Alan the Manager was very kind and knowledgeable. His sense of customer service is excellent. Alan, our wait person or server was very nice and well and attentive to our needs. The food came out in creative ways with strawberries on top of the burrata sourdough toast. And the strawberries were nice and sweet. The beet salad was healthy and tasted good. I felt the dressing that vinaigrette based was a bit too vinegary so I'm glad I asked for it on the side so I could use it with my taste buds. They have desserts and coffee and breakfast items to go when you enter on the left side as well as a bar so it's very convenient inside the hotel Kimpton hotel Monaco in Philadelphia. Parking can be on the street for about five or six dollars per hour with the parking app or you can pay with your credit card at the meter. And you have to pay until 10 PM.

I was walking to my hotel from the hospital and passed this. I was craving something green for dinner. I stopped in, sat at the bar, and ordered a cocktail, the Caesar salad, and the Brussels app. I got the food at the same time per my request. I started with the Walnut Street cocktail which was delicious Loved the salad. It was hearty and well seasoned. The black pepper was a surprise but good addition. Lettuce was fresh. The Brussels portion was crazy big. I could have fed the whole bar! They were served warm and very good. I wanted dessert but they said the kitchen had closed. I asked if I could get ice cream. They came back with 3 flavor choices: vanilla, chocolate, and matcha. I chose vanilla and ordered a shot of amaretto to pour on top. Perfect. Bartenders were very attentive and not intrusive. Bar had a good vibe. Would return.

Decent breakfast; amazing bartender! Tallow Fried Tots- large, crispy, house-made potato rounds underneath cheese sauce, brisket, & green onions. Good & filling. Eggs Benedict- ham, hollandaise, side arugula salad. The egg was overcooked & gelatinous. I was very much looking forward to the run of the yolk, but still enjoyed it. My 2 pet peeves- overcooked eggs and COLD food. Every breakfast ordered here arrived cold. Not sure why, it's a tiny place & the food barely needs to travel. But feel like everything would've been really good if not for that. What unexpectedly knocked my socks off was the pancakes! They were HUGE & the pat of butter on top was sprinkled in salt. That tiny detail made them the most savory-sweet indulgence of the trip. I will FOREVER salt my pancake butter as a result. TY Red Owl Tavern. The standout was the bartender who on a late Monday night, when most would've been shutting sh*t down, was making homemade batches of syrups & knocking our socks off w/ one fantastic cocktail after another! Husband couldn't get enough of the Campfire Old Fashioned. I'm Your Huckleberry kept me happy, but The Zombie Luau really brought things home. I rarely drink anymore, but this Honeypot of a bar menu had us going for broke!

Great choice for a party of 10. The restaurant was able to accommodate a reservation on short notice the peanut butter mousse was awesome and not overly sweet or rich. I especially loved the marshmallow cream. The Tagliatelle was very salty and the crab rice was a hit with a little bit of a kick. The waitress did a great job with our party.

We stayed at the hotel here for 7 days and here at least once per day for either breakfast, lunch or dinner. The food was consistently good on all occasions. An omelette for breakfast, Philly cheesesteak for lunch or spicy crab noodles for dinner, it was all good. The Philly Cheesesteak was actually my favorite of 3 I had this week. Service was excellent, cocktails were very good and prices fair.

We had an amazing brunch at Red Owl Tavern and our server Janaye made that experience so much better! The food was delicious and the drinks were phenomenal. We started with the Spicy Crab & Artichoke Dip as well as the Loaded Hash Browns for the table. The Chicken Milanese Hoagie was the star of brunch! The cocktails with an (*) could be made with or without alcohol which made my dining experience as a non-drinker much more enjoyable. Always a 10/10 experience!

This restaurant/ bar was attached to our hotel so we had breakfast there. Glad we did. The Salmon Benedict was very good with plenty of salmon. Service was prompt and accommodating. The vibe was casual, and you could feel the history of the area in the old wood floors and brick walls. Definitely worth checking out for a nice sit-down meal.

Good service and solid food! Our group of four walked in on a moderately busy Tuesday night and were seated right away. Our server was helpful with suggestions and we opted for the spicy crab dip to share at her recommendation. Not especially spicy but I thought the flavor was good. I went with the 12oz prime strip which had a nice garlic herb butter. The bordelaise sauce was fine. I ordered a side of Macaroni au gratin which was pretty good and definitely a shareable side. Overall, our group had a good experience!

Loved this spot! Came down to Philly for a work trip and decided to grab drinks here. Very laidback vibe and their drink menu is solid.

I will start with the good. We came with another family while visiting the Liberty Bell and other Historical and sites in Philly. The place is really cool. Old, historic setting, with an upstairs, and outdoor seating. The service was another big positive. The host was so friendly and welcoming. He told us it would be about a 15 minute wait and checked on us twice to let us know we would be seated soon. We were seated in about 12 minutes. Our server Dierra, was really good. So friendly and attentive. She did a great job! The food was up and down with what we ordered. We split a cheese steak and smoked wings. The smoked wings were awesome. The cheesesteak was just ok at best. In Philly, I wanted a good cheese steak, and this really wasn't it.

This is why I need to do reviews right immediately after I eat. Because I forget the names of the waitresses and the food I ordered. I enclosed photos, but let me try to tell you how this restaurant connected to a hotel is a low key place to grab a bite whenever you are on the outskirts of old city Philly. The place is nestled in the corner, there is a parking garage adjacent on the other corner that has fair rates. My gf and I ordered a Caesar and we split a desert and some kind of fish burger. Initially I wanted a real burger but my gf talked me out of it and my hands were tied. I took my first bite and I knew sharing with her was a bad idea. The sandwich was great. Cooked to perfection. The chocolate desert we got was amazing too! The ambiance was great. Slightly large bud somewhat crammed seating. Rustic old style pub vibes.

Ok, onto the eats! 1. Della Casa ($18): A 12-inch soft seeded sando layered with a schmear of balsamic sundried pepper spread, fresh mozz, and hot cappicola dried with Calabrian chili oil and filled with fresh arugula and house roasted eggplant slices. This was good, however, the eggplant felt kind out of place. The slices were large and a little bit too mushy for my liking and it felt like it could have benefitted from an extra meat or contrast to the softness from the mozz, such as fried eggplant instead. All in all a 7 out of 10. Good but wouldn't order again. 2. Turkey Salumeria ($18.50): Another (delicious) 12-inch soft seeded roll saturated with a delicious house creamy balsamic dressing (could have honestly drank this) + mild prov, LTO, sliced turkey and really great cherry pepper relish. This was a pretty basic, but all the parts came together to make a solid sandwich. I wouldn't necessarily order again but the combination of ingredients and the hellish relish made it a 7.5 out of 10. All in all, the quality of the ingredients, the combinations available on the menu and the stellar staff all make LK popular for good reason. While the selections we had this go around didn't wow us (just lacking a certain je ne sais quoi) I do look forward to going back to try the kale chx caesar, some of their cutlet sandos, roast beef and pork and of course the tomato pie and CCC's!

You can subtly taste the sesame in each bite. Sometimes you'll crunch on a small sesame seed in between bites, surprising you with its toasty flavors. The meat - pause - is cooked so well with the Cooper Sharp cheese, you get a few burnt ends which provides a nice crunch every now and then. The meat itself is seasoned well, but doesn't overpower all the other aspects of the sandwich. It does its job, sometimes singing a split during the song but never out performing the rest of the band members. The cheese - the Cooper Sharp they suggest to go with their cheesesteak is deliciously intentional. No wiz here, which is both a positive and a negative but man does the cheese work well with the meat. It cuts through but doesn't work too hard in the symphony of the sandwich. It sings along harmoniously with the onions, bread, and meat. The service was fast and quick. Very kind at the counter. Angelos is fast paced, when you're ready type your name and number at the counter, let them know your order and wait a couple minutes. It's fast paced, loud, and energetic. Truly nothing less than what I thought the City of Brotherly Love would provide. 5/5 great experience,

I went to Middle Child a few weeks ago just after 3, only to find it closes at 3. Today I returned, around 1, and there was a good crowd there having lunch. I ordered the Surfer, and the Hash Brown Potatoes. The Surfer is Middle Child's most popular sandwich. It's made on a Ciabatta bun, and has a thick layering of tender, lean, House Turkey breast, with melty Swiss cheese, arugula, blueberry chutney, and Duke's mayo. It's hard to describe just how delicious this sandwich was. My biggest concern was the Ciabatta bun - it's not one of my favorites, as I've found them to be tough and difficult to bite through. My fears were quickly put to rest after the first bite! The bun had a slightly crispy exterior - and when I followed through with my first bite, the tender, soft interior of the Ciabatta was a pleasant surprise. In fact, it complemented the thick savory Turkey, arugula, chutney and mayo! It was one of the best Turkey sandwiches I've had. Now, if that wasn't enough, don't forget, I ordered the Hash Brown Potatoes. It said Hash Browns on the blackboard, see attached picture, but these 'weren't your Mama's hash browns'! They are described online as Latka'd Hash Browns. They are thick crispy squares that combine a potato pancake latke with a hash brown texture. The interior reminded me of my mother's potato kugel, which I still reminisce about. In one word, those fried crispy potato squares were outstanding. It's 'a must try' and goes so well with the Surfer! Last, but not least, the Limeade! It was so refreshing! Not too tart, not too sweet... just right! I'll be returning to Middle Child in the not too distant future!

The portion size was good, chicken was fresh with good breading, the hot honey was a tad on the heavy side, but the flavors all came together pretty good on this one. Sweet, salty, light bitterness from the arugula and some heat from the hot honey. I added Thin Cut Idaho fries to make it a combo for $3 extra and I have to say they were delicious. They smelled like McD's and tasted similar. They are cash only, but have an ATM on site. You can use a card if you order online. The one bathroom they have was pretty clean and organized.
