2024 Edit They moved! The location on Rte. 28 is bigger and brighter. Head to Hearth and Kettle and it's right there in that little mall. The setting has indoor seating with views of the water. Outdoor space is plentiful. New: 7 AM opening service Snowy Owl Coffee and Shakerato's. Of course at 12, the gelato is served. I like their flavors. The blood orange one is very good. The passionfruit cheesecake is good too. Surprisingly it's not too heavy. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They are located near the pond so the view is good. read more

Fantastic place for authentic gelato. Many amazing flavors to choose from ranging from sweet cream to fruity sorbets. The service is very helpful and allow you to try a sample before choosing your dessert! Although it is small inside, there is a good amount of seating, including a fun leather couch and chairs for a fun and comfortable atmospheric feel. This was my kids' first experience with gelato. I saw the good reviews and decided to give it a shot. I was so delighted I did! There are few joys than a perfect ice cream cone. But let me first apologize in calling this ice cream. This is gelato worthy of Rome, Venice, or Taormina. Absolute perfection. Don't compare this to anything offered in Boston's North End. This is the real deal. Their Marscapone Berry is fantastic. New flavors are offered all the time. Quaint little place located just off Main St. in Hyannis. We couldn't decide which of the 20 or so flavors we wanted to try so we opted for a large cup ($6) of 3 different flavors: hazelnut, chocolate, and blueberry mascarpone. The latter was the best. The owners trained in Italy. They've been open seasonally for 6 years and you can tell they really care about the place. It's immaculate and they mentioned how they meticulously manage the size of their inventory in an effort to maintain freshness. The gelato chef even came out from the back in full chef attire with the hat and all. A much better option than the Ben & Jerry's around the corner. Only 4 small benches on the porch out front so you may not have a place to sit in the summertime. read more

This place is so amazing and definitely worth the drive to Yarmouth. The owners are adorable and the sweetest people we met in Cape Cod. We came back the day after our first visit just for another taste before leaving the island. I may have tried every flavor and think the amerena Cherry is the best! I've traveled to Italy many times, and whenever I go, I eat a lot of gelato. Bertini's makes better gelato than I've ever had in Italy. The people who own it are so friendly and clearly devoted to doing things the right way. When my husband asked about their pistachio flavor, they told him they roast the nuts and grind them on site, to make sure they're right. It's also served in reasonably sized proportions, instead of those 43-ounce "single-scoop" blood glucosphere monstrosities you'll find at most ice cream establishments. What we got: Lemon (my order): absolutely the best gelato I've ever had. Tangy and creamy. It sounds simple, and it is, but transcendently so. The Platonic Ideal of gelato. Pistachio Citrus Cassata (my husband's order): nuts ground so finely you can't even detect that they're there, except for the wonderful flavor. Citrus mixed beautifully. They even have a beach a short scenic walk from the store, where you can sit and eat your delicious little icy fortune. Just an utter delight. Put this place on your to-do list. You won't be disappointed! read more

Came here today and realized it was under new ownership. Recipes seem to be the same which is great. However, the person serving the gelato definitely looked lost. No gloves and his hands were touching the gelato while scooping. We ordered a medium cup and there was a large gap with no gelato. Ordered a small cone and I recieved something that wouldn't even be considered a kiddie size. Maybe it was an off day? Just very strange and not at all what I'm used to for years of going here. read more

Amazing gelato. Nice couple who own the place and fresh made gelato. As someone who has been to italy many times and had a lot of italian gelato, this is the real deal. The hazelnut and carmel sea salt was amazing! Saffron flavor was interesting, my son got it because it was yellow lol. They also have a lot of non dairy options almond milk and fruit flavors. A cute little Gelato place that appears to be built from a small house. All the flavors are nice and they even have interesting drinks such as Gelato mixed with espresso. There's not that many places to sit besides a few benches on the porch of the house the Caffe Gelato was built on. I ended up buying gianduia gelato that tasted like chocolate. I wish I knew more about gelato so that I could write a better review but with my limited exposure to gelato, I can say that I am definitely a fan of Caffe Gelato Bertini and that I would come back if I ever go back to Cape Cod. read more

My husband and I love coming here every time we visit the Cape in the summer. The gelato is super creamy, and they have a great selection of flavors available. I especially love that they have doggie safe gelato, which I try to get when I can for the pup. This is the best gelato in the US. It competes with some I had in the beautiful city of Sorrento, Italy. Light, buttery, creamy, pure flavor. Homemade fresh daily on site by artisans by trained in Bolognia, Italy. I'm sure they must be within the codes and regulations yet they are here in Hyannis. This place is a real find. Don't leave Hyannis without visiting these wonderful folks and their heavenly treat. Their hospitality and friendliness only adds to the experience. It is now September 18th and I have still not received any follow-up communication about my initial order on September 2nd, or my follow-up email on September 13th. At this point I feel like I have to assume I have been scammed out of the $70 and see if I am still able to perform a chargeback on my credit card to try and recoup some of the $70 I threw into the void.... It can be very hectic when the road is busy and backed up. The pies are on the pricier side - $23 a pop but honestly they are so good that it is worth every penny. What a nice hidden gem that I hope stays somewhat hidden!
