Found Presotea in Bakersfield and it was surprisingly good because the tea is freshly made every time. They're also on Snackpass for rewards points and online ordering. We stopped here on the way and also on the way back since it was so good. There's a great 3 for 2 deal which was perfect for our group of 3. For the free 3rd drink you can only get the Champagne Milk Tea but that's a very good one. Osmanthus Oolong was good, and the Jasmine was solid. read more

Stopped in here on a whim with my daughter. She got the matcha cloud with boba and I got the taro cloud. Both were delicious. What I like the most about this place is you can adjust the sweetness of their drinks. I went with a 30% and my daughter adjusted hers to 50%. Pretty average boba experience. We ordered at the kiosk, so there wasn't much interaction with the staff. The drinks came out fast, but our drinks were slammed on the counter before the staff member disappeared into the back. *Strawberry Cloud: I liked the honey popping boba, and the sweetness at 50% was actually nice. But cutting the sugar also seemed to cut most of the strawberry flavor. The cloud layer was thick, but I wasn't couldn't taste the coconut and cream parts. *Brown Sugar Crème Brûlée: also got this at 50% sweetness, but it still tasted super sweet and resembled 100% at other places. The brown sugar flavor wasn't as deep or toasty as I hoped and leaned milky. The sea cream got lost in the mix. I think it could have used a salty or roasted topping. This is a new location that I have never been to, but I literally drove 45 minutes to this location from where I live because the other location doesn't open up for another two hours. and they no longer carry Matcha much is the only reason why I come here it was very contradictory because he said that they just ran out but it's only 8:30 in the morning and I said so you no longer carry it? He said they're just out of it at the moment. And I said that's strange because it's so early in the morning to be running out and he said that they've been out of it for a long time. So I have no straight answer as to if they are going to get it back in so if you were looking for a Matcha drink, they don't have any. read more

A pretty solid tea shop in the area! You order on the kiosks and interact pretty minimally with the staff (ideal for me). There are plenty of places to sit and chat, and it's kept clean. Orders: Roasted Oolong milk tea with grass jelly (0-30% sweetness, less ice): my go to tea order at most places. Taro milk tea with boba (30% sweetness, less ice): I order this when I'm craving something a little sweeter than normal. Good taro flavor. This past time, the boba was a little too soft for my liking, but it may have just been an off day. White peach oolong tea with coffee jelly (30% sweetness, less ice): my wife's favorite. If you like strong tea flavor, you'll like this one. Just a hint t of peach adds a bit of sweetness. I will say, I think the coffee jelly add on is a weird choice, but she loves it. My favorite boba place in bakersfield! I am a huge fan of their Matcha Cloud but because it was so hot today, I decided to try something new and ordered their Mango Cloud through their app. I ordered when I left the house and by the time I arrived and parked, I was notified my order was ready! I went inside to pick it up but I wanted to let the worker know that I'm here to pick it up however no one really noticed. I love that the workers were focused on making drinks but they weren't attentive to who's going in and out the store. I could've just taken my drink and left but I didn't want them to think I "stole" it. The mango cloud was pretty good. Really excited that places like these are now slowly being introduced in Bakersfield. These places are all over the LA area and now these Taiwanese delights are sharing the love with our city. Living in the southwest part of town, this place is about a 15 minute drive for me but I don't mind because I'll be receiving a great treat at the end of it. We first came here for a Yelp event last month but since then have been thinking about going back. Any day is a good day for some cold refreshing drinks as we slowly wean ourselves out of 100 degree weather. My go-to is the Strawberry Lychee Slush with lychee jelly. This drink is downright refreshing and the lychee flavor just comes through and through. The burst of concentrated lychee flavor is even enhanced by the jelly as you sip your way to the bottom. I've also tried the Matcha Cloud and that distinctive matcha tea flavor is unlike any other. I usually get my drinks with 50% sugar but even with toned down sweetness, the flavors still shine. What's great about Presotea is that the customer can customize their drinks to their liking. If using one of the many kiosks in the store, you can select a drink from an assorted variety from teas, coffees, and slushies. The opportunity to get creative with toppings and sugar levels can really make your drink your own. If too lazy to make the drive, you can also order through Doordash and Grubhub. read more

I love this new boba spot! Sooo delicious! I'm super glad this place is far far away from me because this would be all bad for me. I have been contemplating trying a new flavor every week, but I've been good and have only visited a few times. The drinks are addicting! If you order online don't be intimidated by the percentage of sugar you're contemplating to put in haha. Live a little and put that sugar in!!!! So far I haven't tried a flavor I didn't like. I'm a big fan of milk pudding with boba so I love the different textures in the drink. If you've never tried the milk pudding in your drink and you love puddings then you should add it on your next drink. It's sort of a thick custard and it's not mushy, it has a solid like pudding texture that's kind of like jello. It's not similar to boba because boba is more chewy, but you can usually add it to any drinks. The few times we visited the wait time was never long. The facility is clean and they usually have a good movie playing. They have a good amount of staff and you're able to see everyone working so you know they are clean and everything is made fresh. So if you wanna bring the kids somewhere to grab a drink and cool down, I'm sure they'll enjoy the wait time too because they play a lot of kid friendly movies. Parking is not an issue. There's a lot of other establishments nearby so there's plenty of parking. Don't forget to download their rewards app so you can accumulate points and get freebies. read more

Customer service is lacking, displayed menu prices are different from what they actually charge you. If you don't pay attention you will be charged more than what they're advertising. Came in to order a black milk tea and strawberry snow. Price on their displayed menu showed $5.75 for Assam black milk tea and $7.00 for the strawberry snow. When the cashier rang me up I was being charged $6.00 for the Assam black milk tea and $7.50 for the strawberry snow. I asked about the price difference and was initially told by both the young female worker and young male worker that they didn't know why there was a difference in price, then they said the prices on the menu were probably old. When I asked if they could honor the displayed menu prices, they flatly said no. They advised they could not change the prices in their register, but the young male said he would let his manager know so they could change the displayed prices. I asked if they could contact the manager to ask if they could honor the displayed menu prices and the male employee mumbled to me, "Yeah but we have drinks to make first." The female employee subsequently texted one of their managers, Christine. After a handful of minutes there had been no response, nor any attempt to actually make a phone call to said manager or any other manager, about the issue. I didn't want to waste any more of my time there and now had a bad taste in my mouth about the whole experience so I left and went elsewhere. Would not recommend this place. I'm so glad that we finally have another tea shop on my side of town! Located in the parking lot where the Walmart Neighborhood is, it maybe a little difficult to maneuver your way over there but it is well worth it! Their teas are the star of the show for me. If I want a bold and refreshing tea, this is where I go. Out of all the other tea shops, this is one of the few were their brew success rate is quite high! To me, the perfect tea is a good balance of bitter and sweet. Nothing is worse than getting a tea beverage and having it taste like water! They also use lactose free dairy products in all of their drinks. So, it is great for us lactose intolerant individuals! This is also the only place in town that I know of that uses percentages of sweetness! I love this because I can get my oolong with 50% sweetness with ease! Mind you it's more for the teas, the Vietnamese coffee will most likely have to stay 100% sweet. I also enjoy how easy it is to use the website to order online! Super affective when I want to just pop in and out! They actually get it done sooner than anticipated, which could be good or bad depending on your schedule. Overall, very happy with this place! This boba place was not too far from where I was, so I had to come try it out. It's large and clean inside, nice tables to sit and study if need be. I ordered their brown sugar milk icee as well as their strawberry cloud boba. Drinks came out quickly. People working here are pretty cool. I really wanted to to give this place 5 stars. Everything was really good. Except for the drinks. I've had brown sugar from multiple boba places. And they for the most part taste the same, cold amazing sweetness. But this one was different, and not in a good way. It was bitter. I could not get over the bitterness of it. Prices are average for Bakersfield, but I just cannot overlook how bitter it was. Maybe it was a bad day, because I can't see this place serving this kind of drink and being so well rated online. If I'm in the area and it's 100 degrees again, I'll possibly give them a try again. read more
