eh...was never a huge fan. I like the healthy approach but the food wasn't great.

Every time I visit my family in Eugene, I make it a point to eat at Cafe Yumm at least twice. I've started to up my order size each visit because I can't get enough of their bowls. That yumm sauce is to die for, I've started buying it bringing it back with me to California, trying to recreate that delicious yumm bowl. If you ever see a Cafe Yumm, stop by and try their classic yumm bowl. I like them so much I've been thinking about franchising my own store! read more

I have had problems eating here. They tell me they are not a gf restraunt. I have gotten food poison there.

The food was ok, but the customer service I received was pretty poor. It was the first time I had ever gone in, and I took my mom along. She asked about the soup options and the guy at the counter just rudely commented that here was a soup menu on the counter. When he brought us our food a few minutes later he didn't say a word. How can something that seems so simple and plain be extraordinarily good? I got a small original bowl that was loaded with brown rice, black beans, avocados, and salsa. I also had a side of tofu skewer with it. I was pleasantly surprised how it tasted absolutely delicious and marvelously satisfying. And here's the best part...it was actually "healthy." read more

The food and prices are decent for buying healthy fast food, but my husband said the portion sizes were small for the price. Tortilla chips came with our sandwiches, but no salsa? I got one chicken skewer for $4 for my toddler and didn't come with rice? Kinda put me off. read more

The bowls are awesome and with three sizes they can be a light meal or super filling! They are full of super healthy things and the sauce is super good. I very much appreciate a healthy "fast" food like this! The meal combo came with a tasty local beer, too. Great idea! read more

Every time I have food here , I fall ill the very next day . I had 'hot n jazzy' twice , next day I woke up with sore throat and fever ... Food tastes okay, quantity is too less for the price they are charging. I would prefer Mucho Gusto over this one ... read more

Stopped here for lunch today on the way to Portland. Grabbed a quick bite. I ordered a small jazzy bowl: substituting the salsa with tomatoes. We went to the Oakway Cafe Yumm. It was nice to sit outside on the patio and watch the karate demonstration. We have eaten here several times over the years. This time it was frustrating. When the guy behind the counter brought my food out, he got mixed up with the order bringing me salsa and tomatoes with no sour cream. I explained I did not want salsa, but that I did want sour cream. He then took the bowl back and came out with tomatoes and no sour cream. I had to send him back again. The third try he got it right. It was frustrating because everyone else in my family got the right lunch and I was sitting and waiting for my food. I didn't want my family to eat cold food, so they started eating and I kept waiting. Eventually after three tries the guy got it right and I was able to enjoy my lunch. It was a little squishy in the tiny bowl and I spilled a lot of my olives and tomatoes on the table. It was hard to mix the bowl up. The veggies were fresh, the rice and beans were hot. It was ultimately delicious. My husband ordered a Rueben sandwich and it came out hot and fresh. He enjoyed it. I will absolutely be back, I just hope the guy behind the counter pays better attention in the future. read more

I'm usually not one to leave reviews, but I had to after my last couple of experiences. A few weeks ago I went to this location to get my usual to go order. I had called it in ahead of time and they said it would be about 10 minutes. I showed up 10 mins later, and I waited an extra 10 minutes for my food. There were 3-4 people up front talking while only one person in the back preparing the bowls. I get some people might not have authority to prepare food, but you should be doing something else with your time instead of just standing there and talking. A lady next to me had been waiting even longer for her to go order that she had to ask where it was when an employee walked by. I watched them place a done to go order at the front, but I was thinking it was someone else's so I didn't say anything. After about 5 mins of it just sitting there the employees who were still just standing there and talking realized it was my order and gave it to me. I felt bad for the lady next to me who was waiting even longer than I was, and I still got my food first. I left pretty upset, but brushed it off thinking it was just one bad experience. But then I ended up going there again this last week. I tried calling in my to go order but I was placed on hold for a while to a point where I just hung up since I was almost there anyways. I didn't have bad customer service, but I got home and realized my order was incorrect. They forgot the avocado and my large bowl was not filled up. It was definitely not worth the tip, or the $11 I spent on the bowl. I love CafeYumm so much. I think it's great food, and it doesn't make me feel icky. After my experiences I have learned to make my own Yumm bowls at home. I do believe they need to do some sort of extra training with their employees otherwise they're going to start losing some of their customers. read more

Lots of people seem to like this place, but I'm not sure why. Basically fast food in a bowl. Rice and some meat or other toppings, sauce made out of tofu and mustard. My spicy bowl wasn't spicy at all, and the chicken was dried out to almost leather texture. If you like this place, enjoy. read more

Food here is pretty good. I am not a fan of the so called Yumm sauce. I do however like the Nori Wrap. They do need to give you more pieces of Nori with this dish. I will admit that when I do eat here I am usually hungry again rather quickly. read more

Good concept, but execution falls short. Ingredients were bland, especially the chicken which appeared to be reheated frozen chicken with fake grill marks. Glad they had tapatio to add a little flavor to the bland bowl. read more

Sometimes they get the order right, sometimes they don't but they always correct it. Sometimes the food comes out quickly and other times it takes forever to get your food even if there's hardly anyone there. Sometimes there's more in your bowl than expected and less in your bowl other times. It's always gamble what you get when you show up but I always like it. read more

Wide variety of choices. My favorite is the Tempeh Reuben. Had if two days in a row!! Got some Heart of Artichoke Bisque today which was quite good as well. The atmosphere feels a little like a chain restaurant (it's a franchise). But the people and the menu would make me come back for sure the next time I'm in Eugene. read more

I like it ok, but it is a bit bland. Better than taco bell not as good as Noodles or Chipotle. There's so many good places to eat in town, Laughing Planet for one, that I will probably only go back for convince. The staff has always be kind and likable the atmosphere is similar to other mid level fast food resturaunts. Pretty average. read more

Service is terrible, I have the time to write this review while I'm waiting in line because they don't have a separate line for a phone in order. I'm watching 10 people in front of me order while my food is sitting and getting cold. Usually this location does not give us much food in your bowl of the other locations either. From what I understand each of these are franchised and independently owned. Do yourself a favor and go to one of the many other locations in the Eugene area if you want better service and a dedicated line for phone order pickup. Note to Nina the manager, I only stopped here this time because it was convenient location wise, next time I will go out of my way to go to the location on Delta or the one on campus to avoid this poor service. Love this place. It's my go to lunch spot, since I work upstairs. The prices are good for the quality of food you get, and there's a ton of variety. If you ever need an indulgence the cookies are a good start. And you can't really go wrong with a classic bowl. Great veggie, vegan, and carnivore options. I tried the southwest wrap today, and it was completely tasteless. The tortilla was so hard and chewy it was inedible. A waste of $7.75.
