We always come to Cafe de Paris on our annual beach drink to Indian Rocks Beach. Here is what we love about it. Atmosphere: The Cafe de Paris is located inside a small strip mall in Indian Rocks Beach. It's simply decorated on the inside. It has a large display case with a variety of fresh pastries, breads, and quiches to pick from. You can also watch the master chef/owner make crepes at his work station. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The seating is based off what's available when you walk in. You order at the pastry display case! Service: The service is fast. Everyone we encountered was very friendly! Food: We always love the food we get here. I like their croissant sandwiches. You can pick from a variety of options but I always get the bacon, egg, and cheese option and asked for it pressed. I love their Paris Special coffee drink. It is a long shot of espresso topped with whip cream and shaved chocolate. Yum! I've tried a variety of their pastries and they are always good. Came here for a sweet treat and walked out with a quiche and a sweet treat. They have so many great and beautiful looking options it made it hard to choose. I picked a raspberry tart, which absolutely beautiful and delicious! I also picked the bacon and mushroom quiche, which was also delicious! Service was quick and easy! Well third time wasn't the charm. We tried 2 times driving from Tampa. First time it was closed and second they were closing early and stop serving. It wasn't bad but also disappointingly not great food wise. Service was pleasant and they brought items out quickly since it wasn't real busy on a Saturday lunchtime. Parking up front was easy. Staff was nice and friendly. Order at the counter and they bring it to your table. Quiche with bacon mushrooms was just ok. Lacked seasoning, richness and depth of flavor. Not bad but not great. The pressed pâté panini with cornichons had a crunch and iceberg lettuce. The croissants missed the laminated butter pastry taste and flakiness. The raspberry beignet wasn't overly sweet but tasted more bready than donut beignet. After that, we still ordered a lemon sugar crepe that missed the mark. It leaned more savory undertones without the lightness, tart and sweetness. More meh. I tried adding more sugar. Was it the lemon in the jar instead of fresh squeezed? The batter? The whipped cream didn't help. Oh well, we tried. All in all folks seem to like it, but I wouldn't really say it's a Parisian cafe or a patisserie that I'd make a long drive. Wow!!! I'm so excited to find this wonderful French bakery in Indian Rocks! We went in for chocolate croissants, and discovered that and so much more. In addition to pastries, they have cookies, macaroons, quiches, crepes, breakfast sandwiches, beverages, and more. You can dine there or take away. Parking can be tough, but there are some free spots in front and alongside. If you are studying nearby and can walk there, that's what I would suggest. Another amazing breakfast at the Paris cafe. The staff is always very welcoming (Order inside to the left of the entrance). Trop mignon! Here's a pointer: first grab a menu, then grab a seat, then order at the counter (this is also what the staff recommended), as it gets busy. All my food was delicious! Not the best I've ever had in terms of French breakfast, but considering the location, it very much was a pleasant brunch. Recommend sharing if you have a partner or friends to try out a couple dishes. My iced coffee was great. French onion soup sips were very cheesy and must be served here in the space. Highly recommend getting a crepe, their fruit isn't canned, I think.... Everything was quite good. And the chef is French so it's a cute addition to the "atmosphere". Pastries, coffee, croissants and the beach. What more could you ask for?! When we visit Indian Rocks Beach this is always a must stop for us. When you walk in the door you are hit with the smell of fresh bread and coffee and greeted with a friendly hello. Even though a majority of us in there are tourists we are treated like locals. On this visit I tried the hot pressed ham and cheese croissant and the apricot danish. Both were absolutely delicious! The croissant was warm and flaky, the cheese melty and the side of mustard completed it. The apricot danish was light and airy and oh so fresh. Do not expect fast service as it's really popular and they are challenged to keep up. Long wait for a good cappuccino. The Croissant with ham and cheese was fluffy, buttery and yummy. Wow. Wow. Wow. Get here early. We got here around 9am on a Friday and parking was difficult. Luckily we were going to the beach, so we found beach parking in the lot next to it. They do have a lot next to the plaza, but looks to fill up fast. May need to do street parking across the street or walk from the Indian rocks beach parking lot. It's first cone, first serve seating. We grabbed a menu and found a table. It's relatively small inside but surprisingly enough, everyone I saw come in found a seat. Ordering was quick and the wait time was almost nonexistent. We got the special house sandwich, with a banana and Nutella Crepe, a mixed berry crepe, and a latte. The bread was crunchy, fresh, and just sooooo delicious! We barely had space on the table for all the food and they pulled up a chair for us the owner was making all the crepes and he was so in the zone. Such a nice man.
