Eggs Benedict with Corned Beef Hash
    Debbie P.

A hidden gem! One of our favorite breakfast spots! Staff is welcoming and friendly in this quaint food establishment. Food is fresh and pleasing to the eye. Weather permitting, we enjoy sitting outside and watching the small jets and planes take off from Gabreski airport. Highly recommend making reservations.

Found this little hidden gem. Food was phenomenal. I had the breakfast taco trio. The "taco shell" is like an egg crepe. All three were awesome. My wife had the Benedict, i tried some of hers. She subbed the Canadian bacon for regular crispy bacon. It was perfect. The kids had French toast and pancakes. All plates came garnished with some fresh fruit and purple violets. We will definitely be back often. Looking forward to trying lunch options!

Bon G and I have been wanting to visit Cafe Volo for at least a year but have been deterred by things like car accident on the way to restaurant! Finally got the chance last week and we made the trek to Gabreski Airport to visit the venue. Located at the airport office at the base of control tower, you have to enter the building and look to your left for the hall leading to the restaurant. Upon entering you see large windows facing the runway and about 10 tables and counter space with stools. We chose a table by the window and were welcomed by Kaia, a very friendly server who took our order. We were there for brunch and ordered accordingly. I got the unlimited coffee and Bon got unsweetened ice tea...both good and refillable. for mains Bon got the Western Omelette, fluffy and filled with goodies. I got the SOS..like eggs benny but instead of hollandaise its smothered with an incredibly delish Sausage Gravy! Gravy was so good ordered grits covered in the gravy and Ectasy.... Their highpoint is breakfast/brunch...All delish. We ventured back the next day with friends for the lunch menu and were not as enthusiastic as we were for brunch. Hamburgers, although thick were not to our liking...combo of brisket and beef the taste did not cut it for us. Also Rice Pudding for dessert was watery and overloaded with cinnamon. We will def be returning for brunch and the sausage gravy in the near future...def worth the visit you must try it!!!

Who would've thought that there was a restaurant/ diner located at a private airport which is called the Francis Gabreski Airport. It was a little hard to find, especially since it is inside the same building as Hertz and Enterprise, which are rental car places. Just looking at the place, it looks very inconspicuous. Once you walk inside, the walls are all wooden slabs, and the decor of the place isn't something you would want at home. However, the food is pretty good, and my expectations were not great as I was basing it on the location. We went with a large group of people and didn't make any reservations. It was alright. Everyone ordered different things, and no one complained. I believe the portion size was really good. I did get the steak sandwich, which comes with either fries or coleslaw and pickles. Tried the New England clam chowder soup in a cup. I did get to nibble on a piece of pierogie, which tasted so good, especially with the onions. All in all, I was satisfied with the meal and service.

Welcome to Westhampton's best kept secret! This place has changed names over the years. I remember when it was a tiny little greasy spoon coffee shop that had the best fries ever! Phil and Trish have turned this into a treat for your tastebuds! Staff is friendly and attentive. They serve breakfast and lunch all day. Pay attention! They close at 3 PM so you don't want to miss it. The Eggs Benedict was perfect and I'm sure Phil will never share his secret for the hollandaise sauce, which is not heavy like it is at other places. The edible Pretty Flower on every plate are so pretty! Such a great surprise! The hash was given a very high rating by my son, who is as picky as ever. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu! I must admit, I was eyeing the fries on the plate of the person at the table next to us.

Based on my last review, i came back and they had a special menu item....California egg Benedict which had mashed avocado! I hope they make this a regular item.

So if you follow the directions and keep getting closer to the airport's control tower and security fence...don't worry......you're in the right place! Located in an "old" administration building, this is the definition of a "hidden gem." Antique decor lends to the old aviation theme. Bar seating and outdoor seating available. Outdoor seating may come with some Jet noises since it is near the runway (active airport). The food portions are a good size and presentation (flowers, etc) have that "I care" feel to it. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating.

    Pirogie

Best pirogies are found here. Gently pan fried with a soft potato center smothered in a bacony onion concoction that was so delicious. The "stacked" reuben sandwich with tender corned beef, sauerkraut, melted Swiss and creamy dressing was piled high on thick toasted slices of marbled bread. Our least favorite, although very good was the short rib and cheddar panini served with gravy on the side. Their French fries were crispy and delicious. Our server Kailee was super friendly and attentive. We sat by a window and watch a couple planes go by. Looking forward to going for breakfast!! I wish I had remembered to take pictures of the sandwiches.

    Enchilada style omelette
    Rob P.

Nice little spot for breakfast or lunch. 3 stars might be a little low but I just couldn't justify 4 stars... but it's close. I guess the singular reason is the dish I ordered was an enchilada style mini omelette but it more resembled mini egg tacos. To really call it any kind of enchilada ii needs to have tortillas, sauce & covered with cheese. It wasn't bad just not what I expected. My friend said the same about her biscuits & gravy, good put different. I'd go back but a bit of advice, ask the server to carefully explain the dish.

Harvest Omelette with sausage & Short Rib Panini
    Nayun K.

Had brunch around 11:30 which is when they start serving lunch also. We had Harvest Omelette and Short Rib Panini. I asked if I could add sausage to the Harvest Omelette which is filled with veggies, and it was very good! It comes with some home fries and fruits. Short Rib Panini comes with gravy and fries. For the panini, you can also get coleslaw instead of fries. The fries are SO GOOD!! Better than any other fries I had. Very crispy :) The price was also reasonable.

Had brunch with my brother here a few months ago. It happened to show up in my photo memories. Food was delicious! Service was great, very friendly and polite. Ambiance was terrific; nice to enjoy your meal with a view . We will be back soon

Not too sweet, not too sour, perfectly made. The price tag hurt but hey, it's the Hamptons. Our bartender was friendly and accommodating, we had a nice chat with her about an old school cocktail called an aviation. I came in for happy hour during the week and ordered a bunch of the appetizers that were on special. The focaccia bread with whipped ricotta and honey was outstanding. The bread tastes freshly made and was so fluffy. The baked clams were hearty and delicious, served on a bed of Himalayan sea salt which made the dish feel elevated. The pizza we ordered had an extremely thin crust that was perfectly crunchy and had just the right amount of sauce and cheese on it. Trivia was about to start after happy hour which I wish I had time to stick around for -- it looked like the teams that were forming were some stiff competition. TL;DR - Don't let the fancy atmosphere put you off from trying this place, especially during happy hour!

Our server brought out this delicious focaccia bread with a side of whipped ricotta and honey. The bread was seasoned with herbs and super soft and pillowy. If you do want extra serving of bread you do get charged for it. For drinks they have cocktails, beer and spritzes. We were there just after St. Patrick's Day so they had some drinks and food off the special holiday menu. I got the Captain's punch which was very balanced and fruity. Everything on the menu sounded great it was hard to decide what to get. The host and server both recommended their stone baked pizzas since they said the restaurant was known for it. We decided to grab it as an appetizer. We ordered the basic Neapolitano pizza since my husband isn't super adventurous in taste. It was light, very flavorful and just enough crispness. We ended up saving a couple of slices to take home. For entrees I got the olive oil poached halibut and my husband got the short rib special. We both loved our dishes. It was just the right amount for entrees. The halibut was super flakey, light and flavorful. I liked the earthiness the veggies brought to the dish paired with the delicate halibut. The short ribs were also very good according to my husband. He said that it was super tender and was really good with his mashed potatoes. We also got dessert of their doughnuts that came paired with a sweet caramel sauce and fresh raspberry sauce. The doughnuts were nice and warm, light and airy. It paired well with the sauces. We were so stuffed that we took the rest home as well. I would definitely recommend booking a reservation with them since the restaurant can get packed pretty quickly especially if there are special events going on in the facility. We were lucky that we went when they opened so we got a table right away without reservation. Maybe an hour later there were definitely patrons waiting. Everyone was great from the host to our server. The bathrooms in the inn was also very clean. Thanks for the great meal and hospitality. We would be returning again in the future.

We only saw the waitress one time. After waiting 15 minutes, she arrived to take our order and we NEVER saw her again. The potato purée with truffle cream and leeks, which we requested to arrive first hadn't arrived after what seemed like 15 to 20 minutes so we got up from the table and apparently they made a mistake and it should've been brought to the table and when it did, it was cold or barely warm. We tried to find someone to get us to help us, but after five minutes gave up and decided to eat it. You couldn't taste any truffle and we ate it just because we were hungry, but it was extremely disappointing. There were hardly any leaks on it and they were overcooked. Next, there was confusion over our entrée which we were splitting and we wanted to come out and we again had to try to track someone down to explain to please send out the entrée. When it arrived, the fish had been pounded down thin and was covered in breading and so much oil that it was completely disgusting and inedible. Instead of a beautiful piece of juicy flounder, we got a dry, oily thin piece, which was mostly breading and really disgusting. It had no flavor. Green beans which they put a fancy name on to make it sound special while they were overcooked and tasteless and the sweet potatoes were watered down. The rum banana was overcooked and would have been better suited as a dessert. We then had to get up from the table again because we never found our waitress so we had to go to the hostess so we can retrieve our bill and left a very undeserving 15% tip. We managed to find someone else to bring us some containers to take on the food that we hadn't eaten and in the end, I don't know why we bothered because it went in the garbage. If you want terrible service and terrible food, then head on over to Fauna . If you want good service and good food walk a few feet and there you have Flora. Flora is a small intimate restaurant that is decorated beautifully had amazing service and cooks their food perfectly. They treat each customer as if they are their most special customer. We felt welcomed there and we felt like they went above and beyond to make us happy. It was such a different experience going to that. We are shocked the same owners owned both restaurants. Maybe they should try switching managers so Fauna can learn how to run things more like Flora. I have a feeling that Fauna makes most of their money on alcohol because you certainly don't wanna go there for the food or ambience. It's noisy and obnoxious. If you want a peaceful restaurant, that's beautiful and knows what their theme is then go on over to Flora. Fauna has lamps with deer, antlers and wood that is dark and uninviting and strange wallpaper with different animals on it in the bathroom and terrible smelling soap. Their menu is confusing as with their music, which was a mix of salsa and a type of music you would expect in a Mexican restaurant. You really missed the mark Fauna.
