The absolute best experience in such a scary time. I was having such a hard time finding an oral surgeon and needed to get my tooth pulled because the pain was unbearable. The receptionist when I called was so friendly and really gave me a great vibe which put me at ease, because getting a tooth pulled is kinda scary! She fit me in for an appointment next day and asked me to fill out the forms online. I absolutely forgot to do so and when I came in she was so forgiving about it like it's not a problem at all take your time. Just absolutely nice. Like 3 different people came in to either assist me at some point or just to chat while I was waiting which was so nice. Even though the wait wasn't long, sitting there just waiting for someone to yank your tooth out can be a little nerve wrecking. The procedure took some work bc my teeth are stubborn but the Dr was so patient and talked me through everything. It was just such a great experience. The icing on the cake was, I just got a call from her checking up on me to see how I was feeling. I've been to many doctors and dentists for different things and I've never received such care. EVER!! Brand new customer. I arrived at 3:56 for my 4:30 appointment. I sat and watched new people come in, sit down and go in. I am still sitting. When I arrived one person was here. You would think I would be next. Nope, everyone who came in the door after me was. Finally a staff member came into reception at 4:28 to bring in more people and asked if I am waiting for someone. I told her I am waiting for my appointment. In all fairness I was very early for my 4:30 appointment. I was finally called in about 4:38. I was sat in a chair to have an x-ray of my mouth. That took about 2 minutes to complete. I was then walked to a chair in a room. I was asked a few insurance questions and waited for the dentist. And what a wait. I was moved from the waiting room to effectively sit in another chair. All of this is minus having and procedure done. The staff is friendly and the office is clean. I will give an update after I have one of th se pearly whites removed. I don't mind th wait if the service is good. We all know how hard it is to find a good dentist! The dentist was kind and knowledgeable during our consultation UPDATE:. I completed oral surgery in this office a week later. Now I understand why there are so many people coming to her office. Dr Cafferata is an awesome dentist. My greatest fear when going to the dentist is the pain of the needle. I was having a wisdom tooth extracted. That means a nice deep needle to the nerves. I honestly couldn't even tell you when she put the needle in. I felt nothing. On top of that she injected me about six more times around a tooth area. I didn't feel it. She took ample time to let the novocaine do its job. While waiting for dental assistant spoke to me. We had a nice 10 minute chat about restaurants and food. Definitely ease my mind because I was very nervous. Dr Cafferata explained the procedure as well as the risk before she started. She referred back to my x-rays in order to point out the area and let me know what's going on visually as well. She's very sore-spoken and kind in her words. She's very patient and a genuinely nice lady. She made sure I was relaxed throughout the procedure by asking if I was okay and offering breaks if needed. Even during the procedure she still was talking me through what she was doing to let me know what was going on in my mouth. I definitely would trust her as a professional to complete this type of procedure again and I recommend here. Just don't go the same day as my appointment read more

After waiting for over a hour just to be told she will have to learn to live with it and it wasn't until my daughter started to cry did she offer a alternative. Several Excellent Experiences! Wife had implant done - Dr Cafferata called the next day to see how she was feeling. Wife called on a Friday and left a message - office was closed, but within 20 minutes, Dr Cafferata called to see if she could help. Dr. Claudine Cafferata had to pull my cracked tooth during my visit to NY. She was very personable and accommodating. My tooth was very brittle and cracked a few times during the surgery, but I was very comfortable and she apologised profusely for something that she couldn't help. The staff was polite and scheduled me right away for my emergency situation. I was in pain after the extraction while waiting for my son to pick me up. Dr. Cafferata came to the waiting room herself to check the bleeding and gave me more compresses and pain medication. My surgery didn't heal as fast as normal, so she saw me a second time and gave me more medication. I highly recommend her. I was given some gas to calm me down during the surgery. One of her assistants was with me the whole time and talked with me to keep me from getting nervous. All in all, they made the best out of a difficult situation. I had a last minute appointment to have an emergency tooth extraction late Friday afternoon. Great staff at the office, friendly and helpful. Office is clean and not cluttered like some. Once I was seen by the doctor she was incredible in every way. Her bedside manner, appearance, personality, caring every step of the way, thorough in explaining how to expect the next few days. Next day following surgery, I received a call from her that morning asking how I felt and how to treat my pain and heavy workload. I feel that on a scale from 1-10 that she's an 11. I also received a call from her office as well following up with how I'm feeling. I would recommend any friend or relative to this office because they took me last second, late on a Friday and as we all know most people like to get out of the office on Friday to start their weekend. They were busy, so I'm appreciative that I was able to get seen and the doctor's assistant even apologized, which was unnecessary, for not seeing me sooner because of the influx of patients . After reading the reviews it's obvious that this is a practice that cares about their patients and take pride in their work. Since I don't have dental insurance I was also given a courtesy discount since this treatment was entirely out of pocket. Amazing oral surgeon! She is so nice, cares about her patients comfort and explains everything she is doing. I went out of my way to pay out of pocket just to go to her because I felt so much more comfortable with someone like her. I have a fear of going to dentist and doctors , was very nervous before hand where I was in tears. Once I met DR. Cafferata and went to her office I felt at ease and was completely fine for the whole consultation and procedure. I had an impacted wisdom tooth removed and it was in bone and near a nerve and she was able to get the whole tooth out when I thought the roots were going to have to be left in. I felt absolutely 0 pain! From the novaicaine shot to the end of the procedure I felt no pain and she explained what she was doing and I felt fine I even was laughing at myself because I felt myself drooling a bit and I didn't even get gas! Just novocaine shots which was great because I also have a fear of Anesthesia. I have only mild pain / discomfort and minimal swelling. I feel great and so happy I went to her! She is worth going to 100% even if she isn't in your insurance network. I have never had a cavity or needed any dental work until June 2018, when I needed to have 2 molars pulled on an emergency basis. My experience with Dr. Cafferata was so pleasant, I am no longer afraid to have any dental work done. In June, Dr. Cafferata took me on short notice and I waited less than 10 minutes (I had to complete paperwork as a new patient) to see her. She explained my X-rays and the procedure in great detail, continued to answer my myriad questions with patience, was sensitive to my nervousness, and checked in with me constantly during the procedure as to how I felt. The one-on-one attention I received made me feel like I was the only patient in the office. Dr. Cafferata called the next day to see how I was doing. Her beside manner is gentle and caring. Her staff are pleasant and always smiling. On Dec. 17, I had the follow up appointment to have two implants inserted. Again, there was no wait time, the procedure was demonstrated with models, and my X-rays were explained. I was offered sweet gas, which I declined this time based on the ease of my last experience. During the procedure, Dr. Cafferata asked several times if I was ok and was willing to stop for a break if I needed it. I was in and out in less than an hour (including recovery). After the procedure all I needed was Ibuprofen the first night and the day after I was fine; no discomfort, no pain. I highly recommend her. read more

Whenever I have had an issue in the past or a concern, she always has time to immediately take a look at whatever it is I needed and/or called me to advise me on what to do if I wasn't nearby.
