Little gem right off I-35. Don't let the location fool you. This restaurant is adjacent to a truck stop, but step inside and you'll be surprised at the menu variety and freshness of the dishes. For starters, the garden salad was delightfully fresh, accented with soft cheese, red onions, cucumbers, and dressed with a light vinaigrette. It was large enough to split with a partner and have some left over. Equally satisfying was the tomato basil soup. The Chicken Murphy was perfectly blended in a tomato-based sauce, combined with fresh mushrooms, onions, sun-dried tomatoes, more than one type of green pepper, and black olives. The Chicken Piccata was balanced with tangy lemon, capers, and butter. The portions were generous, and friendly service topped off the experience. Whether you're a local or passing through on the interstate highway, this place is worth trying out.

When you're on a road trip and officially over fast food, you start taking risks. Big ones. Like rolling up to a brand-new, no-review, truck-stop Italian restaurant in the middle of Paul's Valley, Oklahoma, on a Sunday--because, of course, nothing else is open. Enter Café Italia. It had exactly one poorly taken photo online, and that was it. No reviews, no hints, just vibes. And honestly? I was nervous. But the place looked freshly painted, and we figured, why not? Spoiler alert: We hit the jackpot. First, let's talk about the bread. They make it fresh daily, and I could have easily carb-loaded my way into a food coma with just that. But we had a mission--to test their bruschetta (our go-to Italian restaurant litmus test). It did not disappoint. Then came the mains: chicken Parmesan, the Spaghetti Works, chicken Alfredo, and two kids' spaghetti with meatballs. Every. Single. Thing. Was. Tasty. The restaurant itself was clean and cozy, the staff was beyond kind and attentive, and the prices were reasonable. And the biggest win? They're open on Sundays. If you find yourself in Paul's Valley and want a solid, non-fast-food meal, take the chance. You won't regret it.

The food here is very authentic Italian.

Both were lightly fried to perfection; the calamari was tender and neither were a bit greasy, both were served with some of the best marinara sauce I've had. It was explained when I asked that I could order any protein, with any sauce, with any pasta. I went for scallops with vodka sauce over angel hair pasta, the portion size was enough for two. My husband and grandson shared a four meat pizza and asked to switch out the three veggies for olives. My daughter had the three item plate with Alfredo, lasange and chicken parmesan, hold the marinara on the chicken. All our food arrived on point. The prices were beyond reasonable. What made the meal even more enjoyable was a gentleman playing nice music on a keyboard.

You get great service from everyone working. A nice selection of c h oices of some great italian food. Definitely the best italian i have had here in the states. We started witha small pizza for the appetizer and this was awesome. A nice hand tossed homemade dough and not over powered with sauce, a good cheese and fresh meats and veggies. My wife got the italian special which had grilled chicken, veggies and penne pasta with a nice whit wine sauce which came with choice of soup or salad. I couldnt decide so i got the tour of italy which has the chicken parmesan, lasagna and linguine Alfredo. Which has to be the best alfredo sauce i have ever tasted outside of Italy. A nice creamy cheesy flavor. I swear they had to have had their Nonna's in the kitchen cooking as you can taste the love that went into the food. They even had this little old man in the corner playing soft piano music that set the mood perfectly. A must try.

I was a little skeptical when we first arrived since the restaurant was fairly empty for a Saturday night, but wow! This place exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with a casual Italian dining feel. They seated us by the window, which made for a really nice setting for dinner. We may have just come on an unusually slow night, but it honestly made for a laid-back and enjoyable experience. I started with the spinach artichoke dip, which was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. I especially loved the little toasted bread it was served with. For my entrée, I ordered the manicotti with pink sauce, and it was incredible. The portions were huge, so I could only eat about half, but that just meant leftovers for later! Since we were some of the only people in the restaurant, it felt like we had the place to ourselves, which was actually pretty awesome. I also asked everyone in our group what they thought of their meals, and every single person said they loved them. Overall, it was a great experience with excellent food, generous portions, a cozy atmosphere, and wonderful service. 10/10 would recommend!

My last two visits have been very disappointing. My manicotti was absolutely burned the first time and was only lukewarm the second visit. Serv9ce was very show, though we were seated in the bar with only one other party in the room. Notwithstanding, there were at least three young girls standing at the entrance, doing nothing. We asked for a slice of Italian cream cake, and it was decidedly on the small side.. We also ordered cake to go, and it was a thin sliver! But we were certainly charged full price. The whole thing has the feel of a car without a driver. Very disapointing. Has management changed??
