Mary has been working with me through some incredibly difficult transitions with my insurance over the past couple of months. I found out I was pregnant with twins and Mary was able to help me get on a better plan for both me and my babies. She has also helped me navigate the incredibly difficult systems of Medical and MCAP, reassuring me throughout and holding my hand through the loss of my Covered Cal Kaiser Plan during the sticky transition to Medical. When I was denied for Medical (twice!), Mary reassured me that I am eligible, and showed me how to get in touch with a supervisor there so I wouldn't have to go through the painstaking appeals process, which would have taken months and which entailed a hearing and a trip to Sacramento. She has gone absolutely above and beyond advocating for my care, and for the care of my unborn babies. I do not know what I would have done without her or what I would do without her now. I may even have chosen not to go through with the pregnancy if it weren't for her helping me to navigate what can at times feel like unsurmountable systems.
