I feel like in all the locations I've gone to they all seem "dirty" floors have trash, and are dirty, windows full of dirty towel marks and hand prints . Drink dispensers need a good washing. I've visited one in Idaho, Utah and several in California all with the same feel. I think they need to get a testing from in n out S I e yet to experience one with low supply stock and being dirty. I do like there portion sizes for the price and the selections. At this particular location I have only had a great experience with the employees. There's a gentleman on Fridays that runs the cash register whom is very kind! I'm bummed they took away the vinaigrette dressing. That was the reason I enjoy the salad so much. The new replacement isn't doin it. Also at this location - it is one of the top that needs a really good sanitizing & cleaning like BAD! trash are always over flowing floors are always dirty and the drink dispenser has forced me to bring my own beverage. We had just ordered a tortilla soup for delivery since we were sick at home. The soup was cold, which can be a little understandable. I'm really disappointed with my experience tonight. We went around 8:00, so I understand it's toward the end of the day, but there still needs to be some pride in the workstation. It looked messy and unclean, which immediately set a bad impression. When we walked up to order, there were about five employees there, yet we stood waiting for nearly 10 minutes before anyone helped us. That shouldn't happen. The food was also disappointing. It felt like we were given leftover meat, and once again, all the ingredients were piled right in the middle instead of being spread out. I ordered nachos, and all the meat, beans, and rice were dumped in the center, leaving the outer chips completely plain. Unfortunately, this wasn't a good experience. Parking was easy. Place is large with plenty of seating. This is my 2nd time here. The prices are ridiculous. I do appreciate that you can pick and choose what you want. It is just like Chipotle and just like them you need to speak up and ask. I got a chicken bowl. I felt that it wasn't full enough. I had to ask the guy to add more things in there. The cilantro rice was OK but some of the rice was hard. My teen was hungry after eating here. This was a disappointing 2nd trip. Service was good though. 19 years ago I went to Carl's Jr. for lunch and got chicken strips that came out RAW. Eating lunch a few minutes ago at cafe Rio was the worst lunch experience I've had since that fateful day in 2006. Then came the payment debacle: I had cash, but unless I had exact change (down to the penny), I could pay with cash since I didn't have exact change I was forced to use a card. I have gone 19 times, all different days of the week, different times, during dinner hours, when it's busy, when it's not, even an hour after they have opened... and every single time I have gone, NO STEAK. I just left now without any food AGAIN because quite literally this is the 19th time I've gone and still no steak. If steak is in that high demand, you should order enough to meet demand, and if supply chain is the issue, then make costumers aware that it is off the menu, but it's not and I know that's not the case, because when I just went right now, they explained to me they have, they just haven't made it. Really? On a Saturday evening at 5:30pm? Wow just wow. The whole place was dirty. The trays they served our food on were dirty, as were the tables. The restroom is always disgusting but this time was worse than ever. There was literal dirt on the toilet and stuff on the floors and walls of the stalls. Oh and NO soap or paper towels. The food prep area was noticeably not clean as well. I guess my review is more about the food itself - the location is great and nothing the staff did ruined my experience. The food gets the job done, but it's nothing to write home about. Wow this place is filthy. Their kitchen is a mess grills kept unclean with grease everywhere. The employees didn't even bother to clean the grill just threw tortillas on top of the filth. We only order takeout and the salad is the way to go. You basically get a salad and a burrito in one. You gotta get their cilantro lime dressing too. So good! My wife used the rest room with our two girls tonight and it looked like the women's room hadn't been cleaned in weeks. There was feces splattered against the stall wall. It was disgusting. If I could do a lower review I would. This place is horribly disgusting. Their salad bar is all combined and mixed with one another. They have the sloppiest workers out of any restaurant I've ever been to. They sit there and watch your food get cold while sitting on their phones behind the counter. I have never had a good experience and would recommend you save yourself the time and money. The food is always sub par and not worth the money. A health inspection was performed by the city the next day and they must have cleaned up real quick thanks to my Yelp post and complaint filed with Cafe Rio's district office. According to the report, the only found one violation, and the manager straight up lied and said he was not aware the restroom was in poor condition. Well Cafe Rio, your manager lies but pictures don't! Look at all the complaints on here regarding the cleanliness or lack of, plus the vast list of complaints filed through the health department. Who are you going to believe, your customers or your lying manager? I would suggest you look into hiring new management or this place will run into the ground. read more

We ordered the coconut shrimp taco plate, a grilled steak bowl, and Nino quesadilla with a blueberry mint limeade. The coconut shrimp came with a chunky mango/ chili sauce. It was sweet with a taste of peppers without heat. I didn't mind the sauce but the chunks were a little strange. The tortillas used to taste homemade but now have a dry floury taste.
