Stopped to grab a quick bite for lunch. We ordered at the kiosk inside which was convenient to see what the dishes looked like and for customizing toppings. The lighting inside was a bit dark, but there were plenty of tables and seemed clean. Our order took a while to prepare. It seemed like they had a lot of mobile orders. We ended up waiting around 15-20 minutes for 3 bowls, and they did end up forgetting our hot sauces. We could have added them to our bowls ourselves since they have a station with hot sauce bottles, but we didn't notice until we were in the car. The bowls themselves were simple, had fresh ingredients, and was filling. This place seems like a slightly less sodium-heavy alternative to Chipotle for around the same price. read more

Yumm seems to be fairly well organized for my first time in. The menu board is pretty straightforward, pick your bowl size, style of ingredients, any add ons or omissions, done. I like that this is a healthy fast option. It's definitely a whole food, you can recognize and name every ingredient. With all the synthetic and petroleum based additives going into food these days, it's good to have safe and healthy options. My favorite part is the Yumm sauce. This stuff is so delicious it should be classified as a narcotic. I doubled checked the barcode using my Yuka app and sure enough, it rates clean of additives. All this stuff is natural actual food, and they made it taste good! Imagine, healthy food that actually tastes good, especially the vegan version without any meat added. Walking in, the store feels very clean and comfortable. At first I noticed the array of do-it-yourself kiosks. I prefer to deal with humans, so I walk directly to the counter and happily enough, there is a smiling face asking if she can help me. I look up and there it is all laid out on the menu board. In no time I had it figured, ordered and paid for with the warm human interaction as opposed to the cold flat screen. This store is well lit with plenty of natural light coming through the large windows. This yumm sauce is amazing in its flavor. I think I have a new addiction for a while. read more

I love Cafe Yumm and I've been to this location three times now. Staff are friendly and always greet with a smile. I have only tried Spicy Teriyaki and Edamame so far, but both have been great! I have been shopping here and mostly this location many years.. probably since the opened. I have always had a great experience and love the food! Recently I felt compelled to write a review because I had an amazing experience with one of the people there, named Andy I believe. I have many allergies and they were very helpful and let me know how cautious they are with allergies of food sensitivities if you mention it. Café Yumm! has been one of my staples since they originally opened years ago. While it doesn't impress me enough to get a 5 star rating, I do think it is above its current average of 3.5 stars. The cafe is able to blend healthy and quick and that is hard to do in a lot of circumstances. I do think their pricing is above what someone might expect for what you get. It's in a good, central location, but these cafes have become very commercialized at the same time. The food itself is tasty and light and filling for a lunch meal. read more

Well I had the kids chicken teriyaki meal with rice. I will say with a dish as simple as that I was a bit disappointed. Store bought heat up and serve sauce is never a good idea. With so little opportunity to astound me and the presence of a shortcut on such a simple dish killed my expectations for the rest of the food. It seems like they were attempting to do hispanic/thai fusion but weren't fully committed to the idea. Service was quick and to the point for a plus. Quiet area and pretty clean. I have not had their food in a really long while. My guy is not a fan for some reason, so I never really get a chance to stop in while with him. So the other evening, I was on my own for dinner I was about to go next door for an "unwich", and decided to look over the menu that was hung outside of the door. The southwest salad caught my eye, so JJ's was out of the equation. I was greeted with super friendly service, and the wait was not long at all. I also really like that the menu's are really easy to read, and navigate. Makes it easy for someone who can be indecisive at times get it figured out right away. The salad was really good, it is something I would get again, and I really think my guy would order if he would just give them another chance. While searching for a healthy lunch option in Springfield, I came across Café Yumm. They offer a nice variety of bowls & bentos and have managed to source at least 50% organic ingredients. I opted for the Tofu YUMM bento box, which included an organic tofu skewer (baked and glazed with barbecue sauce), long grain jasmine rice, creamy Ginger Asian Cole Slaw and Yumm Sauce on the side. The tofu had a mild BBQ flavor with a slightly chewy texture...dipping in the sauce improved it. While the dining room was still covid- closed, there were a few small tables available outside. I did go back in to get a refill on my drink, but instead of just taking a second to accommodate, I was instructed to go back outside, circle around the building to the front door and get back in line behind customers trying to decide on what to order. Not cool. Apparently the employees have been dipping into the Bumm'r sauce. read more

Love coming here for a quick easy lunch. Sat outside, Isn't the best ambiance since it's a busy parking lot but it's okay if you have good company to visit with. I get the original yumm bowl and change it to the vegan with extra avo (that takes out the sour cream and cheese) and then I add chicken. It's for dieting reasons. However I wouldn't recommend the chicken, it takes microwaves out of a bag and is not good. I love all the other flavors. A plus the restaurant was clean and the bathroom was as well. read more

Pretty much the same concept as *Nando's* . You pick what you wanna eat and drink from a display menu(quite straightforward) ,pay at the counter, grab your table number,water and cutlery to head towards seating area. Option to choose a booth or the tall side tables. I would say the food is more or less like Chipotle but had a twist of it's own. Loved all that we ordered. My aunt always talks about this place and it was very true. Fresh salad and soup makes ur quick lunch bite a healthy and filling. Rice bowls come in 3 different sizes. You can take out or early there. Good collection of drinks but no alcohol except a beer . Clean space with hygienic washrooms. Since it's in a Plaza so there is parking around. Food is always good. Was eating lunch a few weeks ago and was appalled at how the manager was speaking to people picking up online orders, bossing them to show their phones. I couldn't hear every word but she would raise her voice as soon as they walked in to ask for the order. It made us very uncomfortable. We probably won't be dining there again. I love the food, but I hate the service at the Gateway location. The menu has changed many times and I always have to take extra time to get what I want. I especially like a salad dressing they offer on the Avo Crunch salad, and that's been omitted on several of my orders. I stubbornly keep returning in the hopes that they get my order right, but if they haven't messed up my order, then they've messed up my guests order. I was told once when I ordered on the phone that my order shouldn't have been taken because it somehow wasn't fair to the customers inside the restaurant. WHAT? I tried the original without olives, plus one of their soups, and it was fantastic! The original bowl has all the things that I love: rice, black beans, salsa, cheese, avocado, sour cream, and cilantro. They also have black olives and diced tomatoes in the original bowl, which I ask them to please leave off, because I hate black olives. And I am mixed on diced tomatoes, but I love salsa. Did I mention that their Yumm sauce is well, yummy? And their soups are amazing as well! If you are a beans and rice person, this restaurant should be in your top 10 list. read more

In the area, hopeful for a somewhat healthy meal, we popped in. A very friendly gal took our order, we got our drinks and sat down with a number. She was kind enough to come over to us and let Son know the rye bread for his Tempeh Reuben wasn't vegan, and asked if he would like sourdough instead. He really appreciated that! Soon our food arrived, looking very good. Son enjoyed his side salad, and I got a taste of his Tempeh Reuben and it was rich and delicious. I got the Chicken Yumm! Bento with both dipping sauces. Loved that they let me try half of each the Yumm and the Teriyaki and that brown rice was an option. The chicken skewer was thigh meat (which I like). While I liked the Yumm sauce, I don't know that it went exactly with this dish, but it was great to try it. Rice was perfectly cooked. The cabbage was okay, but over-dressed imho. Actually thought this spot was vegetarian for some reason. Upon looking at their menu, realized I had been mistaken in making that assumption. Had the Spicy Jazzy Bowl wrap and it was delicious.
