My favorite almost daily neighborhood spot. They know all of their regulars orders and treat us with kindness! They also have delicious pastries. Good vibes all around!

Love eating here. The food is very very well done. Plenty parking in the shared parking lot in the back (but ... watch for meter maids who will ticket expired meters quickly) Lots of people lounge and eat and grab coffee. It's a good spot for a casual meet up. A neighborhood favorite. I had the procutto caprese. Neatly made with a vinegerette side salad. They do serve breakfast at all times. The expresso machine they have makes nice strong drinks. Not some watered down bs. Will come back.

Old place. First time here. the tables are really old, it looks messy, but looks like it's a local favorite because it gets busy. I didn't think customer service was anything out of the ordinary. They take your order, you sit, they call your number or they bring you your food. The guy who took my order didn't greet or smile. I had no idea there was a specific way to order. It wasn't until I looked at the ground after I sat down, did I see the arrows. Food was ok. I ordered a bagel with lox, Turkey & bacon panini and a traditional breakfast. Thought the cafe & food was ok.

They are now open till 8pm some Days of the week so is perfect for dinner and or studying. Francisco and Diego took good care of me. Love the jazz too

Well the coffee smell and live jazz drew us in. The last time I was here, 25 years ago with my dear mama. She had a friend... more of an acquaintance, who happened to be singing here with a live band. Well ok, she was no Billie, Etta or Ella, but considering the cost it was palatable. I get unfriendly staff comments... dudes behind the counter seemed like they were more interested in starting a poker game and the occasional patron blew up the opportunity. But strong ass coffee and sweet deserts after a solid meal down the block, was in order.. When the band took a break, we were entertained by your friendly neighborhood spider man... electrified droaning on with an electric guitar. I'm certain he knew nothing about how to play but in his enlightened state, I don't think he gave a rip. The band is chowing down while I write this. I sure hope they start soon. The combination didgeridoo and bagpipes sound coming from spidy has my senses tingling... and not in a good way. But hey we support live music of all sorts especially the free variety.

I usually get the chicken and waffles, but he ordered it anyways so I got lucky to be able to still have a few bites. I ordered the "Breakfast" which came with 2 eggs however you want (I got mine over easy), hash browns, toast and either bacon or chicken sausage. I got the chicken sausage. For a drink, I had the Aquatic Park Sunrise. It was good. Not too sweet and strong enough that I wanted another lol My friend just had coffee which the staff made sure to always ask if he wanted refilled. Breakfast came quick. The chicken and waffles is a classic. I always order it when I come. Chicken was thick and juicy. I didn't try the waffle this time since I had my own food to eat (plus I've had it so many times before). This plate comes with either gravy or syrup but definitely pay the extra fee to get both. My dish was simple and delicious. Can't go wrong with eggs, hash browns and sausage. Love coming here and so happy they don't try to switch up anything too much. Came in and didn't have to wait for a table which is not always the case cause it's a busy place. Everyone is always so nice. Great place to come, great service and great food.

We had been to Tarocco for lunch and figured we would ask them for a quote, too. My daughter warned me that the owner is trying to be an "influencer" on Instagram and posts photos of herself in crop Tops so I should beware, but that's fine by me. We called to get a quote and had a discussion. After we gave the owner all of our information, she told us she wouldn't give us a quote unless we came in person (?!) Which is weird because this isn't how restaurants work. Typically for events restaurants will give you a quote via phone or email for the sake of convenience. We had gotten 3 quotes already from other restaurants via phone. Making us drive 45 mins just to get a quote is a total waste of time. Especially if we can't afford it. So my daughter called again, left a VM explaining we couldn't come in person due to time constraints, and again asked for a quote. No reply. We waited a few days and called again. No reply. Finally we got a voicemail from the owner saying that she didn't like my daughter's attitude ?!!! Apparently you're not allowed to ask this restaurant how much they charge for events unless you're face to face. This lady has absolutely no idea how to run a restaurant. We took our business elsewhere and recommend that you do, too.

It was very quiet and calm that early in the morning, and I really liked the cozy interior. I ordered the jasmine Thai tea ($7.50) and pork jowl ($22). The lava eggs were so buttery and fluffy, while the pork jowl itself was super crispy and flavorful. The sweet and savory sauce tied everything together perfectly. Such great offerings but when I'm getting my hair done, I'm in a rush to go back home/work. I finally made the time to visit Etoile! My sister was in town and getting her hair done. The workers and the owner were all very kind and welcoming. I got there a little after they opened in the morning. As for the food, I ordered the kimchi fried rice along with the chicken and croffle. The fried chicken tasted a bit interesting. I'm not sure if the frying temperature was off or if it had something to do with the condition of the oil, but the texture of the breading wasn't quite right. I used to work at a fried chicken shop in Korea, so it was a texture I recognized--the coating was fully cooked and wasn't necessarily soggy, but there was no real crunch. Instead of being crispy, the breading was soft and kind of gave way when you bit into it. Unfortunately, I couldn't continue eating it. I'd give the chicken a 2/5. As for the kimchi fried rice, I liked the addition of cilantro and beets, which gave it a refreshing touch. My only issue was that the kimchi itself was way too sour for kimchi fried rice. I don't mind fermented or sour kimchi, but in this case, the sourness overpowered the rest of the dish. Overall, the cafe itself is cute and the people working there were genuinely very kind. I just wish the food had been a little better, especially the fried chicken. Will be back next time to try out the coffee!! It is a cafe after all.

Pulled up on a Sunday early afternoon with a friend. I went with the freshly squeezed OJ and the breakfast combo - French toast, two eggs, and chicken apple sausage. Everything was delicious, but that French toast was easily the star of the show. The food wasn't the issue; the kitchen communication was. We ordered, settled in, and then watched every single table seated after us get their food while we sat there starving. After 45 minutes of playing the waiting game, we asked what was going on and found out our order was never even entered into the system. Heavy lapse in service. Management and our waitress apologized and comped an appetizer, which I appreciated. Mistakes happen, but sitting for almost an hour watching everyone else eat was a test of patience. I'll still be back because that French toast is top tier, but hopefully, the kitchen system gets it together next time.
