The staff is very nice, gentle, and attentive. The food was fresh, and it was very tasty! The atmosphere is calm. I plan on returning to dine on the roof.

My brother invited me to lunch at Caffe De Luca. I live within walking distance from the restaurant. When I drive pass the outside patio is always packed with people sitting out enjoying drinks and food. So, I was excited to see what the hype was about this place. I read a few reviews and impressed with the reviews. It was a nice afternoon, so we sat outside to dine. The service was exceptional and our server was attentive and kind. I wasn't impress with the food here at Caffe De Luca. I love Italian Food but the food here wasn't what I expected. Just basic food with no season or reason. I was very disappointed. Great Service, welcoming atmosphere, the drinks were good but the food needs improving especially for the prices on the menu.

Came in for dinner on a Thursday to try a new place. We were quickly seated, and the food didn't take too long to arrive after we ordered. Interior has a rustic feel to it, and it fits the food pretty well. Other than the complimentary dip and bread, I got to try three dishes. My main dish was the chicken parmesan. The chicken was cooked well with a satisfying texture. It came with a side of broccoli and rigatoni in red sauce. I feel like the sauce for the chicken parm and rigatoni was a little on the weak side. It was very tomato forward, which isn't a bad thing. However, it just felt a tad lacking in overall flavor. The lamb dish also had a neutral flavor despite being covered in a glaze. The dish mostly relied on the flavor of the lamb, and that included the side of potatoes as well. The mushroom risotto was probably the best dish flavorwise. It had great texture and had the right amount of cheese flavor. The vegetables on each dish were all cooked very well, which was surprising for some reason. I will come back to try some of the other dishes. Perhaps I'll find a bit more of the wow factor I was hoping for in the other dishes. There was nothing that turned me off from this establishment, and I recommend giving it a try.

I've been here twice and each time the martinis and bread and delicious white bean dip were amazing!!!! My husband tried the veal piccata and loved it! I tried the linguini fra diavolo- sauce flavor and mussels were on point! But the overcooked squid and shrimp and gritty bits and broken shells made it very hard to eat around and fully enjoy. We finished off with an incredible toffee cake that I would literally come back for! Staff is great and friendly and ambience is inviting, cozy, neighborhoody (in the best way) and welcoming all around!

    16oz ribeye steak $41

I bookmarked this place recently, and I've kept them in my mind closely for a while now. I was out alone and bored, so I stopped by for drinks and food and to soak up a little ambiance. I sat outside to enjoy the breeze and views of Forest Park. The staff were all very friendly. The restaurant was pretty busy, too. I ordered the ribeye med rare. I wanted mashed potatoes instead of the potatoes that come with it, but they charged me $6 to add it and kept the potatoe squares it comes with. It was fine, but I didn't eat those. The asparagus could've been softer, and the food could've had a little more seasoning. My steak was more medium than anything, too, but it wasn't bad in their gravy its served with. They only loss a star due to the lack of seasoning. My bellini was BOMB!!!! I will definitely be going back.

The next was a late night dessert and limoncello run (more on that in a second). The third was today (8/23/2026). The first time, it was clear that they were working hard to make a name for themselves. We talked to the owner and the chef and they were awesome. Similarly the food blew us away. So food, so friendly and just a great time. Not too long after we were walking down Maddison and stopped in for a dessert and drink. Now we learn that not only are the desserts amazing but they don't just have limoncello, they also have various other cellos! Pistachio and coffee are excellent, but check back for more! Tonight, we walked in and sat outside. The staff were amazing. Very attentive without hovering. Impeccable service! And their recommendations in the food, wine and desserts was spot on. We shared appetizers (calamari), mains and dessert, all of which were just as good as when they opened, maybe better. River Forest had a ton of great bar and grill places with good food. But Paicere Mio is on a different level. Don't just make it special occasions you come here. We came on a Sunday at 5:30 pm. Just get here and thank me later.

The restaurant is teeny, tiny. The are 2 booths, one on each side of the wine cooler. 2 adults cannot sit comfortably on one side ~ 1 adult and 1 child is the max. Also, at the booths, the table is very far away from the bench. You have to move forward to the front edge of the bench to eat over the table. They are a BIG miss ~ so I recommend avoiding them. However, the rest of the tables are on top of one another, so do not expect to have a private, quiet conversation, while not being bumped by a server or someone trying to leave their table. Saturday night was packed with people waiting, standing right over the tables closest to the door. I know nothing can be done to accommodate as many diners as possible. Do not expect the usual Italian meal. Do not go hungry because no one leaves with a doggie bag. A side of asparagus consisted of 4 small spears for $10. A lot of fish on the menu. New to me, balsamic drizzled on top of your vanilla gelato as dessert. The "special" guava cheesecake was special because it consisted of pastry shells with whipped cream not a forkful of cheesecake to be found. Food was good, service was excellent, most interesting interpretation of Italian fusion.

Walked in to an empty restaurant and asked to sit at the bar. Front of house staff was confused but obliged. Bartender is very overwhelmed making drinks for a table on the patio. I'm in absolutely no hurry, so I wait. Eventually another bartender came over, asked for my order and I asked to see a drink menu. He comes back, I ask him about happy hour specials and he wanders away saying "appetizers...." I pulled up the website and saw that the happy hour is actually really good!!! Half off apps and $8 wine. I order Pinot Grigio, baked goat cheese, and calamari. Here's how it went: -Wine was 100% a Chardonnay. I tried to drink it but I really, really couldn't. -Baked goat cheese. Sauce and cheese had flavor, pesto on the bread did not. Not a huge problem but I did notice. -Fried calamari. SIGH. As rubbery as one can get and kind of tasted like the fryer oil needed to be changed. I packaged it up to go (I think I felt too embarrassed to leave a full plate), but threw it away before I got to the car. All in all, I think it could have been good. Maybe I came on the wrong day? Staffing was weird? A little 'off' from what I would expect from a place with white tablecloths in the dining room.

The bread service was fantastic. The tomato focaccia and the baguette were both excellent and I had to remind myself not to fill up on it before the main meal! LOL! For dinner I ordered the margherita pizza which was simple and delicious. I ended up ordering a second one to-go for my partner who couldn't make it to dinner. He also loved it - even after it sat for ~30 min or so while we chatted more, then drove home to the Maywood area. I would imagine their delivery is pretty good based on that! Chef Gabriel's food is creative and delicious. His brother-in-law Jose, I believe, is the one behind the great cocktail list and making housemade aperitifs. The four of us shared two appetizers. The tuna tartare - chopped tuna on top of creamy avocado surrounded by crispy capers and quail yolk. It was served with homemade potato and vegetable chips. We also shared the goat cheese - creamy melted goat cheese sitting in a pool of tasty marinara. This was served with grilled baguette pieces. This appetizer could use more of the baguette as we ran out of bread and still had goat cheese left to enjoy. For dinner, my sister had the gnocchi with braised beef, short rib, spinach and mushrooms. I know this dish was delicious because this is what my husband ordered the first time we dined here. My two cousins had the chicken limone and said it was very good. (I have my eye on this for next time ). I opted for the branzino which was moist and served in a delicious lemon caper sauce. I would like to see a traditional pasta with marinara sauce on the menu. I think that would be a great addition for clientele who are into the traditional instead of the creative and unique. There was no room for dessert, but shots of limoncello came to the table. So sweet of Divino. Let me tell you the limoncello was amazing. Luckily, I was able to buy a bottle of this housemade limoncello. Since the four of us were raving about the limoncello, right before we walked out the door Divino gave us a tasting of the housemade pistachio cream. Omg! So smooth, creamy and divine.
