North and Maple is a great hidden bar spot tucked away in Tinley Park's hotel zone. I've been here a few times and really enjoy their bar food. Every visit has been relaxed and not overly crowded. I stopped by again today with a good friend, and it reminded me why this is such a solid happy hour spot.

The menu really has something for everyone. My friend and I stopped in because we were in the mood for something appetizery, not a full meal. She went with popcorn chicken bites, Nashville hot style. I went with the steak tacos. The chicken was the better of the two but both were pretty good. Our server, John, was friendly and quick. My only complaint was that the music was super loud. My friend and I joked about being old, but it's definitely not a place to go to if you want to have a conversation.

Great location. I think they chose the perfect location. Right near the expressway and the hotel. Easy to vibe and large spacing to host many groups and parties. My girls and I came here on a whine after reading the reviews on Google and tik tok. They were very welcoming as we entered and quick to serve us. There was a band setting up as we walked in. I chosen to order the chicken wrap and bread pudding. The wrap was good. I wouldn't say delectable; however, I didn't leave hungry or dissatisfied. So a wins a win. I opted in for the bread pudding and it wasn't a miss. Spot on. Would 100/100 recommend.

Don't let the name fool you, thought this would be a hole in the wall cafe. Instead we found an up scale Restaurant / bar. We were impressed with the broad selection on the menu and when we asked our server what was good, she described so many popular dishes with enticing detail that we finally just had to make a choice. We started off with some hand breaded cheddar curds and southwestern egg rolls. Both were very good. I had the Rigatoni that came in a creamy red sauce with slices of a good fennel Italian sausage. My wife had the fish and chips and the fish was crispy on the outside and firm on the inside with great flavor. Our other guests had the pot roast and beef stroganoff and there was no need for to-go boxes for anyone. The only down side was the lighting was very poor, the only light near our table was behind me so I cast a shadow on my plate, needed to use my flashlight to take pictures and my flashlight to read the bill. Secondly the music was loud so it was difficult to carry on a conversation across the table. If rating on food and service alone, 5 stars however, with the music and lighting had to drop to 4.

Christina was amazing! I am indecisive but she made me stick to my choice. The food was amazing!

This suppose to be FLAT BREAD PIZZA. This photo does no Justice of how thick this pizza was. Nothing flat about it

When you hear the name North & Maple Kitchen + Bar you think quality and a more elevate dining experience than our regular restaurants in the burbs. It was not what I expected at all unfortunately. Came in on a Tuesday afternoon and here's my experience. Coming in it was very Dark and Cold. It didn't have a warm inviting energy that you think it would. I sat at the Bar and was so excited to order a Espresso Martini. I like to say I'm a bit of a espresso martini connoisseur. This sound like a place that would make a good one. I was wrong. It was literally creamer in a glass. If you know anything about a espresso martini, it is DARK at the bottom and as you come up you have that nice froathy layer on top (and maybe some coffee beans on top for aesthetic). Look at the color of my "espresso martini", the drink was VERY sweet and tasted like a glass of creamer. It was so hard to drink, my friend returned it. I tried to be a trooper by finishing it. It's the worse I've had. Also be aware that they don't use fresh espresso. From what I saw he used coffee liquor, BAILEYS & KAHLUA (double creamer) and no REAL espresso was added. For the food: I was starving but was so turned off that I didn't wanna bother with food and just ordered fries. You can't mess fries up and they didn't. Nice and crunchy. My friend ordered a FLAT BREAD PIZZA. Key word: FLAT BREAD.......please look at this picture. What is FLAT about this pizza. I've never seen a flat bread pizza this thick. My friend only ate 2 slices because she was starving and packed the rest for her kids. I left and went to Cooper's hawk. I really think they should do some revamping. I don't know the vibes at night or if the night crew is better. But the day time vibe of the place could be better and warmer. Get REAL mixologist behind the bar that can craft great cocktails and train others to do the same and revisit the food menu and the food presentation. Maybe add some soft tones during the day.

Thank you Christina for the great service. she went above and beyond and was very attentive; because of that we will be back!!! amazing food as well!

Looking for a nice restaurant that also has beautiful event space? This location checks off all of the boxes. Nice, open and airy. Fully stocked bar, state of the art sound system and an impeccable staff. My cousin had her baby shower here and it was a really good time. The theme was hunny bees and Pooh which was well executed. Our goody bag was peach tea and a mini jar of honey. How thoughtful. The staff was very attentive making sure the mics were working for the games. Serving up water, soft drinks and anything you may have wanted from the bar. The food was also good. They even cut and served up the cake. There was plenty of space for dancing. So I got up for one 'slide type' dance. What a good time in a beautiful space.

I think this is a great place for lunch meetings. They have great options for food and it's pretty good. I didn't like the flavor that much on the meatballs but my friend loved them.

Here's the skinny: Doesn't accept credit or debit cards but, there's an ATM. You can "order in" food. Huge selection of liquors. Decently priced drinks. Awesome decor, very comfy cozy and warm. Here's the fat: It was damn cold outside, I walked into a seriously warm environment. Lord it felt good! Teehan's doesn't accept ANY kind of credit card but, there is an excessively charging ATM in the corner. Unless you're Don Trump, bring some greenbacks. Even though they don't have a kitchen, they do allow you to order in or bring food in, pretty cool actually since there are a variety of local food stops around. Teehan's has a nice selection of liquor stocked. Tey even had something called "Cow Pie" but, I was NOT feelin' froggy enough to try it first time around... OR the second... probably not the 10th either. It's probably not "terrible" but, just because it's named Cow Pie, I'm going to stay away from it. Drinks are priced reasonably, $3.50 or $4.50 for an import. Not sure what Domestics are but, they're probably cheap. Glenn Fiddich - $7.50 for a double on the rocks with a twist BTW. There is a lot of Irish decor. I especially like the "Nothing is to good for the Irish" sign above the bar. Lighting is great, very tranquil, and the Tiffany style lights(look up) give the place a nice flair. The only faults I can find is that the men's room doesn't have a door to the errr... how shall I put it... "Number Two" stall and the bathroom is a bit dated in general. I'll come back from time to time, can't wait to see what it's like in the summer months. #SYOY!
