Wow... good food, and extremely helpful and friendly owners and staff. I was in Springfield looking at a kitten to adopt, and after I left there... I was hungry. I had seen some reviews on another site for Shalosh, and had to try it. Not disappointed... very happy I went. The smoked pulled Lamb plate I had was very good. The hummus was some of the best I have ever had. Rice was good, salad was good, and the lamb was tender and smoky. I was also given a hot pita (I asked if they made them in house, and no... they have them specially made by another business)... and it was good, although it was the type of pita that can be tough and chewy after it cools off. But still tasty. When I am in the area, Public House / Shalosh will definitely be an option for some good food. read more

I decided to try Shalosh on on my dinner break and was pleasantly surprised by the quick service and friendly service provided by Corey. The fresh ingredients and the tasty food made me definitely want to come back since I only work a block away. I loved the dish I ordered. The hummus was silky smooth and had a great taste. The crisp dill pickle spear, pickled cabbage, sweet picked sumac onions, Schug (herbs, lemon, garlic sauce), and tehina (tahini) all lend to a bomb of tasty goodness. My son was graduating this past week from U of O. We decided to order Shalosh for a party of 10. Corey the owner was easy to deal with. We ordered a bunch of combo plates and his team boxed up so dinner was easy. I loved the schug, hummus and Chicken Shawarma. My family said pulled lamb was really tasty and unique. The salad, pita, rice and pickled vegetables finished off every dish perfectly. If you're looking for great food this is a must visit. read more

This is the best food in Eugene/Springfield right now. Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. We had the chicken skewer plate and the Labneh for a side. The hummus is light and smooth. The labneh was refreshing and had great spices added on top. The chicken was spicy, not hot, best zesty and robust with za'atar and some other flavors. The whole meal had a homemade feeling that reminded me of my grandmother's table. We are not middle eastern, but the food was prepared with emotion and joy the way my Nanna used to do it. The food was good, but the prices were high, and the service was absolute trash. When I first came up to the counter, the cook and the other worker were friendly. While I made my order, the cook looked past me and said, "damn!' I looked back to see that an attractive woman had walked in. His female coworker looked disgusted, and finished taking my order. I made it very clear that my order was to-go - twice. 1 ordered a chicken wrap, a falafal wrap, 2 chicken kebab plates, 1 order of fries, and somw pickles, which came to $78. I asked how long it should take, and the cook said about 10 minutes, then gave me an order buzzer. I ordered a beer from the adjoining tap-house, and drank it slowly while I waited, keeping an eye on the order counter for my food. I took time finishing my beer, and by the time I drank the last of it, it had been about 20 minutes. My order buzzer still hadn't gone off, so I went to check on it. The food was nearly ready, but they had prepared it for dine-in. Apparently they just forgot l, or never wrote down, that it was to-go. I asked them to please make it to-go, and the cook started scraping the food unceremoniously into to-go boxes, while telling me I never said it was to-go. I reminded him that I had mentioned it twice, and he said, "We've been busy." I had been watching the restaurant as I drank my beer, and they had only had 1 other order in that time. I scoffed at his statement, and said, "Not really." He looked at me incredulously, and shoved my food angrily into a bag. I asked if they had to-go forks, and he said they did not. I said I was disappointed in their service, and he said, "Then don't come here next time." I said I wouldn't, then walked out. I assure you, I will NOT be going back there, and I encourage others to avoid this unprofessional place as well. read more

We've been looking for the perfect wrap in Eugene and we may have just found it as Shalosh! We grabbed a lamb kofta wrap here after walking around the Eugene Saturday market. My partner and I were looking for a little snack after picking up veggies at the market that morning. Our only mistake was getting just one wrap, we we're fighting over the last bites. Went to Public House last night and tried Shalosh for the first time. Wow, just terrific. Seriously delicious food, prepared beautifully. Had the chicken shishlik plate - complete with turmeric basmati rice, hummus, salad (not your usual salad, but a wonderful combination of pickled cabbage, onions, carrots+), and some very excellent flatbread. You can tell everything is done with care. Made by the same person who opened Membrillo in Eugene (sadly closed). Both my husband and I will be ordering from there (have to try the falafel and the lamb!) when we go back to Public House. He tasted mine, and was impressed as well. :) Only open on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays. Very strongly recommended! read more

I had a favorite shawarma place in San Francisco that I have been missing, and I just found the closest thing yet in Springfield, and with more vegetables and fruit! The kebab was the most tender kebab I've ever had. Incredible attention to detail on the harissa honey dessert. One of my all time favorite desserts ever. I only got a main and side to split with someone, plus the dessert, and I had a hard time eating it all. To me, the hallmark of good food is that you don't need a lot of it to feel like you had a good meal. So glad to see this type of food in Eugene finally.
