This might very well be the best breakfast spot on the west side. I don't think I've ever had service like the way they do it here. They waiters always check on you, if you need a coffee refill, very kind and funny staff. The overall environment is very lively! Now let's get to the good stuff; the food was amazing! I ordered their turkey burger scramble which also came with two pancakes. There were other items that caught my eye, and I'll be more than happy to come back and try those other times. For this day I wanted to find something that included both sweet and savory items. It was the perfect thing to order, along with my iced vanilla latte. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout the meal. Café Vida makes the best breakfast. They have breakfast all day and all the offerings are good. I love the pancakes and eggs. Their Brown rice almond pancakes are gluten free and you can't tell. They have Chia, flax seeds and almonds, topped with fresh berries, and powdered sugar. They are served with with butter and maple syrup. Their Blueberry corn cakes are also great and different. This place was very popular on Saturday! So come early and put your name down. We got sat about 30 mins after, which isn't bad considering every table was full and there were 10+ people ahead of us. I've been going to this Cafe Vida location for a long time, and it's remained one of the most consistent spots for a good breakfast/brunch/lunch in the area. Prices have steadily gone up over the years, and might be a bit much for some folks. That said, the quality of food has remained solid and service has always been good. The first hour of parking was free. We waited for about 20 minutes for a table. They won't seat you until everyone in your group is there. I ordered the chipotle chicken quesadilla with a side of sweet potato fries. It didn't come with any salsa, but it wasn't bad. The portion size was good for the price. The fries were warm and crispy. Enjoyed a nice brunch here with a close friend after a killer workout at nearby The Yard gym. Needless to say, that kicked off an ideal Saturday because the weather was a perfect 75 with slight breeze and college football was on. When we arrived the cafe seemed extremely packed but luckily we were able to be seated quick due to having such a small party of 2, and after being seated we immediately received prompt service welcoming us to the restaurant and the waitress highlighting some of the specials on the menu.
