I just finished mine and I'm sitting outside contemplating if I'm going to go back in and get another one lmao! It was so delicious. Very authentic, super refreshing and sweet. The service was great, all the girls greeted me and gave me the best vibes! Perfect snack for the summer days

While the gelato is very good, the reason we (and everyone else who came in after us) were there was for the coffee. We were told that their machine is broken and there's no plan to get a new one. So sad! Everyone that came in asked for the coffee and most of them left without buying anything. I'm sure they're losing a ton of business over this and I feel bad for the girl behind the counter who has to tell everyone no. Hopefully one day they'll replace that machine and I can update my review to a better one.

The gelato is delicious but the outside seating area is absolutely horrendous. There is food trash on the ground, and it overall looks like a condemned beach town after a hurricane blew through. Why would they let it look like this out here?

This is such a cute spot to get gelato in Atlanta on a nice day! There is a little outdoor seating area beside it.

I am only reviewing this place for its coffee and haven't tried any of their sweets or gelatos. It's a cute coffee shop in a great location at Avalon. I got one esprresso and one cappuccino, and it was cheaper than Starbucks, but had a waaaay better quality.

Unlike its pizza counterpart, this cafe isn't great. I found a white hair/thin strand of plastic in my pistachio gelato, the worker also used a dirty spoon to scoop the pistachio so my gelato was mixed with chocolate. The inside is small, looks unkempt and unwelcoming because the lights aren't turned on. It's a shame because the outside of the shop is cute, and the mango and raspberry gelato tasted great the last time I came here but the service doesn't make me want to come back and neither does the price because one small scoop of gelato is already ~$6 which is so overpriced and I can get something better elsewhere.

Wow this is a great hole in the wall, seems like a local staple in the gelato scene. Malachi made my first time here such a great experience!!! We got the pistachio gelato. And we tasted the mint chocolate chip flavor. We got to see how the cannolis were filled and they were made fresh to order! Yum!

Some of the best gelato in Atlanta! The pistachio is a must try and the cookies and cream is divine.

I managed to wobble over to Caffe Antico after stuffing my face across the street with pizza. The first thing you notice when you come in is "NO SAMPLES." Oh gosh. How am I going to make a choice without trying it first? Well, I took a leap of faith, and ordered the strachiatella and the wild cherry armena. The strachiatella was good. It had an almost gritty texture to it, which was kind of odd. The wild cherry aramena was fantastic. Bright cherry flavor. Creamy texture. Not too overpoweringly sweet. It was definitely my favorite of the two.

This place is located right across the street from Antico's pizza so we walked around the area after we had our pizza meal. When we got here, there was a lot of flavors to choose from. Of course, since it's ice cream, you get to sample some of the flavors before actually committing to the purchase of the product. There was one that i saw, it said biscotti. So I typically like biscotti's too so I ordered it. It was actually just cookies and cream. hahaha. The ice cream here wasnt bad, but it wasnt the best Ice cream I had either.

After you snag some phenomenal pizza at Antico, walk across the street to Caffe Antico to grab some dessert! Their gelato is delicious. It is a bit more like ice cream than classic gelato, but I'm not complaining! They have a variety of flavors, and according to the friendly workers, they often get new flavors! I had their cherry one which was smooth but full of actual cherries. It was a tasty way to finish the night after Antico pizza. The outside seating area is beautiful. They have many places to sit with friends and chat outside. We sat in comfy wicker chairs under an umbrella. There's also another area with a large television playing. The NBA Finals were on when I was there, so it was great fun to chat with friends while glancing over to the game. Not to mention, we could all enjoy the beautiful weather that night since the area is so open! Be careful though, if it is a rainy night, there's only little seating inside. There are those covered tables outside too, but you'd probably still get wet. I love this place and would gladly return!

After an absolutely stellar experience at neighboring and co-owned Antico Pizza, I was pretty disappointed with my lackluster follow up at Caffe Antico. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? Stop and think for a moment about the greatest part of any ice cream shop? I'll be surprised if you had to think about it for more than a few seconds, and your obvious answer was the samples. It just makes sense, and for whatever reason, Caffe Antico has decided to implement a no sample policy. It's complete nonsense and honestly detracted a bit from the whole experience. No Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? $5.00 got me a somewhat disappointingly small single scoop of biscotti and cream gelato, and had it been a penny over $5.00 I would have been irked, but this was, begrudgingly, reasonable given the price point of gelato these days. Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? The gelato at Caffe Antico was good, but it didn't blow me away. I'm not sure if there was a refrigeration issue, but my scoop of gelato was half melted by the time I walked out the door, which made for some urgent eating. The flavors were there, but weren't as rich as I've had elsewhere. Single Star Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? Caffe Antico is a semi-decent top off after some nearby pizza, but as a stand-alone gelato shop it's weak. No Star Granted.

    Afogato

Just go there! Get the afogatto. It was the most delicious thing ever. Never tasted anything like it and I've had it in other places. Go! Go! Go! There's no need to write more because it was perfect. Go! Go! Go!

They've been desperately hiring the past few weeks and seem to be sucking at employee retention. You will probably run into a drugged out homeless person while patronizing this business. The inside is charming but in a grunge way. There's potential but it's just not hitting it these days. They didn't have any of their listed non-dairy milk options nor any bread except for naan (and no bread the second day I came). I've gone in often and they've run out of inventory with no timeline of replenishing. I was able to get a B.E.C. sandwich ONCE in the handful of times I've been here. It was decent and fairly priced, but unavailable the following visits I made. At some point I had to have a sandwich made with no bread because they were out. That was my last time there. Most of the baristas appear to hate working here or simply being on the planet lol. My last visit I was looped into an unwarranted political conversation when just trying to grab a coffee. I get that it's near a college campus so EVERYTHING is made unnecessarily political these days unfortunately, but maybe they should coach their folks to not engage unsuspecting customers in these conversations... literally just prioritize the JOB and the BUSINESS and the customer experience. I don't need or want a lecture on how unbearable you think our country is when I'm just trying to get a drink. It's a horrible business practice to assume ~anyone's~ social/political leaning and I hope we as a society can collectively move into a space where we stop normalizing this behavior. Hope they can pull it together because in theory it is a neighborhood asset. But currently? No bueno.

However, parking is extremely limited and difficult to find in this old fourth ward neighborhood unless you utilize paid parking. The ice orange Blossom latte was quickly made, but did not have a distinct flavor or taste-it tasted like a regular latte. I went on a Friday morning, and the restaurant was moderately busy there were spaces open, however, it was still active, and there were a few full tables and people having conversations. They had anime and various other things playing on the televisions throughout. I went in for simply a pastry and specifically to try out the apple pie Matcha. I will say it did not disappoint. One thing I always love when I'm getting a Matcha is stellar presentation and it met that. With the piping of the cinnamon cold cold foam, to the apple crisp and caramel on top, it looked beautiful, and I was happy to enjoy it! This had a great balance between the whole milk, and the amount of Matcha you can see it is a nice dark green color It also wasn't too sweet, and I felt I was getting apple pie from the drink through the hint of spices in there, along with the garnish. I was able to secure a table against the wall for two by myself to take a quick snapshot of my tray and try out my drink before leaving. I also got a caramelized onion croissant with Gruyère cheese. These were both strong flavors, that worked well together. I do wish I could've gotten heated, but maybe that's something you have to do upon request. Overall, I can't wait to go back and try some of the other items, and dine at the restaurant in the future, looking forward to the next seasonal drink! ** be sure to park in the lot next-door, to have it validated inside!**

I circled the block before I found street parking about a block away from the coffee shop. Because it was a weekday morning, I wasn't surprised that the streets were busy and parking didn't end up costing too much. After a brief walk, I approached the building and first impressions were fantastic. Daydreamer is connected to an apartment building and the aesthetics are on point. Like, this place is gorgeous! There was way more seating than I expected, inside of the cafe, outside on the terrace, and inside of the attached leasing office. There were a number of tables, booths and even comfy couches to lounge on. Electrical outlets weren't plentiful, but I eventually snagged a booth that had a plug. Yay! There seemed to only be one menu at the front and it said 'please don't take', lol.
