanese version, however there were whole pieces in there. It was okay, but I thought they'd be like paste. Overall, the only thing that was good was the ube swirl and the pineapple dole whip. It was also extremely warm in the shop, like no AC in the triple digits summer heat. Had to eat it elsewhere. I most likely won't be back.

While the shop is pretty small, it's more ideal for a grab and go type of shop rather than a hangout spot. Although they do have some small tables and bench seating. Free street parking + parking lot in the back, underground parking as well along with free Wi-Fi in the shop. Staff here is pretty mixed. While they're friendly, they seem a bit slow at times. They can take up to 10-15 minutes per order even if there's not much customers, not sure what the exact process is but sometimes they're fast but sometimes slow, could be just a off chance experience. Most pictures you see from Tea Brick are their amazing and unique bottle designs, which you can pay a tad bit extra to get the bottle with your drink rather than the standard cups. I'd say it's pretty worth it considering it's not too much of a expensive and it's definitely worth the social media posts. It's very cute and they have plenty of designs from time to time. As a dog owner, I love their designs. They can be reusable in a sense even though there's a hole for your straw that you can't seal yourself. As for the drinks, they're not the best but not the worse either. They can be refreshing at times especially on a warmer day. This in itself was a nice mix of matcha, Sakura or Japanese cherry blossoms, and Hokkaido milk. All of the flavors were mild and not too sweet. I think my favorite was the Japanese Neapolitan.
