Well once again I visited this shop to pick up a few goodies before the start of Orthodox Lent. Lagana (Greek Lenten bread) as well some halva for myself...think nougat laced with cocoa here...and feta for my dear non Orthodox Queen Bee. Odd part about that: she fasts along with me for the most part, albeit not quite as strictly. Anyway: the counter girl was friendly as is most of the staff in there. Mr Kranias himself was way in the back by the ovens chatting away in Greek to his Hellenic confrere. One thing I noticed is that as his shop has gotten bigger and busier over the several years I've gone there...I see him less and less in the front and haven't spoken with him in kind of awhile. Anyway: once Greek Easter finally comes and goes I'll likely be back for my regular nomnom noshes in the near future...stuff like kreatopita, tiropita, galaktoboureko and maybe koulouria (Greek bagels) too. It's nice to see they've started offering more grocery type items (candy and sweets, for example) as well as their usual baked goods and lunch fare. Most of it is Greek, which is fine by me...so am I, as it turned out.

Home for the holidays and Manos was a necessary stop. It's been since time since I've been in and was pleasantly surprised with the expansion. Lots more room for the excellent pastries and baked goods that I've come to expect. Excellent service and food as always.

This place can't decide whether it's a tea room, Café, bakery, or a lunch spot! But it's all good! For $13 and some change I got fries, 2 pieces of bread, a gyro sandwich, a generous supply of tzatziki sauce, and a Greek salad! Sorry, no pictures of the bread or fries, I ate them while driving. This is a much better deal than the last gyro place I visited in Seminole. 3 cheers for family owned businesses!

    Gyro Bowl

Stopped by for lunch while in Tampa. Great spot! We sampled a Greek custard pastry... and then bought one for the road after we ate. I had the gyro "bowl". It had a very generous serving of gyro meat and was served over a bed of delicious rice. My wife had a Turkey, Bacon, and Avocado Wrap. It would be nice if they had iced drinks, instead of canned or bottled drinks. Overall, it was a great experience with great food.

    a sandwich and a salad

Delicious authentic Greek food and pastries. They had a gyros burrito with a homemade jalapeño feta spread and lightly toasted the burrito. Delicious! Family-owned with great service.

Been going here for years, great food, always fresh and well-prepared. Super desserts. I like supporting local folks who do a good job.

The cheesesteak: wonderful. Less cheesy than our other spot. The roll (they ship them in from Philly) was my favorite part! Fries were great! Service: awesome. The woman ringing us up heard us say we were going to share a large one so she suggested we could each order our half our own way. They have an abundance of topping options. She then came and checked on us later as we ate as well. Ambience: lots to look at here. A ton of sports and Philadelphia-related memorabilia. It's a retro, super casual atmosphere. Bustling. I like that sort of place. Overall, I think we will still have our original favorite more often, mostly because it is within walking distance. But if we are over in that area, we would definitely do Delco's again!

The order of fries we had no problem with. My dissatisfaction came with both cheese steaks. The rolls used were terrible. I couldn't eat my cheese steak sandwich. The roll was of inferior quality. Something you might expect at a Winn Dixie. I noticed the lowest grade bread before I took my first bite. It was not the authentic philly roll I've had on my cheesesteaks for 20 years st Delcos. Would have been great had Delcos advises me they changed to a substandard bland roll of cheap bread. I understand why they didn't have the balls to disclose this. I for one would of told them I'm taking my business elsewhere. How could you do this Delcos? Charge me an extra buck if you had to and provide me what I thought I was purchasing. The amount of 'meat' was still generous. Cheese and toppings you didn't gip me on. These issues don't mean jack with out the authentic rolls. As I said, charge me an extra buck for the authentic rolls. I wouldn't have complained!! I used to always come to you for your authenticity. We just cane home from Arbys. Trying their knew cheesesteak with Cooper chease. Anyone from up in Pennsylvania knows Cooper cheese. Too bad they didn't use amoresso rolls. It was still better than Delcos new version going with a poor man's roll. It doesn't feel right I'm slamming my favorite place for cheesesteaks. The people and service was stiil A1. I never went back again out of fear of getting disappointed once again. I'm not one to let anyone, or a business fk me twice so I'm not going back unless I get an explanation, and they went back to the real cheesesteak rolls. I'm even willing to reevaluate and change this review. Until then, I'm exercising my right to choose another place, just like Delcos used inferior rolls and kept their mouths shut to increase sales. Delcos as far as I'm concerned right now, you did me dirty.

While at the beach we started to get hungry so me and my princess decided to grab an early dinner after a day of long travel and the hotel receptionist said " go eat outside at the sandbar!" Brianna was our server and was amazing ! She made my little one a Shirley temple which she loved and kept the cold beers coming for me . We ordered shrimp cocktail for appetizers and wings then I decided on the grouper sandwich with a side salad and fries and mini cheeseburger sliders and fries for my little one. We enjoyed our view of the ocean and stayed after we ate and got to see dolphins swimming near by. We will definitely be having lunch here a few more times before we leave. We had drinks to start; my 20 year old and 16 year old had soda. Wife had a Coroner and I have the spicy jalepeno margarita. All was great! We did not get apps, but there are lots of choices. For mains I had the Birria tacos with onion rings. One daughter had the same. Great taste, but if I had to do it over I would get a side of salad or coleslaw as it was a lot of fried on my plate. That said, finished it all! My other daughter had the chicken Cesar salad and loved it. Chicken was very tasty. My wife had the grouper basket. She thought it was tasty and hit the spot. Service was not bad but not great. Just not friendly. Overall a great stop. Be prepared you are outside and if the weather turns you are on the hook. Also, no reservations so first come first serve!
