Here's a place that you need to put on next trip to Clearwater Beach. Recently changed hands to the New Owners Tina and Tom, these guys have taken it to the new level. Upon walking in, all you smell is Coffee Beans and PHENOMENAL Pastries. If they could bottle that smell it would be the BEST air freshener anyone could ever get. Was excited to see an organic coffee shop/bakery with gluten free and vegan options, however it ended up being disappointing. I ordered the regular coffee, which took about 10 minutes to come out. It was at best Luke warm. I ordered a breakfast (bacon, egg and cheese) bagel sandwich, which took about 15 minutes to come out. It was cold, the cheese was not melted and upon picking up the sandwich, it leaked raw egg yolk. For 4 coffees, 4 ice waters and 4 breakfast sandwiches it cost over $70.00!!!! Very convenient that the menu, which is posted on the wall, had NO prices on it. Beware! read more

Came down for vacation and found this brand new place. Simple quick breakfast options, that were tasty. My wife had a iced vanilla latte (couldn't really taste the vanilla, but the espresso flavor was still good enough to sip on). I had the mochaccino and it was delicious! Very nice employees, good music choice in the background and hopefully we will get back there before we leave in a few days. read more

Had a sandwich on Dave's bread with miyokos vegan mozzarella, tomato, basil and balsamic with a beet juice. They also had two kinds of vegan gf pastry's and vegan PB cookies LOTS of vegetarian & vegan options. Fast, friendly service. Can't wait to come back. read more

My husband and I came here during our honeymoon for a quick breakfast. We each got iced lattes, I got a blueberry hand pie and he got a blueberry muffin. They were fantastic!! The hand pie was like the best toaster strudel you've ever had, with real whole blueberries through the entire pie. His muffin was a great size and chock full of blueberries. The lattes were both very good, not too strong, or too weak. We each got a flavor in our lattes, his vanilla and mine chocolate. It was a soft hint of flavor in the end and was delicious. We even got a bagel with cheese and egg to go, it was equally fantastic. The atmosphere inside is very chill, the decor was super cute with chalkboard signs and neat lighting. We came during their soft opening and can't wait to come back our next time in town! read more

Let me begin on a positive note by saying that the shop is adorable inside, with lots of tea displayed and both gluten free and vegan options. We read great reviews online and were so excited to try this spot. We were up the street at the hotel where some of our guests are staying for a 200+ person wedding this spring. I was hoping that we could list this little nook as a great spot for our most selective of coffee drinker friends, and also our guests just looking for a great morning coffee with a little something to eat on the side. To say we were gravely disappointed is the understatement of the year. This is the second yelp review I've ever written in my life; I literally had to request a new password to login to my account in order to write a review, but I felt compelled to do so because the experience was strikingly poor. Our drinks were solid and met the expectation in terms of quality, but took a long time to come out. My latte came out first (I'd say 7 minutes after we ordered), my finance's regular black coffee came out 5+ minutes later. Upon asking for cream, the barista quickly shot back, "What do you want?" Hmmmm. How about, "Sir, we have heavy cream, half and half, organic whole milk ....". I'm not even sure if those are the options because they were never provided, nor was a spoon to stir the heavy cream. Also, I'm totally on board with keeping the milk products behind the counter but that would be a great question to pose to guests while they order rather than sounding annoyed when they ask for cream 20 minutes later while served. Next was the food. I ordered a quiche and he ordered a breakfast sandwich on a bagel with bacon, egg and cheese. My quiche was served ice cold, never heated. I've had quiche served at a wide range of restaurants, national and international, but never straight from the fridge. That being said, I was still willing to give it a whirl, but the consistency of everything, especially the crust, was so disappointing. Also, why did it take nearly 15 minutes for a freezing cold quiche serving to arrive?! Couldn't that have been provided at the checkout. The grande finale was my fiancé's breakfast sandwich. It was literally the WORST bagel sandwich ever. Worse than a hospital cafeteria breakfast sandwich. The bagel was never toasted. The cheese was NEVER melted - literally a cold hard square slice. The egg had been warmed at some point, but was also cold and slightly browned. Finally, the "bacon" on top was three skinny, cold, hard, dry strips? Vegan bacon perhaps. DEFINITELY did not look like ANY bacon we've seen before. He took one bite and tossed the entire thing. $28, plus a $5 dollar tip later, we left to have breakfast somewhere else. Not sure if it was a total fluke as everyone else seems to have had a positive experience, and we were so psyched about this little shop, but this morning was abysmal. I cannot fathom sending our friends and family there this spring for fear that they will have the same experience! Before working in our current professions, both of us had restaurant experience during high school, college, and graduate school. It's not an easy industry and I think that the two of us are ordinarily the guests that are willing to wait, to compromise, and to have compassion. But the experience this morning was top 5 worst ever. A cup of joe at home and bowl of Cheerios would have blown this breakfast out of the water. read more

Our first day here we found Caffeinated Bakery and we went here every morning for the rest of our trip! No need to try anywhere else. On top of that, their food is delish. Coffee, tea and muffins tasted good, but twenty bucks for a tea, a latte and two muffins just felt a little bit steep for this Midwesterner. Still, if you need a good cup of Joe, this might be the best quality coffee you will find on the beach, so I'd recommend the place. read more
