I like how you can order at the front or use the self order kiosk where you can look at pictures of all the drinks. The cheesecake had a good texture, but it could use more matcha flavor. I wasn't expecting the matcha oreo drink to be a frappe. It was pretty icy, milky, and also needed more matcha flavor. You can really taste the tea in the assam tea. Their boba is soft and sweet. The taiyaki or fish pastries were very fresh with perfect texture. They are a bit crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The nutella and red bean tasted as expected. I personally liked the custard, but some people may think it's too sweet. I would recommend getting the fish pastries and a milk tea if you decide to give this place a try. They have a nice seating area and small background to take cute pictures of your dessert. We waited a while since we ordered a good amount, but just be aware of that if you choose to order dessert. read more

Cute little cafe! I feel like I always crave korean shaved ice/bingsu and was so excited to discover that there was a place in Bakersfield that offers it! We usually wait until we go towards LA to get this kind of treat. It's a nice size, though my husband and I demolished it pretty quickly. I don't recall ever having whipped cream in my bingsu previously and was expecting condensed milk either drizzled or for us to drizzle on top. This is my second time coming here, and I'm loving their teas! The assam black milk tea (30% sweet) with coffee jelly is delicious. My partner and I have also tried the boong pang (taiyaki-like fish pastry), which were fantastic. The strawberry custard, custard, and red bean are our faves. We definitely need to come back and try the bingsoo! The interior is clean with plenty of seating. They play good music, though it's pretty loud, so it may not make for a good study spot despite the outlets. Service was fast and friendly. A true gem in the city. Coming from LA, it's been hard trying to find Korean drinks and desserts here but Cafe Tori really hits that mark. Their desserts, drinks and snacks are on par with what you get in K-Town. We've tried the Yuzu and Matcha Oreo Cheesecakes which are the perfect blend of sweet and savory. The açaí and bingsu bowls are fresh and excellent. For that extra pep in your day, the Korean Einspanner coffee drinks are the best I have ever had. The Koromitsu Black Sugar Jelly Frappe is overpowered sugar and coffee will keep you up. Ask for less jelly because they are very chewy. For more traditional snacks, their Boong O Pang is amazingly delicious. I recommend the original Red Bean and Nutella flavors, Strawberry is good too but not their best. If you are in a mood for açaí bowls, get theirs. The açaí mix is very good and not too sweet. The Granola mix and fresh strawberry/bananas they use are a perfect addition to the bowl. The staff and owners are incredibly kind and very helpful when making a selection. It is Korean owned so you know you are getting authentic Korean food. Unique! This location is very unique. The food and drink portions are super interesting if you are a little adventurous with your palate. I enjoyed my choices from this location but one thing is for sure, you won't leave spending less than $10. The service was really quick and I could kinda tell this is a mom and pop location. Okay It's on the expensive side, but absolutely delicious. The mango bingsu is delightful and sweet. It is super refreshing for this hot weather. I've had bingsu that has more syrup in between in layers and condensed milk on the side to put over but they did not have that. It was just the shaved ice/milk then all the syrup and fruit on top. This is my first time coming to this restaurant. I am technically not happy with my purchase. When I received my drink, it was mostly ice and nothing else. You couldn't tell because of all the form on the top, but there was mostly ice in the cup. Maybe about a quarter of it was actual liquid. It also took about 30 minutes to get my order. Also, the lobby was loud and annoying. Kids are running around, kicking things around the lobby while people are trying to receive their orders and eat. I most likely won't return. read more

The drink was delicious, it came up quickly and the staff was very friendly an attentive. What more could you ask for? This place is amazing! First time my family and I came here, we tried the cheesecakes, the strawberry bingsu, the Pat bingsu and every flavor of the fish. It was all super tasty and great. If you follow them on Instagram, they have bogo free Thai teas on Mondays. The matcha coffee dalgona is delicious, also. Place is clean. Owners are super nice and friendly. Vibe is great. There was no hello or even a smile from the employees. The drinks tasted great. The durability of the cups were poor because one of the cups broke easily. The decor inside was modern. Very cute and brand new boba, açaí, and desert bar in bakersfield. I stumbled on this place as I was running errands at vons & the dollar tree in the same shopping center. They didn't have their seating open so I ordered my drink & food to go. I ordered a coconut milk tea with boba and 2 cheesecake slices - mango & yuzu. They were out of a lot of flavors at 4pm. The coconut milk tea boba was creamy and not too sweet, it had a slightly more toasted coconut flavor. Boba was fresh & chewy. The 2 cheesecakes were pretty small for the price but very yummy. I really enjoyed the Mango cheesecake which had the perfect balance of the cheese and sweetness from the mango. It also had a very fresh taste from the mango. The yuzu was unremarkable, just regular cheesecake, but still good. Going back I'd get the mango again and would want To try one of the other flavors like matcha or strawberry. This is a place I've been following for months on instagram and I've finally decided to give it a try. This place reminds me of the trendy boba and smoothie places in Northern California (live there now). Great lighting, seats, music and the staff are always there to offer great recommendations. I decided to order an iced coffee dalgona with coffee jelly because I was was craving some cold caffeine. I also ordered a Kuromitsu Matcha cheesecake because of the recommendation from the staff member behind the counter. This cheesecake is one of the softest pastries I've ever had and I'm surprised how well the matcha meshed with the cheesecake flavor. The coffee was what I expected a sugary and flavorful ice coffee with what closely resembles boba but it's not. I've tried the mango bingsu which was delicious, some of the best I've had and I've tried bingsu in LA and the bay. The texture of the shaved snow is spot on-soft & fluffy. Then my husband found this place and this is what I've been wanting and craving!!! The only downside is that they use mochi instead of the actual rice cake, and it could use a little more of the powder. Have visited Cafe Tori a couple of times now. This small cafe has a nice ambiance to it. Everyone should give them a visit. Cafe Tori is a good option if you are craving Boba in Bakersfield.
