We were looking for a place for a quick bite after going to the Museum of The American Revolution and Cafe Square One came up. We found a healthy selection of salads, wraps, melts, and paninis. My son chose the Italian Melt, which he said was buttery and delicious. His girlfriend had the Spicy Philly panini. She liked it and said the heat snuck up on her after a few bites. She couldn't eat the whole thing so she took half home. I had the chicken pesto panini. It was delicious with a lot of fresh spinach. I would order it again. I was disappointed because they have a large coffee drink menu but not even one decaf option. Also, they had several specials but all were sold out by 2:45 pm when we arrived. Decorated with sticks strawberries, blue berries, raspberries, banana, shaved almonds, drizzled with honey. It was perfect. Each bite had crunch and flavor. This is what I opened, it came packed full of spinach (threw some out before I decided to take a picture) and on soggy plain bread with the smallest amount of chicken and pesto. Not even CLOSE to what I ordered. I also ordered a spicy philly panini that was also supposed to be on ciabatta bread, and it came on soggy regular bread as well. So not only was one order wrong, both were wrong. I am extremely disappointed as the food looks nothing like how it is described or pictured. I do not recommend this place. Seems like a neighborhood favorite and if this was my neighborhood I'd be there every morning! The staff is so kind and caring, ready to help and serve up your order quickly. I can't say enough how warm and inviting they made me feel each morning (went 3 mornings in a row while in town). Good coffee and a plentiful selection of sandwiches and other breakfast items. It's quiet, roomy, and its located a block or two from Independence Hall. She had a hazelnut latte with an egg, cheese and sausage bagel sandwich, i had a hazelnut drip coffee and the breakfast burrito. Both were amazing!! Although, being from southern California, i gotta say, the burrito needed salsa! Still, the food was fresh and tasty and the lunch menu looked even better!
