    Cafe Caprese

Such a hot day today, so I got two small plates: Cafe Caprese and the Burrata with Shrimp and Scallops These were both ok - not amazing. The shrimp were overcooked but the scallops were perfectly cooked. The Burrata was just ok, a little watery/curdy. It's an odd combination so I had to try it. The Caprese had spinach and roasted red peppers on it. Staff were excellent!! Server, helper, hostess They have nice gluten-free and vegetarian menu options so a whole star for that! Wine selection was decent. They had some non-American options by the glass (American wines give me a headache!) They do not have a full bar. They have some special cocktails but all were too sweet for my keto diet. Olive oil on table was past its prime. This really should be brought out fresh for each new customer, not left on he table ho absorb the sun and heat. Ample parking This is a well-cared-for restaurant in a tough market so kudos to the owner.

We ate here last night for Valentines Day, food and service was superb. I had the Fettuccine Alfredo topped with scallops, shrimp, lobster, just delicious. My wife had the Grilled Sirloin, it was like butter, very tender. Can't go wrong at this place, always delicious.

Due to my previous experience here, when my friend asked me to come to a book club supper here I was extremely reluctant, but it was a group event and I didn't want to create a fuss. On an extremely frigid Saturday evening we arrived for our 5:30 reservation at 5:28. One person was 10 minutes late and though tables were empty, we could not be seated until our party was complete. We ordered and our drinks arrived quickly. I had ordered peach tea and was surprised mine arrived in a bottle. Soon, our food arrived. I was glad because I was beside the window an it was quite drafty. The dining area isn't particularly large and I assume this is why the service is so highly focused on turning over tables as quickly as possible. It bears mentioning here that due to the weather half the tables were empty this night. My tuna steak was cool, and the sear was a little light for my taste. I ordered the house made blue cheese dressing which was bland. Think sour cream with blue cheese crumbles in it. The salad had plentiful greens and veggies which was lovely. The Chloe fries which I was told was their best dish was home fries with some creamy type of perhaps ricotta or cottage cheese and some bacon crumbles. I would've given the food a 3 star review if not for the service... we were presented with the bill shortly after we finished our entrees and while we all still had other food to finish. Once the bill was paid we were continuing our conversation and sipping our drinks when the hostess came to ask if we needed anything else and also let us know they needed our table for a large party they were expecting. I wished I could've changed the tip I had left and after this experience I absolutely will not be back.

This place is the best around the area hands down. We always come here and get the same thing. Our usuals: chole fries and seafood diavolo( you cannot go wrong, I promise you!). The food is really good and the portions are huge. Tonight we also got a kahlua cake(which is a must). We also got a bottle of wine. The servers are very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place. If you haven't been, you should check out this place. You'll thank me later!

Service was great. Staff were friendly. Most importantly the food was delicious. I had their special of red snapper and shrimp with a lobster cream sauce. Fish was cooked perfectly. For sides I had a salad and pasta w/ Alfredo. The home made blue cheese is so tasty. Loved the Alfredo too. My daughter loves mussels and had the appetizer special for her meal. They mussels were huge and delicious. It should go on their menu frequently. Overall great experience and will be back.

This is the Seafood sampler. In my home town this would cost $20 more than this little unassuming place nestled in Pottersville.

Ate at Cafe ADK twice this week. Tremendous value for portion and food quality . Service on Wed - excellent. Friday - super busy, good. every meal was very good to excellent both times.

We haven't been here in a while, but I'm glad we came back. Everything was great. Nice selection fairly priced. We will go back. They have wine & beer specials. You can bring your own, but they have a corking fee. Service is very good and the ambiance is cozy

Stopped for dinner enroute to Lake Placid. Was happy to find several vegetarian and vegan selections. We ordered the eggplant parm and the veggie dumpling entree. Both were well prepared and tasty. The service was friendly and casual and the vibe is quiet, relaxed and comfortable. And they serve Founders Scotch Ale - one of my favorite brews.

Wow! This was great. We stayed in North Creek, we came here after a day on the slopes at Gore. We didn't realize it wasn't with a bar, but that was ok. We had bottled iced tea and Perrier. We started with the She Crab Soup, finger licking good. The bread was crusty and warm. I had the Wild Salmon dish. It was good! The rice was blah, I would have preferred better rice or mashed potatoes. The chicken bang bang sandwich was tasty as well. Service was great. Very cozy and warm as well in the cold night. The regulars there enjoyed themselves we even witnessed an anniversary dinner with the help of a waitress setting up some flowers.

The best food in the Adirondack mountains. We've been dining here for years and it's consistently delicious. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. A great place to enjoy the perfect meal with family and friends

Highly recommend this small restaurant if you are visiting Adirondack. Staff are very friendly and the food portion are very generous. The price are reasonable. You will walk out with to go box. We had the steak , Chloe's chicken and chicken Parmesan. Everything on the menu is good. You are allow to bring your own bottle of wine if you don't like there selections. They only have beers and wine menu only no hard liquor.

To be honest I have never been tempted to try their sweets as it appears ordinary and not very moist looking. Boy was I so so wrong. The cookies, the cinnamon bun etc were all so so yummy. I will always get their sweets whenever I stop in. All their personal faves on recommendation were spot on! You really can't go wrong with whatever you get here!

Seriously, there is someone here to blame. What is their name? I want to know. Sure, it's not a civil or criminal offense. But it's a crime against food. It's a crime against the people of Saratoga Springs. And it's just plane offensive. I regret if anyone was driven to try Mrs. London's based on my previous glowing reviews. I am so sorry. I had no idea. But I was just there this morning. I gazed into the pastry case at the croissants, and my heart sank. I felt sick. The croissants looked like something you would see in an airport. I think the croissants at Costco might be better. These were flat, flabby, and pale things. Far from the perfect, golden, flaky, structured, glistening beauties of the past. And this isn't about fond recollections. I have receipts. Photos from the past and pictures of the present. It's night and day. If the new owners aren't going to preserve Mrs. London's food, they should have the decency to put someone else's name on the joint. I too asked about the breads, and was told "their baker retired". Fortunately, Michael London taught other people to bake amazing artisan bread, and his legacy lives on elsewhere. Unfortunately, nobody at the shop bearing his name bothered to pick up the torch. What a shame. It is so sad. I am literally heart broken. This was one of my favorite bakeries in the country. I went out of my way to make a special stop in my limited time passing through the region. But I suppose nothing lasts forever, and this is a valuable reminder of that unfortunate fact. My days visiting Mrs. London's are over. I can no longer recommend it in good conscience. Perhaps the hot chocolate is still good, and the decor is still lovely. However, if you look closely at the glowing reviews, they all point back to a time that has now sadly passed.
