Excellent restaurant with beautifully appointed interior. Walking down the street and decided to browse at the menu posted outdoors and was greeted by the host escorting us inside. We did not have reservations however they still were able to accommodate us. We had a lovely little window seat on plush red chairs. Very comfortable. Our server was phenomenal. He took great care with us and explained anything we did not understand! I ordered the roast chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. I did opt for a side of green beans and they were fresh and crisp. Stopped in for lunch on our first day in Paris. Our server brought us a bottle of Evian and did not give us the option to have tap water. My croque monsieur was dry and lacked flavor. Near the military school. Stopped by for a quick burger and shake. They have menus in French (red) and English (blue). Came with extra Dijon, mayo and ketchup for the fries and burger sauce (thousand island like) as well. Only downside was when I asked for still water they brought out a used Evian bottle. Probably a misunderstanding with the difference between still and mineral, as the other restaurants brought tap water. Lesson learned. Bathroom is downstairs and clean. read more

Very cute! We stopped around 1500 on a Sunday. They were busy, but we were treated and sat immediately inside. Chic ambience. Red cloth chairs and marble tables. The staff was friendly and attentive. She created us in French and after we returned the greeting, she accurately started speaking English. LOL. Guess our accents aren't great. The food was exquisite. I had the salmon and hubs had the shrimp and risotto. Both were done to perfection. Drinks were great too. read more

We found this place while on a walk through the neighborhood where we were staying. The location is perfect. Close to everything. The waiters greeted us outside. I asked for their best table inside. They showed us to an excellent table in the middle of the restaurant where we could see everything inside and outside. The waiters were great. They put on a show with the dishes they carried in and out of the kitchen. They were very attentive. I always ask for a recommendation. They helped me out, and we placed our order. We got our food pretty quick. We liked the food and service so much we ate here 3 of the 4 days we were in Paris. We tried both lunch and dinner. The staff remembered us and gave us the same table every time. Nice. We had the Salad with goat cheese, onion soup, Chicken skures, Quechee, and Salmon. We tried a few other things also, and all were good. This is a great location for people watching. Seating outside was nice, but i can't get use to the smoking, so inside was best for us. The customer service is excellent. Great location. The food was good. The service was great. That's why we ate here a few times. I recommend it. read more

After a very long day touring Normandy we wanted a lovely restaurant near our hotel. Walked by and they took us without a reservation. Loved the vibe and had a fabulous waiter who spoke English. He helped me select a delightful glass of wine and brought it along with a basket of bread, olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and party mix. We split the Caeaar salad with crispy warm chicken. We both had rib eye steak from specials menu which was well prepared and delightful. No room for dessert! Highly recommend and would return if staying longer. The best feature of Terrasse du 7eme is its location at a busy intersection near Les Invalides and L'Ecole Militare. It is also pretty close to the Eiffel Tower. Since it's right in the heart of Paris, it made for great people watching and enjoying the cafe lifestyle on their sidewalk patio. You get great sunlight, great views of the passing pedestrian and automobile traffic while enjoying a beverage. Great for American travelers in need of good food with polite and friendly service. Finding a place to eat where you'll be treated with respect and courtesy isn't very easy for an American traveler, no matter how much you try to kill them with kindness. What a great find right down the road from our hotel. We sat upstairs rather than outside on the sidewalk. They do have inside dining downstairs too. My wife had the Sea Bass and fried vegetables (actually sautéed). I had the Rump Steak with Fries. Both were excellent. The service was spot on. Very reasonably priced. Next time we go, I think we will sit outside on these very comfortable looking couch/booths we saw as we left. read more

The typical Paris Café food, placed in a very comfortable setting and atmosphere. Our waiter was awesome, too bad I forgot his name, but he was a complete gem! After stopping in to numerous brasseries between the Eiffel Tower and the Ecole Militaire metro station, either to check out the menus or to try the food, we decided this was the one & only place we'd return to. And we did. At our first visit we had a delicious dessert, our group trying the wonderful crepes, ice creams and sorbets. We had, earlier, attempted to stop for the same late-night snack, on our way back to our hotel at 23:00hrs. Many places were already closed, and yet there was one, where they didn't seem at all interested in serving us at that hour, unless we wanted a full meal. We are not "early-bird" diners, yet even for us, 11pm was late for dinner. Everything we ordered was presented beautifully & tasted delicious. This brasserie is a very large notch above the others in service, selection, decor, presentation and taste. If we lived in Paris, I'd return often and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. read more
