Drink: 4/5 Chai cloud latte, sweet, and sort of corny? I'm not sure exactly how to describe the flavor but it's your usual chai cinnamon but with a slight hint of corn aftertaste? It's not unusual but definitely a surprise. I personally think the drinks here are on the sweeter side. I've gotten their match and vanilla lattes and both are sweeeet! Service: 5/5 Quick and personable. The girl at the counter was very sweet and quick to help me with my order Ambiance: 4/5 It's really bright inside with the all white and beige interior. You'd easily get a migraine if you stay for too long xD It's modern and sleek, your typically millennial beige decorations lol Overall: 4.5/5 (rounding to a 5)
I decided to try their Vietnamese coffee and it was pretty good! Although, it wasn't 100% authentic, I pleasantly enjoyed the drink and loved how well the cream foam went with the drink. It wasn't that bitter and was decently sweet. The service was good. The server took my orders and answered any questions I had. The drink was quick to be made as well. Inside is very nice! Very clean and organized and there's a decent amount of seating. They have some holiday decorations as well which is cool.
ate here with Erica and got her matcha cake, which tasted a bit bland...was not impressed. But! Her strawberry yogurt drink was like melted strawberry ice cream that was too good. I do not usually order the fruity sweet drinks because usually like chocolate type of sweetness, but I wish that I got this order! Instead, I got the dalgona latte, which was pleasant. I liked it, but watch out for that first latte sip because very hot! Took about 10 to 15 minutes for my drink to finally cool down, haha service was good. they were very sweet and did not make me feel overwhelmed with ordering because I took my time to read the menu and decide what I ultimately wanted. they took their time with me, so their patience goes unnoticed by me. very bright white lights that give a sort of hospital feel...at least it was easy to read the menu, which they have conveniently set at the front of the cashier desk. many chairs and wooden booths to sit at. bathroom was not restocked , which was :/, but clean enough. they also have another room next to the bathroom if you do not want to be around the right white lights, but no one was there. so, I recommend that you wait for your order in the main room before you go to that other one. Would come here again to try that shiny and round chocolate mousse cake! Wish that I got that with my order
They did a nice job brightening up the space with their remodel. We had yuzu and green tea drinks and they were good. Nothing super special, but what I expected. Would return if in the area.

If I come for a food, my friend and I always get the Bagel & Lox and the wait is usually a 30 minutes or more sometimes. We understand when the business flow may delay food preparation, but the portion we are served is different every time. Today, we had waited almost an hour for our food because our order was mistakenly lost and we were gifted 2 cheesecakes for hospitality which we appreciated, but our bagels were the flattest we've ever received them. It's a little frustrating when it's a flat price for an item and we don't know if we'll get lucky that day or not.
Came back and tried the strawberry matcha this time -- sooo good. The matcha flavor was balanced perfectly, not too strong or bitter, and paired really well with the sweetness and slight tang of the strawberry purée. Super refreshing and definitely something I'd order again.
Crème Brûlée Honey Toast!! Wow! Not too sweet, mild honey flavor. The bread had a crunchy crust, but soft fluffy middle that absorbed all the custard from the Crème Brûlée. Pleasantly light dessert, wasn't heavy, left my sweet tooth satisfied. The Pistachio Crème Latte was a nice surprise. I could taste the richness of the pistachios, the cream while thick was not heavy. It complimented the latte well.
Beautiful interior, a lot of seating. Employees were nice, helped me decide what to order. Reminds me of cafe dabang, a unique korean cafe and the wall/color scheme definitely gives LA. idk if corn bingsoo is my fav because it was really just syrups with the ice, and i like other toppings in my bingsoo. I would come back and try the injeolmi next time. Also tried the sweet potato cheesecake, which was light n fluffy but sweet potato flavor is a bit overpowering so i would get another flavor.
This café has a limited menu focused on sweet drinks and teas, along with a small selection of Korean-inspired desserts. The space is bright, clean, and a nice place to catch up with friends. Service, however, felt a bit dismissive. I recommend asking for your drink less sweet unless you enjoy very sugary treats. I do miss the more extensive menu that Café Noir offered under the previous ownership.
So aesthetic, from the giant mirror at the door to the warm-toned tables and to the dessert plating. I absolutely loved the creme brulee honey bread. It was crunchy on the top, soft in the bottom and sweet overall.

There's plenty of space for catching up or studying. The drinks are pretty good, and their honey breads are really good! I haven't tried the macarons or cheesecake yet. Thumbs up for the convenient location and overall amazing cafe in the area!
Some friends of mine wanted to matcha really bad before dinner so I tagged along to come here. I don't really drink matcha so I was hoping they would have other options. I'm so glad that they did! I ended up getting a Green Grape Ade which was actually pretty refreshing! The ordering was quick and I got my drink pretty fast too! The inside was cute and they even had a Christmas tree to keep up with the holiday season. Not a bad spot!
First of, I love the aesthetics of this new cafe. If reminds me a lot of cafes in Korea with natural-colored interior. It's quiet and spacious during weekday lunch time. I came specifically for the corn cream latte, and it did not disappoint. The first sip was especially amazing! My only complain is that the residue on the bottom made the last sips impossible to drink. The pistachio cream latte, according to my friend, is not as pistachio forward as she hoped, but the coffee is strong.
5/5 wfh, chill, and study spot!! Went on a Saturday afternoon and had no problem finding a seat. Plentiful of seating and outlets! Surprisingly, the high chairs are comfortable. Lots of people were working or studying on their laptop. Wifi was fast -- no lag! Lofi music was played in the background and volume was moderate -- chatter level. You do need to ask for bathroom code though. The employees were friendly and helpful. Can't say much about the drinks since I just ordered a 16 oz. Iced Americano but it was good! read more

Cafe Spot has a very nice, modern interior, spacious, clean, and a solid place to study or hang out. I've been here a couple of times and usually order the matcha latte with oat milk. Overall, it tastes pretty good. The matcha isn't too bitter and not grainy, which I like. During peak hours it can get pretty hectic, so expect a crowd. One visit stood out though, I waited almost an hour for two drinks when it wasn't busy. Turns out they forgot the order (partially my fault for not checking in sooner), but it was still frustrating. Overall, good drinks and a great space, but inconsistency with wait times keeps this at three stars for me. read more

Everything we ordered was delicious! The mango bingsu was refreshing, perfectly sweet, and made with fresh mango. The toast was also excellent, buttery, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. Both desserts were beautifully presented and perfect for sharing. I would definitely come back for the mango bingsu and toast again! read more

Café Spot is located in Federal Way in a plaza with several other businesses. There is parking available, but it could be a bit tricky getting a spot depending on how busy it may be in the area since there are a lot of other restaurants in this plaza. My sister and I visited during their grand opening on Thursday, January 16th at around 6:30PM and it was busy! There were lots of people inside studying, as well as chatting. The aesthetics quite minimal décor and colors, but very brightly lit inside. We were able to order on the self-ordering kiosk when we arrived. You are also able to order with an employee if they aren't busy making drinks or other items. We ordered the Matcha Cream Latte, Pistachio Cream Latte, and Strawberry Honey Bread. I really liked the Pistachio Cream Latte compared to the Matcha Cream Latte. I haven't had honey bread/toast in awhile, so I was pretty excited to try it here! As expected, it was yummy. Not too sweet. I was a little bummed by the size of the bread. I thought it would be a bit bigger. I would come again to try other items if I'm in the area! read more
Few times here after dining at other restaurants nearby. You can't go wrong with their smoothies but the matcha latte was too watery since they added ice. I don't think you can order their drinks w/o ice. Cream brûlée honey toast was good but overpriced. Service was ok, they just looked unhappy(although it wasn't too busy). read more

Came here for a sweet treat and it hit the spot! They had toasts and other asian style desserts. I chose the yogurt drink which felt a bit artificial tasting and a bit too sweet for my liking. I wouldn't recommend that. The macarons were pretty good! I got the fruity pebble and cookies and cream and ended up really liking the cookies and cream one. The service was ok, but the wait time wasn't too crazy. I think this would be a good place to come and study but wouldn't go out of my way to come here to eat. read more

First time here, arrived about 20 mins after they opened, they weren't busy. I ordered through their self-order kiosk. I was debating on getting their matcha latte or matcha cream latte. I asked one of the workers what was the difference, he stated, "the matcha cream latte has espresso shots and a thicker matcha foam, while the matcha latte is just matcha and milk but the matcha is syrup." I opted for their matcha latte cause I did not want coffee but was a little skeptical cause I've never heard of matcha being in a syrup form but I wanted to try it out. Overall, drink is alright, kind of chalky and there's not much matcha to it, the milk overpowers the matcha. When mixed it's a light green color hence it being a syrup. Cute cafe, it's very simple & they do have a lot of seating, so you could potentially to do some work/homework or just hang there with friends. They do have food options but I did not try any, so I will be going back to try them. read more
I heard from friends that this place took the spot of Cafe Noir which I regrettably did not get to try but I love everything about this place! It shares parking with many other businesses nearby, so expect it to be hard finding any during late-night hours. When I got here with friends around 8pm on a Friday night, it was almost full inside; it's brightly lit with many seats for groups of mostly 2 to 4 people, along with a small back room with several more tables just past the restrooms. There's also counter seating separate from the registers and kiosks where you place your orders. They have tons of stuff here like coffee, lemonade, tea, yogurt and their highly advertised honey breads. For this visit I got the matcha cream latte for myself, and a strawberry honey bread to split with my friends. I'm so happy they had a decaffeinated version for their cream lattes especially since I really wanted a latte at night but without the insomnia aftereffect it would give when I go to sleep! The latte was great and the cream inside gave it an extra sweet kick that I needed to offset the coffee taste that usually overpowers most coffee blends I get. The strawberry honey bread was the best thing I got here; it was a stack of three pieces of bread cut into three sections, and smothered with strawberry pieces, strawberry ice cream, strawberry jam (maybe) and some honey and flour. It was kinda hard to cut even though the sections were precut for us, but we still got all the great taste off of it and definitely wanna try their even more highly advertised creme brulee honey bread. This place was nearly a full house from when we got here all the way till its closing time at 10pm, and it's a great spot to hang with friends at and grab some really delicious desserts! read more

Cafe Spot took over the old Cafe Noir, that's why it looks so different and brighter! The remodeling Def makes the place more homey/inviting with the wood and white tones. This place has a variation of drinks and they have some desserts as well. But man, this place gets jammed packed like sardines. When we went, the line was out the door and starting to go around the corner. You go to the kiosk to place your order. And they have photos of most things from what I recall. We ended up getting a few different drinks, but some of our party said the drinks are pretty but there wasn't much of a taste for some that ordered the ades. The staff , we didn't really engage with since we ordered through the kiosk, and they were slammed with orders. read more
As soon as I heard about Cafe Spot, I knew I had to try it. When we arrived around 11:30am, it was fairly busy but there is plenty of seating and our order was made within 10 minutes, which was nice. I originally got the Pistachio Cream Latte but it was personally too strong (espresso) and not sweet at all, so I asked if I could switch and they had no problem making me a different drink. So I went with a matcha strawberry latte, which was perfect. We split the dessert and the earl grey cheesecake tasted just like the tea and wasn't overly heavy like some cheesecake can be. The crème brûlée toast was my favorite... the bread was light/fluffy and the crème brûlée / topping added the perfect sweetness without making it tooth achingly sweet. Overall, glad I made the 30 minute trip and gave them a try. read more

This cafe is very cute and bright. There is a lot of seating and the place is very nice for studying too. I highly recommend the crème brulee honey toast! They use a croissant-like toast and it's amazing. The lattes tasted watered down but the cream was very good. Mango Yogurt drink is similar to adding fruit purée to calpico and it's really good too! Took a star off since the bathroom was dirty and does not look maintained. read more
Cafe Spot is a new and trendy shop in Federal Way and I think it's definitely worth a visit! RIP Cafe Noir though. I loved Cafe Noir and will miss it foreva [heartbroken emoji]. They have self serve kiosks, so no need to socialize with your cashiers I guess. Efficient though I guess, and the staff is nearby if you do have questions. I ordered the corn cream latte, and went with a big group and we all ordered different drinks. One of my cousins ordered a pistachio cream latte, and another ordered the matcha cream latte. I think the coffee drinks overall were really good. Corn cream lattes are usually a hit or miss for me, but the corn latte here is definitely a hit! Really good! Not for everyone, but it was good. The blended drinks on the menu were nothing special, and dare I say definitely not worth the price. There were also really pricey pastries. The basque cheesecake was $7 and it was kind of small, and then a macaron was $3.5!! I feel like $6 for the basque cheesecake and $2.5 wouldn't feel that outrageous. The basque cheesecake slice was good though. We got the earl grey one and it had that nice aftertaste of earl grey. Yummy! And filling! And unique, because I don't usually see cheesecake much on cafe's menus, so the $7 is forgivable for now... I guess (not really). The ambiance was clean. Sterile is the word my partner used. I get we want things to be modern, but the hospital lighting was freaking me out. I wish it had a warmer vibe. It also looked like there was a quieter study room in the back? I didn't inspect too deep though. Overall, definitely check this place out. Yummy drinks, yummy pastries even though they're overpriced, and can be a fun vibe if you get other the harsh white lighting. read more

I am kind of sad about Cafe Noir closing but I was very impressed by Cafe Spot when I tried it. Walking in, I immediately noticed the bright light and minimalistic decor of the cafe. It really fits in with the aesthetic that a lot of cafes seem to go for these days. There's a good amount of seating and also outlets if you wanted to do your work here. I got the yuza ade and creme brulee honey toast. I thought the yuza ade had good yuzu, citrus flavor and was sweet and refreshing. Very easy to drink. The creme brulee honey toast was good as well. Nice amount of honey. Toast was thick so it balanced the amount of honey and creme very well. Wish it was more brulee'd though, especially the outer parts since only the middle part seemed to be torched. Their coffee and matcha drinks sound delicious and I definitely want to come back to try those! They also have other desserts like macarons and basque cheesecake in their shelf at the counter as well. read more

DM them for a coupon to use during grand opening :) They have 6 different signature cream coffees and we got to try chestnut and corn. Personally loved the chestnut cream latte! Super creamy and not overly too sweet. Their creme brûlée honey bread was delicious soft, crispy, sweet and buttery! Definitely going back to try the other honey breads. Basque cheesecakes are homemade and was perfectly creamy/ soft!! read more

So far, I've tried the Matcha Cream Latte, Pistachio Cream Latte, and the Crème Brûlée Honey Bread. Everything has been really good! The coffee is excellent -- the matcha especially stands out. The honey bread was delicious (though it is $18), definitely a nice treat to share. The service is very friendly, the space is clean, and the overall atmosphere inside is really nice. Definitely a good spot to relax with great drinks and desserts. read more
I was really hoping to like this cafe as I want to find a nice cafe to just sit down and talk, especially if they offer outdoor seating so I can bring my fur babies with me. However, this cafe was super disappointing the two times I visited. The first was their opening day as I had a coupon from them by following them on Instagram. It was definitely packed and the employees seemed to be rushed and too busy to offer any professional service. Additionally, the menu isn't very detailed and what my boyfriend thought was a hot drink was a slush drink and I asked for light ice but it seemed to do nothing as more than 70% of the cup was just ice. I got maybe 5 sips in and that was it. The second time, I came here with my mother as she wanted to try them out since they are new and the previous location was where she and her sisters would meet for coffee and talking. This was several months after and they still took much too long to make drinks, like almost 20-25 minutes. Service also hasn't changed, no greeting or service. If anything, they seem to just assume people use the kiosks, even though I noticed there were people waiting at the cashier counter to be helped. Anyways, we weren't expecting to wait that long and we also got the cheesecake with our drinks, and at that point, I felt it would have been better to just give us the cakes as it was hard to bring all of it to the table by myself. They don't even offer trays. Definitely not a cafe to stay for a while or to make your stay comfortable. They also again ignored my light ice request and I barely got any sips of what was a decent drink. The cheesecake was alright too but nothing memorable or worth getting again here, I know other cafes that offer it. The remodel is the only really good thing about this cafe, but everything is lacking and a waste. read more

What I ordered: Passion Fruit Ade, Corn Cream Latte, Strawberry Honey Bread, Original Basque Cheesecake, Cookies & Cream, and Matcha Macaron. This is a cute cafe that's bright and reminds me of the cafes in Korea. I came around 11:30 AM on a Tuesday. Not many people there as they just opened at 11 so that was nice. Everyone working there was really nice. The fruit ade was very refreshing, I tried a couple of their other fruit ades and they were all good. Not really a fan of the corn cream latte, the macarons were decent, but I loved the strawberry honey bread, and the basque cheesecake was really hitting the spot for me. The honey bread came with strawberry ice cream with fresh strawberries and some sauce. I literally ate the whole honey bread as my breakfast. Haha. There is a good amount of seating but I hear it can get busy in the evenings. read more
