Worth driving out of the way for! Stopped in for a coffee and also enjoyed a fresh apricot croissant. Both were delicious. The place has a friendly and welcoming vibe. Would have been happy to stay and visit as many other patrons were doing, but we had to get to a hockey tournament. We will definitely be back for a nice coffee and baked treat and maybe lunch while we're in town. read more

I've become a coffee snob, no doubt about it. We're from out of town and looked this place up on Yelp. Reviews were great and looked promising. Liked the opportunity to support an authentic Italian business. We got a double espresso and double cappuccino for the drive back to Michigan and were pleasantly pleased. Great deli sandwiches. Currently offering a Limoncello Tiramisu for dessert that's a must-have. Homemade and too good to pass up! Caffé Pronto has an excellent selection of coffees and other Italian desserts/treats all around the shop as well. They ground and bag their own coffee beans too. Phenomenal service! read more

I am soo glad I found this really cute coffee/sandwich shop. The woman who took care of me (owner's daughter) was very personable and outgoing...and gave me a few descriptions of the items they sell. EXCELLENT FRIENDLY CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had just come from buying something from Panera Bread early in the morning a few miles south of this place and I hate their coffee ( I am new to the area and I try to stay away from chain stores for my coffee - I much rather prefer giving my business to small businesses) so when I was driving on Cumberland and saw Caffe Pronto, I immediately..decided to drop in. Although it is set up more like a mini sports bar, it is still a very welcoming place. I only ordered coffee but I will surely be back to try more of their items as it seems to be a very popular hang out spot. I've been seeing this Caffe for a while and finally ventured in. It was a little like the Star Wars Cantina scene as all the elderly, neighborhood soccer fans turned in unison to see who entered was a little unsettling. But, I was so glad I continued to the counter. The Coffeetress behind the counter was very friendly and made a terrific latte. Just the right amount of sugar and sprinkled chocolate. I went looking for some Italian coffee and I found a gem. Service was quick and the lady behind the counter was very knowledgeable and friendly. I ordered the cappuccino and it was very rich. Too often, I find that people like to overuse milk and make it more like a latte. Not in this case. The atmosphere was clean and nicely decorated. I will definitely return for more. read more

Great coffee and great service! I stopped by for lunch before going to Ohare. The manager let me store my luggage in the back. The staff is very personable, and they enjoy chatting with the customers. Likewise, the clientele are also very friendly. Best Americano I've ever had! I can't stand acrid coffee, so it's hard to find a blend that I like. Pronto's coffee is perfect - super dark and smooth! The coffee prices are all the same ($3) - and, for the superb quality, very reasonable. The milieu is akin to that of a sports bar and draws an inordinately high percentage of men, who enjoy watching soccer on the big screen. Last but not least, Joanna and her colleague were very hospitable and offered fantastic customer service. If I lived in the area, I would stop by every day. read more

This is my second Yelp review and I'm writing because of the outstanding service here. I stopped in for a quick sandwich on the way to a job. A very nice, sweet young man made me a delicious grilled chicken sandwich. Later he told me that he usually puts mayo on the sandwich but he saw me select the salt and vinegar chips, so he put oil and vinegar on the sandwich. How nice is that? I'm impressed! read more

This little cafe is truly an authentic Italian cafe complete with sandwiches that are made while you wait, wonderful coffee and soft drinks and a wide range of Italian desserts.
