Food: just order the shredded beef Tacos and horchata. Tacos Dorado good flavor a little small nice amount of lettuce. Horchata was good and cold Service: was good they were polite Ambiance: place a little run down and it was really hot inside only fans no air conditioning We will comeback to try other food as they look delicious

Chilaquiles verde I asked for no sour cream and cheese but was on it. I tried removing cream but still has dairy

I would've loved to have loved this place, but I specifically asked for no cheese or sour cream since I'm dairy intolerant, but there's cheese all over the beans and potatoes and the tortilla chips and there was a huge glob of sour cream, not shown in the picture, they see some of the sour cream. I tried to remove it, but then I see all the cheese everywhere. Really disappointing. The flavor profile is really good, but I can't really eat what I just got because of all the dairy

So my husband was in the hospital this last week... and we wanted some hot food... so I tried going to the restaurant off of California but it said they were closed, so I call the number and it said they were serving food out of this location, so I placed an order for pickup and had my dad pick it up and drop it off at the hospital. We got two breakfast burritos and pozole. The burritos were decent... but I have had better honestly and bigger. But the pozole however was actually really good. The price was a bit more expensive for what it was but the pozole made up for it I guess. But all that was $50 with tip... but anyways... it was a sad situation why we went... but I would try again on a better occasion... I obviously can't comment on the ambiance since I wasn't there.

Been going to this place for years. Never disappointed. Food is great. Salsa is great. Owner is great. Perfect service. Don't sleep on this spot!

Idk why they're stingy with the meat

I ordered 14 Tacos but I got enough meat for maybe 11 tacos. Not impressed. As a mom and pop you gotta make sure this is not happening

The lengua burrito was good with green sauce and the wet asada burrito was good as well. The service was nice but I do feel sad that my drink wasn't in the bag when I left and forgot to check. I wish there was more attention to the assurance of the order since it wasn't busy when I was there but I digress. The food was good and the interior is very stylish.

What a great moms and pops mexican food restaurant. Full menu and great tasting! Homestyle and just authentic! Service was outstanding and will definitely go back again when in the area. Try Taco Tuesday. Prices are well worth the quality and quantity of food. Got nice and full even though I wanted more (really because it tasted so delicious!)

Off the menu : Customized Breakfast taco

While waiting for my car to be serviced , I stopped at Huicho's . I wasn't too hungry so a breakfast platter or breakfast burrito would be too much food for me. I asked if they made breakfast tacos because I didn't see it on the menu . She told me she could make me breakfast tacos . She offered suggestions for the breakfast tacos and I was able to tell her what I wanted. She gave me a choice of flour or corn tortillas; I chose flour this time . And if I wanted them with ranchero sauce , I chose a salsa verde .The breakfast tacos were great! I love how courteous, friendly and accommodating they are! They need to add breakfast tacos to their menu !

Our waitress has on break, but this was communicated well and rhe other staff stepped in until she returned. We got a mix of drinks and food and loved every sip and bite. I will say the serving sizes are not what I'm used to for a Mexican restaurant but not tiny, around 2 to 3 tacos per plate. I got the birra tacos and I do wish they would have had a side but it wasn't a huge issue. Now the music for the elephant in the room. It was very loud in the small space. I would say club level, which is a lot for a dining experience. It didn't take away too much, just made talking hard. Another summer specific thing to point out, it is not the standard California A/c situation. We were in not way dying of heat, but it was warm. The day's temperature was around 102° so that of course was taken into account. If you have a group of friends that need some yummy food, this is your spot. Although their prices are high, $16 for a torta, it's usually worth it, because their portions are quite generous. Earlier today, I ordered a torta to go, and I ended up extremely disappointed when I got home. It had literally half the meat, half the beans, and half the cheese that it normally does. This was the first time I'd been disappointed with their food, but I decided to call and express my dissatisfaction. I was passed to the manager who handled the situation in the most unprofessional way. I explained the issue to him, and he insisted that my torta today had the same amount of meat, beans, and cheese as always. I disagreed with him, and he responded angrily, "Everybody makes mistakes!" He raised his voice and repeated it a couple of times. It was completely bizarre that he chose to speak to me as if I was the one who'd done something wrong. It's very childish to do a subpar job and then get upset and frustrated when you're called on it. An adult apologizes and pledges to not blow it again. Anyhow, I don't tolerate disrespectful people so I'm done. I won't spend another penny there.

COCKROACH Believe me!…read more Never thought it would happen to me. First, the host took long and never brought the menu. The waiter brought it, okay. The host brought the tortilla chips. I found a hair in the chips. It was underneath some chips and the rest sticking out. Okay, a hair, asked for new chips from the host since he was passing by and brought the first. I asked for some fresh ones and told him there was a hair in it. Didn't say anything but looked at the chips to see what I was talking about. I got through part of my burrito and felt something oddly crunchy. I was like, wtf, I took it out of my mouth and it was dark and flaky. Part of it looked red and part just too dark. Since I saw what was reddish, I thought it was a roasted pepper , that didn't seem right though. I thought I was a pepper, kept eating. Had some a third of the burrito left and was getting ready to ask for a box. As the waiter was passing, I started looking at the crunchy thing I took out of my mouth and took a closer look. It became more apparent that it was a ROACH . Yes, I unfortunately ate part of it if not most of it. I had been there a few times and never had an issue. I was still in disbelief but asked him what it was. I placed it in his hand. He said it looked like shrimp, that it turns dark when it's cooked, but it still shouldn't be there he said. I was just tripping on it and was like, no, but then was like it has to be. What else could it be? There's no way shrimp gets like that, I don't eat shrimp. I don't know what it turns out looking like... They didn't charge me for the meal. Marco's first reaction though when I told him was like ugh, you're going to put me through this and went off looking back at me. Yes, I put him through it. His service was mediocre but still gave him a decent tip. You tell me what it looks like. I was nauseous and disgusted all night and to this day. UNBELIEVABLE!

As one can imagine, we have seen many changes over the years here in Redlands, some good, and some not so good. But ... we could always count on Cucas to be GOOD and consistent with their food. However, we both have noticed that lately the burritos aren't the same, specifically the red and green burritos. I've always bragged that Cucas has the best bean/cheese burritos hands-down! But we've noticed that the beans are more dry and pasty now. Cucas' beans were always a little on the runny side all through the years and they were delicious! When I would cut my burrito in half, the beans would come pouring out a little bit ... yum! Not only are the beans now more dry and pasty, but when I order a green burrito, there is literally NO green sauce! I started ordering EXTRA green sauce, and there was still LITTLE to NO green sauce! And I always order sour cream as well, but lately there is a small little squirt at the very top of the burrito, and a small little squirt at the bottom of the burrito, with none in between! What the heck?? I'm sure they wouldn't make their own burrito like that, or their family member's burrito like that! I even started ordered EXTRA sour cream as well, but still there was LITTLE to NO sour cream! The old Cucas NEVER made the burritos like that. Seems to be some "shrink-flation" going on ... ? And let's not forgot that we are charged extra $$$ for the "so called extra" green sauce and sour cream! Unfortunately I will no longer order burritos from Cucas. New people moving to Redlands do not have a comparison, so they just accept this. In closing, I would like to say that the ground beef tacos are bomb! Lot's of meat, not skimpy, and also not skimpy on the sour cream for the tacos, only the burritos. So sad, I miss "old" Cucas from days gone by ... sniff sniff :-(
