I can't even type anything about this place. I could go on for days and we are obsessed. It's now become a every Saturday tradition. We LOVE the food, bakery, and atmosphere. Owner is always there making sure everything is in check. They also sell products from our other favorite next to the OG rustic knead in Lemont, Lia P's, which sells all Gluten Free items and they're so good!! They offer gluten free options here also on the menu. The prices are great. Chips and drinks are separate but have a good selection of healthy options. Or a nice crispy glass coke a cola They could use a larger location with more chairs at the Frankfort location tho! Or come summertime a largeeeee outdoor patio. read more

The food is fantastic. I got the Turkey avocado club on gluten free bread. Yes they have gluten free options. Gluten free chips and a tea. From the individuals making the sandwich all the way to checkout, everyone was exceptionally nice. The ambiance of this little restaurant was amazing and calm. 4.5 stars! Stoped in for lunch with a group of 4 and had a great meal! You order at the counter and can see your sandwich being made right in front of you. The ingredients were fresh and there was a nice variety of options on the menu. You can choose to have your sandwich made on rustic bread (looked similar to a baguette) or multigrain. They also offer gluten free bread. I went with the Club Med on multigrain which was very good and had a lot of nice flavors that meshed well. It was a very filling and satisfying sandwich and I would say that the price was on point for the quality. The staff were friendly and the overall interior was clean. Rustic Knead's second location is officially open in the Downtown Frankfort area! While they opened about 3 weeks ago, they are still working to get to 100% production level. The inside is very warm and inviting with white and wood tones, displays of baked goods, plenty of natural lighting, and seating for about 25 people. The staff were all friendly and welcoming! We ordered the 12oz lavender latte and 12oz chai tea latte. I personally felt the coffee latte could use a bit more of a flavor punch but both were good! We also got the Carrot Cake & Cinnamon Streusel Muffins. Both were hardy, moist, and had good flavor. The Carrot Cake would go great with a little bit of butter! Overall, I enjoyed my visit as a first timer of Rustic Knead. I will be excited as they stock more of their breads and to go items in the next two weeks. Their sandwich offerings looked very intriguing so I look forward to coming back to try more! read more

What a hidden gem! They are open for breakfast....but its breakfast sandwiches...no omlettes or waffles. I had the BLT with gluten free bread. It was sooooo goood!! My husband had another sandwich.. he really enjoyed that as well. Good soups, too. read more

What a pleasant surprise! It was 4th of July weekend with limited options and we were from out of town, hungry and came across Rustic Knead. We ordered the Caprese Sandwich, which was perfect, and the Ham, Brie and Fig Jam Sandwich. We detected a warm spice (maybe clove) that was slightly off putting, so we will order another sandwich next time- and there will be a next time when we're back in town visiting family. The bread has the perfect texture of soft and crunchy and made in house. During our visit you could see the baker making the bread. read more

The food is very wholesome and delicious. There's a variety of options to chose from, surely something for everyone to enjoy. The service is very friendly and attentive which is unfortunately hard to come by nowadays. The inside is very clean, modern and warm welcoming. So my wife and I tried this on a whim. Once we entered, we were treated by the staff and they walked us thru the menu. I tried the Organic Turkey and Gruyère sandwich on multi grain bread. It was fantastic! Imagine Subway with quality ingredients and amazingly fresh bread. Looking over the menu, I need to go back for breakfast time. It's a cute little sandwich shop, which just opened in Frankfurt, Illinois and unfortunately since I don't eat cheese and I don't eat pork products there's very little and sandwiches on the menu that I eat. I did try a turkey sandwich with lettuce and tomato on the rustic, and it was very good. However, their cinnamon scones which have pecans and caramel are to die for my wife's. Had a couple of sandwiches there and she has liked them very much. It's a cute little store. The people are very nice. Met an old friend for breakfast, the workers were courteous, wore gloves while making our breakfast sandwich and we were told they give a refill on the coffee which was very tasty. We both agreed our breakfast was fresh and delicious. I'd go back again for some more fresh coffee, bread and inner ingredients. read more
