Woke up with a major hangover from cinco de Mayo and felt like some cure all menudo. The menudo was pretty good. Decently priced, they add a good amount of meat and all basic menudo ingredients are included. The people working were all good people too.

I've been meaning to post this for awhile........ The food is really good. Chilli Rellenos with sauce, their tacos and the red chicken soup its all so delicious. They are always so friendly, smiling and helpful at the little kitchen area.

Nestled in the back of the Ranch Market, this little known Mexican food spot has some of the best, most authentic Mexican food I've ever had at a great price. The chefs at La Cocina have access to authentic, traditional, and most importantly fresh ingredients located throughout the market to make for a great place to stop on your lunch break. The food is cheap, they have an extensive menu and a very friendly staff. If you like Mexican food you have to try the food at La Cocina

Very nice employees and love their food and grocery selection! Great price! I will surely recommend this to my family and friends!

I was waiting for a tire repair just next door when I realized I was getting hungry! Walked here…read morebecause it was the closest thing and man was that a nice little find. I got the California burrito and it was really well balanced. For those who are uninitiated the California burrito is meat, sour cream, guacamole, and French fries crammed with a few other odds and ends into a tortilla. They found a balance in those ingredients that is really hard to pull off. Other places tend to put too much guac to the point where it's gushing in your mouth with every bite. Sometimes the fries are soggy or there is too much sour cream. These guys managed to get the fries crispy, and the guac and sour cream was even through the whole burrito. The vibe is very different from your normal taco shop. It looks like a cross between a 1950s diner and a taco joint. They were blasting oldies from that era too so that was a nice twist on the typical formula. Looking forward to coming back!

Although their prices are high, $16 for a torta, it's usually worth it, because their portions are quite generous. Earlier today, I ordered a torta to go, and I ended up extremely disappointed when I got home. It had literally half the meat, half the beans, and half the cheese that it normally does. This was the first time I'd been disappointed with their food, but I decided to call and express my dissatisfaction. I was passed to the manager who handled the situation in the most unprofessional way. I explained the issue to him, and he insisted that my torta today had the same amount of meat, beans, and cheese as always. I disagreed with him, and he responded angrily, "Everybody makes mistakes!" He raised his voice and repeated it a couple of times. It was completely bizarre that he chose to speak to me as if I was the one who'd done something wrong. It's very childish to do a subpar job and then get upset and frustrated when you're called on it. An adult apologizes and pledges to not blow it again. Anyhow, I don't tolerate disrespectful people so I'm done. I won't spend another penny there.

COCKROACH Believe me!…read more Never thought it would happen to me. First, the host took long and never brought the menu. The waiter brought it, okay. The host brought the tortilla chips. I found a hair in the chips. It was underneath some chips and the rest sticking out. Okay, a hair, asked for new chips from the host since he was passing by and brought the first. I asked for some fresh ones and told him there was a hair in it. Didn't say anything but looked at the chips to see what I was talking about. I got through part of my burrito and felt something oddly crunchy. I was like, wtf, I took it out of my mouth and it was dark and flaky. Part of it looked red and part just too dark. Since I saw what was reddish, I thought it was a roasted pepper , that didn't seem right though. I thought I was a pepper, kept eating. Had some a third of the burrito left and was getting ready to ask for a box. As the waiter was passing, I started looking at the crunchy thing I took out of my mouth and took a closer look. It became more apparent that it was a ROACH . Yes, I unfortunately ate part of it if not most of it. I had been there a few times and never had an issue. I was still in disbelief but asked him what it was. I placed it in his hand. He said it looked like shrimp, that it turns dark when it's cooked, but it still shouldn't be there he said. I was just tripping on it and was like, no, but then was like it has to be. What else could it be? There's no way shrimp gets like that, I don't eat shrimp. I don't know what it turns out looking like... They didn't charge me for the meal. Marco's first reaction though when I told him was like ugh, you're going to put me through this and went off looking back at me. Yes, I put him through it. His service was mediocre but still gave him a decent tip. You tell me what it looks like. I was nauseous and disgusted all night and to this day. UNBELIEVABLE!

A colleague spoke very highly of Taco Shack and after a close examination of the menu, I was in shock to see a California Burrito on their menu. I had to try it. The result? PERFECTION! Even the tortilla of the burrito was amazing. Aside from a tasty California Burrito, my first visit to Taco Shack was accompanied with friendly and fast service. The staff working the day I came in were kind, patient, and quick with orders. The establishment itself is a counter service type of spot. They have tables inside and a nice size patio area in front of the restaurant to enjoy some outdoor seating. I'm thrilled to have found Taco Shack and will definitely be stopping by again to try more items off of their menu.
