Came here with my partner when it was pouring rain on 2/16/26. Arrived at around 10:15am or so, but it took 25-30min for our food to come out. I'm usually not one to comment on speed of service, but for the food we got after waiting for a while didn't seem worth it. Little Gordo sandwich - which was a really small, sad sandwich that didn't look special. Super basic, sad presentation. The cheese wasn't melted or anything either. Probably wouldn't recommend unless you're not hungry and want something basic! Chilaquiles - the presentation was good and it overall tasted pretty good! But I didn't get very full. If you're hungry, get something else! I was seeing other people's food and I should've gotten the Bluey's breakfast plate since it looked really good. Service - the 2 couples sitting next to either side of us didn't get their cup of coffee and tea for 15min and the other couple got their latte spilled on but the servers didn't do anything about it. Maybe they were short staffed that day? I'm not sure, but things didn't seem to be running quickly. Ambiance - the cafe itself is really cute! First time here, don't let the line out the door deter you, it moves very fast. I love that this place is Latina-owned and women-owned. The vibe is immaculate. We sat on the patio, they have seating in the back and front as well as inside. We got the chilaquiles which were delicious, you can tell they're homemade chips and sauce, next time I'll add a protein. The break burrito was solid, the salsa was delicious and spicy. The horchata latte was cool, a little too much almond milk to espresso ratio. Overall a great recommendation for brunch! read more

I wanted to come back and update my review. Turns out I've never been to this location. I went to the Blueys in SM. Also, I've moved on from the exploding runny egg incident . My most recent visit was a 10/10. There was a line out the door which made me a little nervous, but it moved quickly. The food was mid at best, I got the squash pancakes and if your looking texture and flavor you've come to the wrong place. It feels like you're biting into a paper towel and it tastes like one of those jelly beans that's meant to imitate squash. In addition I also got their seasonal lucky charms latte which was literally just a normal latte with a few lucky charms thrown in. Would not recommend either. So first time here me and my friend wanted to try it I heard so much about it and it's the least crowded so we ordered our food. Got our drinks and we got much. I got the hot Horchata Matcha. And my friend got a regular cold Matcha. My Matcha was really good, but my friends called Matcha was not good at all. The granola was a little bit much on top and whatever else that was, I think it was like a glazed of avocado or something Matcha so I kind of scraped all that off eighth of fruit, but the pancakes were so delicious my friend agreed then her food came and it was eggs some tomatoes. The bread was amazing she said, and then they had like a scoop of mushrooms that did not taste right some type of oil they taste overall a little disappointed, but nice vibe inside, but unfortunately, we won't be coming back, but it was very nice of them to offer us money back for my friends drink and I hope that they do refund. I will check later in my checking. I thought that was very kind of them. Overall service was great. Food was OK and the ambience I have to say was very nice. I finally had the chance to dine at Blueys in Mar Vista after passing by so many times, and I was excited to check it out with two friends on a Friday night! We were seated outside, which was pleasant, though the experience was slightly dampened by some patrons smoking near a nearby bar, definitely something to keep in mind if you're sensitive to that. The dinner menu wasn't overly extensive, but it had some solid options. I was between the steak and the pasta and ultimately ordered the Homie e Pepe, which was packed with flavor and a satisfying choice, though I believe it may have been replaced by another pasta dish on the current menu. One of my friends, who had previously enjoyed the Bidi Bidi Bahn Mi, opted for the Fish & Chips this time but found himself wishing he had gone with his usual favorite. On the other hand, my other friend ordered that sandwich and really enjoyed it! The overall ambiance was casual and inviting, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. While I had a great experience at dinner, I'm holding off on that coveted fifth star until I come back for brunch... They were tasty and made with healthy ingredients. The service was friendly and welcoming. They have a good-size outside seating area. It's pretty noisy due to the location. Atmosphere: cute. Food: tasty. Service: paaaaaainfully slow. Communication: lacking. Management: disengaged. I ordered loose-leaf tea--just hot water over tea leaves. Fifteen minutes went by. During that time, a table of four who ordered after me received their lattes. When I went up to ask whether my tea was coming, the barista rolled her eyes. When it finally arrived, it wasn't even steeped, so I waited another ten minutes for it to be drinkable. Nearly thirty minutes for tea. I ordered the chilaquiles. They were good, but took another thirty minutes to arrive and were lukewarm. Basically, a pile of tortilla chips and sauce with one single egg. One egg. In a $20 egg breakfast. I asked the manager if this was a mistake. She said no, barely making eye contact, as if the question itself were unreasonable. Here's the issue: if you serve chilaquiles with only one egg, that needs to be communicated when someone orders. Because it's reasonable to assume that an egg breakfast contains more than one egg. Give people a heads up with the option to decide whether they want to pay extra for a second egg. Better yet, just serve two. Other places I've ordered chilaquiles give you three. Meanwhile, the cheapest egg breakfast on the menu appears to come with three eggs. Go figure. If someone had taken responsibility for a reasonable assumption, apologized for not mentioning the single egg when I ordered, or tried to make it right right away with a new plate of what I actually wanted--or even seemed to slightly care--I'd be writing a very different review. Honestly, the management at McDonald's is better. If you go, don't show up too hungry, and don't make assumptions. Especially when it comes to service. Because here, it's all on you. read more

There is an indoor/outdoor seating space, but be warned it does get loud outside at times due to being near the street as well as being by a bar. But that didn't stop a great date night! The service is also quick and efficient and we got our food in no time at all! The food was also very very delicious and price point is outstanding! I live by Bluey's and haven't been until recently! I came here with a group of friends for dinner. I always knew they were a brunch spot but they recently opened for dinner. Walking into the restaurant, it felt like I was in a beautiful Tulum cafe. They don't take reservations, but it wasn't super busy at 6pm. It does start to fill up as the evening progresses. I ordered the salmon bowl, which was really good. It comes with pickled cabbage, marinated cucumbers and cashews. It was very healthy without being pretentiously so. I'd love to come back here and try some other dishes because they also looked great. read more

Ordered delivery from Bluey's Mar Vista for the first time today. I had their Whirley bowl (w/ salmon) and matcha latte (cold). The bowl was delicious! The salmon was cooked perfectly and the chimichurri cauliflower rice, pickled slaw cabbage, and pineapple salsa went so well together. It was so good, I felt compelled to write this review right after! It's so hard to find a healthy low-carb meal that isn't a salad. Edit: I've ordered the same meal for delivery 3 times since my review and it has remained consistently delicious. I really want to know the recipe for their avocado yogurt sauce, as well as their chimichurri cauliflower rice. As always, the salmon comes perfectly cooked. I've also ordered the matcha latte, the flat white, and their large latte and they have all been so so good. This place has definitely replaced another restaurant I used to frequent. Unfortunately, that place's quality went way way down, so I'm stoked to find Blueys! read more
