What we received was the warmest reception, pure kindness and abundant generosity. Mary and her Staff took us in and brought us out samples of some of the best home cooking we've not had outside of our own kitchens in a very long time. Needless to say but after one bite of their chicken salad our decision was locked. The food was fresh, excellently seasoned, and absolutely delicious! The best meatball I've ever had and the chicken penne, to die for. We were charmed and fed by angels this afternoon. I will be back and will recommend this beautiful Cafe to anyone with ears. I have driven up and down this place, a good chunk of my life, and I wish I would've stopped here sooner. I finally stopped here, and I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap, and the first words out of my mouth that were "holy sh!t." It was full of flavor! It's a small place, but offers a big menu full of wraps, sandwiches, and soups. It's seriously good place to get a quick lunch. The service was very friendly. The staff is absolutely wonderful. What has really impressed me was an incident I had recently with a Grub Hub order. When my delivery did not arrive on time, I called Caffe Milan and they noted that Grub Hub had listed the wrong date for my delivery. Caffe Milan to the rescue. I am not a fan of chili but their chili is fantastic. Today I picked up a bowl of cream of broccoli which is to die for. I think another trip to Cafe Milan is in order, I feel like it's getting close to a fifth star! Well my wife and I stopped for lunch yesterday. Cafe Milan was packed, we had to find parking in the back of the place. They also ran out of the pot roast sandwich. Those are sure two good signs of how busy this place has become since my earlier review (just kidding Yelpers). I ordered the Chili with cheese and sour cream and a side of Fritos. I also had a Tuna Salad sandwich on Pretzel bread and a Mango and Strawberry smoothie. The Tuna sandwich was sooo freshly made it was really yummy! And I would say the same for the Chili, freshly made and very tasty. Of course I loved my smoothie, when don't I love a good smoothie. Maria ordered the Pasta Fasoili (spelling I know) soup. We both thought it was really good. Maria thought there were too many beans in it though (she is allergic to beans). I just added the beans she didn't eat to my Chili to make it even better (if that is possible). She also got a Chicken Salad sandwich on Pretzel bread with a side of Zucchini bread and an Ice Tea. My wife thought her Chicken Salad sandwich, that came highly recommended was a bit on the bland side. I would have to agree. But you could tell it was freshly made though. Our total bill was less than $30 dollars. The service was super friendly! I still love the older woman who comes in to work for free when she has time in her schedule and is a friend of the owner. She is really the best and sweetest woman. This place is so down to earth. If you still haven't been to Cafe Milan on Route 30 in Frankfort, I don't know what you are waiting for. Highly recommend this place. A friend from work brought in chicken salad sandwiches and it was the best chicken sandwich I ever had. The Italian beef sandwich is also top notch. Everything tastes fresh and the sandwiches are loaded with meat. The spicy giardiniera there is also very tasty and for people who love heat like myself, it gives the sandwiches a nice kick. I hate to make this review about anything other than food, but it needs to be addressed. Just the other day my brother and I went in to get some coffee instead of just going to Starbucks or something. We wanted to change it up. I ordered an "Herbal Tea" and he ordered a regular "Coffee" because their "coffee machine was broken"? Anyway, what we got were crappy, Frankfort well-water tasting excuses for coffee and tea. I really could not tell if my tea was dispersing through the hot water or if that was the overpowering flavor and color of the well water. Not to mention they were both served in large styrofoam cups, which really added to the terrible experience. We were disappointed and will never go back. However, we have had their food catered on many occasions and will still utilize that service. Get some decent coffee and tea please...or at least serve it in an actual coffee cup? read more

I've had two wakes in the same week for friends parents of my kids. Mary made the perfect mini and wrap sandwich combinations, her special w/feta pasta salad and fantastic mixed spring green salad with her own "strawberry dressing" to the delight of all the hungry guests. This is a decent place with some seating to eat in. Nothing fancy but clean. The only thing I have ever had here is the chicken salad wrap. They have the best chicken salad I have ever had. It comes with some very good slaw and a nice garlicky pickle. You can also get the chicken salad on a salad if you like. We have come here dozens of times for the chicken salad alone. I would give this place a higher rating if it were not for the wrong order or inconsistent service we have experienced on a number of occasions. But that does not stop us from coming as that chicken salad is great! read more
