To start off, they have free street parking nearby which is unheard of in west LA. We beat the lunch crowd and were able to order at the register and pick out a table right away. They have a good amount of staff working, and our dishes were brought out promptly. We got upsold on buying a cinnamon roll to share, and we all liked it but wish it was warmer. All of our main dishes were a perfect portion for our large appetites on move-out day. I had the chilaquiles with perfectly cooked eggs and well-seasoned meat, avocado, and chips.

Review based on recent visit alone. Price inflation is normal throughout LA, but it took almost 25-30 mins of waiting time from ordering to get food & between two people we shared a smoothie ($10), which i would skip as its just ice and berries seemingly, a three stack of buttermilk pancakes (these were regular but still good, def stick to the pastry like breakfast items) & an egg & turkey bacon farmer's breakfast plate. The salad in it was good and the food was fine but the avocado was like a 1/4 slice and everything felt mid for the cost of this particular dish. Somehow everything amounted to $52 for nothing special, but honestly it was the waiting that killed things for us ~2:30pm on a Sunday. It didn't seem that crowded, so we just felt like the food took way too long to receive. As well, the parking lot has changed (which is not society kitchens fault) and now they validate for one hour, which might be fine if food arrived sooner, but was kind of annoying since things were delayed. In future, I'll come back just for lattes (which I still love), and a small snack.

I've been here multiple times and the food is always good! I've seen service be very accommodating to went customers have questions or want something changed. I tried a few different coffees and matchas and they are all good, but I don't know if those are worth the price. However, every food item has totally been worth it! The outside seating is nice and covered by umbrellas, yet the music from next store sometimes clashes with the music they are playing. if you are sensitive to that type of noise, then sitting inside would be better

    My delicious choice today!

Met with a new and lovely friend I actually met at a Yelp Elite Event in Agoura Hills recently... Just another reason why I love the Yelp Elite events so much. I had a fruit, chia pudding and quinoa melange which was delicious and filling and priced fairly. She had a vegan burrito and a matcha concoction that looked almost neon colored. She loved it. The service was good. The people that were all having wonderful repasts around us were lovely and super friendly. Great outdoor vibes. It's in my old Santa monica neighborhood which I know so well so it's a very comfortable experience basically being home again! Great addition to Sunset Park on Ocean Park Blvd. Next time, and there will be a next time I'm definitely going for something a little more meaty! A lot of delicious meals there are definitely in my future! Sunday parking was easy peasy.

crispy french toast w/ added ricotta 5/5
    Caroline C.

Crispy French Toast 5/5 - genuinely might be the best french toast I've ever had, 100% recommend adding the whipped ricotta cheese!!! This place is definitely on the expensive side, but it's Santa Monica so what can you really expect. We went on a Saturday afternoon for brunch and it was crazy busy, so if you're a group I'd recommend coming early or making a reservation. There's a parking lot in the back and plenty of street parking.

This is a great spot with pretty and airy outdoor seating. I had the vegan breakfast burrito and a Pure Passion signature mocktail.. ingredients are clean and the oil in the fryer is olive instead of crap seed oils. I'll be back. Service is attentive and friendly

$5 for this!!! Burned bacon side. I had specifically asked for soft bacon. And never expected such a tiny amount for $5!
    Brian G.

First and last time ever! Never again. 3 stars is overly generous - but I give 2 stars for the lady in charge apologizing (I ate very little) and although she never offered a refund she did make me a second cafe latte (OK but small). The fruit on the side was excellent - but everything else that we were served was tasteless and virtually inedible. I do hate places like this where you have to pay and give an 18% tip before you are served. So we ended up paying $73.72 for dry nasty buttermilk pancakes, 2 rashers of burned bacon on the side (and some good fresh fruit on the side - see pic) and an apple, fig, cheese and bacon sandwich which was beyond disappointing. Never again. In terms of ambiance - being surrounded by dirty tables with dishes from previous customers, and piled up by the service desk - not conducive to enjoying the experience. Plenty of parking and outside seating available.

Breakfast Burrito with Side Avocado Smash and steak (door dashed) nearly $30, good but not worth $30
    Mark G.

On the hunt to find the best breakfast burrito for the money out on LA. Unfortunately I had to Door Dash mine because I had a small window of time and didn't want to leave LA without trying it, so I did take that into consideration when rating it. That said, the only thing wrong with it really was the temp inside was barely warm (again probably a door dash issue) and the burrito was busting out the bottom before I ever picked it up. Were the flavors and side salsas good? Yup! Actually reminds of a much larger Wake n Late breakfast burrito. My favorite thing about it was the actual tortilla. It was toasted and really chewy in a great way. The thing most wrong with it was the price really. $30 ... cmon. It's a great burrito really but the value for the price completely misses. Maybe I'll come back for a sit down experience and see what happens then.

    Cookie butter cinnamon roll

I think my expectations were a bit too high after the TikTok I saw about this place... But the cookie butter cinnamon roll (might have been a fall special?) was very good and had a unique flavor. I do wish I'd got the fig and apple grilled cheese instead of the lemon ricotta pancakes, because the pancakes were somewhat overdone without much lemon flavor. Still edible for sure but I think my expectations were too high as a pancake lover. My girlfriend got the eggs Benedict and unfortunately the egg was not at all poached.

Society Kitchen was a cute restaurant with a decent amount of parking and cute ambiance all throughout. The service was decent and the food was pretty good, specifically the french toast. I'm glad I got to try it!

Met with a friend for lunch. Cute spot with a parking lot. There's validation at the restaurant. Very cute patio seating with umbrellas for the sunny day.. friendly staff. I really enjoyed the French toast, nice and crispy grape flavor.. Chilaquiles were ok. And while the kale smoothie was good it was definitely overpriced at $10.

The staff were very lovely and the patio seating was perfect on a sunny day. The food was delicious! I had the chilequilles and French toast. Vibes were real chill.

We were just here yesterday and spent about $120 on 3 people. We decided to come back to try the $4 burrito special they're advertising. When we ordered two burritos and two drinks, our total came out to almost $50. That was the first issue. Make sure when you come here they aren't overcharging you. We asked for clarification on why the total was so high. Turns out, they were charging us full price for the burritos. When we asked why, the worker told us that the plate would come with TWO burritos. We asked if on plate was enough for two people, we were told yes. Mind you, we're two petit girls, not big men. We don't eat a crazy amount. We said okay and just paid for it. When our plate came, this is what we got... ONE small BURRITO cut it half. Completely different from what was advertised, what we were told, and ultimately they did us wrong. They should've just told us that the truth before letting us order and receiving a snack sized burrito for two people. Extremely disappointing considering we often come here and give this business our service. We were LITERALLY here YESTERDAY, and come here every few weeks and drop a pretty hefty amount. We've now been sitting here for almost 20 minutes since the staff said they would see what they could do about it. They haven't tried to mend things at all and it looks like they're just hoping we will leave and take the loss. We are still hungry... so upsetting. Such bad service today, super upset. Attached a photo, mind you, this is a tiny plate.

Hard to say this routinely about salmon and chicken - Pizza/flatbread: nothing super standout but crust was not dry, tasted mostly of cheese - Oven baked sweet potato: garnished with strawberries and cheese, blistered for a nice caramely flavor on top of the already nice sweetness - Pasta salad: nothing special but also nothing alarmingly bad - Sadly didn't get to try to tuna crispy rice - Desserts: an assortment of small eclairs, profiteroles, and brownies -- feel like this is where the food fell flat. Unfortunately, the food and service fell short of my expectations. The restaurant is on the pricier side, but given its desirable location and atmosphere, the pricing feels somewhat justified. Also, the restaurant business is tough to manage, especially with recent increases in rent, insurance, and supply costs. That said, based on my experience, the food is overrated compared with the praise it receives in many reviews. The Cloverfield Cheeseburger - 2/5. The menu suggests the burger is made with high-quality beef, and that may well be true. However, the patty itself tasted bland and lacked the richness and fat content needed to make it memorable. It also lacked a well-developed crust, which left the overall flavor underwhelming. The bun deteriorated after only a few bites and lacked the chewiness and structure of a good burger bun. The produce was equally disappointing. The tomatoes were pale pink, seemingly underripe, and lacked the deep, juicy sweetness that can elevate a burger. The lettuce was pale and lacked both the crisp texture and fresh flavor needed to complement the other ingredients. Overall, this burger was a letdown. The Scramble - 2/5. This breakfast plate comes with scrambled eggs, pan-fried potatoes, and toast. The potatoes tasted as though they had been sitting on the side of the griddle for some time - dry, overcooked, and lacking freshness. The scrambled eggs were similarly disappointing. They lacked the velvety texture and rich flavor that distinguish well-executed scrambled eggs from average ones. The dish was serviceable but far from memorable. Cloverfield Chili - 2.5/5. The description is promising, highlighting ingredients such as grass-fed beef and lime crema. In practice, however, the chili was merely okay. The flavor profile felt somewhat bland and one-dimensional, while the ground beef lacked the moisture and richness that make a hearty chili satisfying. More disappointing was the serving temperature - the chili arrived only slightly warm. A dish like this should be served piping hot to deliver the comforting, hearty experience diners expect. The Cloverfield excels in location and atmosphere, and I would happily return for drinks or to catch up with friends. However, the food did not live up to the expectations set by its reputation or pricing. While the setting is enjoyable, the overall dining experience left me underwhelmed.

Whether it's a sun-drenched breakfast, a power lunch, or a cozy neighborhood dinner, this place nails the vibe every single time. It manages to be sophisticated and "LA-cool" while still feeling like a warm, welcoming local haunt. Here is why Lunetta All Day is a consistent 5-star experience: The Best Breakfast in Town: The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes are legendary for a reason--fluffy, tangy, and not overly sweet. If you're a savory fan, the Short Rib Hash is rich, tender, and the ultimate comfort food to start your day. The "All Day" Versatility: I love that I can come here for a world-class latte and a pastry in the morning, or a glass of crisp rosé and a Chisaya Burger in the afternoon. The transition between a casual cafe and a refined bistro is seamless. Thoughtful Ingredients: Chef Raphael Lunetta clearly prioritizes seasonal, local ingredients. You can taste the freshness in the salads and the quality in the proteins. Even a simple side of crispy fingerling potatoes feels elevated here. Chic & Airy Atmosphere: The interior design is stunning--think mid-century modern meets coastal California. With the large windows and open feel, it's one of the best spots on Pico Blvd to soak in that Santa Monica light. Polished Service: The staff is incredibly professional. They are attentive without being intrusive, and they move with a pace that shows they respect your time, whether you're on a quick lunch break or a leisurely weekend brunch. Pro Tip: Their outdoor patio is dog-friendly! It's the perfect place to sit with your pup and people-watch while enjoying a Wood-Fired Pizza. Also, don't sleep on their bakery counter--the cookies are some of the best in the city. Lunetta All Day is the kind of place that makes you want to move into the neighborhood just so you can eat here every morning. A true Santa Monica staple!

You most likely will have to valet since street parking is rare. | F O O D | Appetizers: Crudite 5/10- Good variety, Market Lettuces 5/10- Basic Artichokes 5/10- Solid not a fan of the dipping sauce Entree: Prime Skirt Steak Frites 9/10- AMAZING! The koji seasoning gave the steak overwhelming flavor and the aioli was delicious with the fries Pickle Chick 4/10- My sister loves pickles and found it overwhelming Dessert: Rose Petal Pie 3/10- I knew I wouldn't like it, but had to try it. The textures were weird and honestly don't get why people love this. | O V E R A L L | I want to go back before they close to get the steak again. I don't know if I just missed the best items, but all the starters we got were just underwhelming. Let me know what to get next time as I loved the atmosphere and service was great!

It comes in the shape of corn and the butter is even molded in a corn shape too. The rice flour-battered mushrooms are a great shareable dish- it's fried extra crispy which I loved. The prime skirt steak frites was juicy and came with lots of fries on the side. The smoked kielbasa is a sausage with smokey flavor. For dessert we ordered the chocolate layer cake & mango rice pudding. The chocolate layer cake is a large, decadent, super moist slice and perfect for any chocolate lover! The mango rice pudding gives mango sticky rice vibes - fruity and light. Both dessert options were definitely the way to end the meal. Parking- valet $17

Parking: They have an adjacent paid parking lot though metered street parking is cheaper since they unfortunately don't validate. Ambiance: Really gorgeous inside, with high arced wooden beam ceilings, natural light through skylights, romantic dim lighting, candles, lots of potted trees for greenery, and velvet seating to add elegance. Even the plates are worth admiring. They have a nice patio with heat lamps for cooler evenings as well. I absolutely love the vibes for date night. I have eaten here four times now and have a reservation ready for my fifth. The menu changes EVERY WEEK and the fact that the ingredients are so seasonal, and the chef really seems to takes pride and passion in creating different dishes so often, keeps me coming back each time. They have done specials from Sunday Night $35 7-course omakase to 50% off Neighborhood Patio nights to $65 for two 4-course date nights and the quality is so worth it. I even came by for an art class hosted on the patio since they hold multiple community events, including sports watch parties. The best yellowtail I've had (including eating in Japan and various sushi spots in LA, OC, SF, and NY) was surprisingly here, at a place I was honestly hesitant to even order sushi from. It's the first time I actually really could taste the flavor as it's more subtle than tuna, salmon, or albacore but they somehow made it incredibly memorable from the freshness. Definitely order the hamachi with pomegranate. I loved the flavor with the ponzu and that it wasn't just the basic jalapeño combo. There was a Singaporean crab garlic butter noodle dish they made once that was incredible though sadly seemed to be on the menu that time only. This was my absolute favorite entree they've offered so far. The gem lettuces Caesar salad is amazing although unfortunately, both times I've ordered it without cheese, they forgot. The boquerones (anchovies) are a gem (ha) that really adds to the salad and I love the texture from the herb crust. Their signature shrimp toast has a good crunch from the sesame seeds and distinct pieces of shrimp rather than mush inside and the ikura on top adds another good layer of flavor. The vegetable curry was rich, flavorful, and savory witbout being too heavy with perfectly cooked potatoes that didn't just hide in the sauce in a way that actually didn't make me miss the meat. The short rib curry had such tender meat and the roti made in house was actually a major highlight for me as it was so flaky, hot, crispy and had an amazing garlic flavor. The chocolate pot de creme had a good orange zest flavor to add to the chocolate and wasn't too rich or heavy though the texture was thicker. The calamari had super crispy batter so didn't associate it as much with a lighter tempura one but the lemons in it and the roasted garlic marinara sauce it came with were so good and added a lot of depth. The butter curry prawns has SUCH well cooked shrimp - flavor was amazing. Miso salmon was good though crispy skin side up would have been better personally. I liked the olive oil flavor in the vinaigrette and the lemon with veggies on the side as well. The tres leches was surprisingly light for a cake and very moist so I enjoyed a lot and the caramel ice cream wasn't overly sweet. The lychee vodka drink is my favorite (came with a drink pairing they offered with Sunday omakase) and the imperial gold yuzu cocktail is better for those who like a stronger drink. The grilled asparagus was cooked to a tenderness with great flavor from the crispy onions on top that have somehow made it among my top favorite dishes here, despite it just being a small side vegetable dish but I didn't like asparagus until this! I would definitely recommend coming here for dinner over brunch personally, as those have been my most memorable bites. Definitely order the yellowtail sashimi, shrimp toast, gem lettuces Caesar salad! Hoping the garlic butter crab noodles, grilled asparagus with crispy onions, and housemade roti reappear on the dinner menu!
