Great Italian in Midtown. I had the carbonara with perfectly al dente spaghetti, and my friend loved the fresh pasta with beef ragù and she said it was delicious. The lunch special included dessert, so we finished with pistachio gelato and coffee, which was a perfect ending. Street parking was available and easy to find.

We had dinner with some of our friends last night and wow Pasta e Basta was amazing! The lasagna was incredible with the creamy bechamel sauce and the short rib pasta was extremely flavorful. We couldn't help but try the tiramisu and chocolate cake which both did not disappoint. We had friendly service and loved the design inside. The pasta was authentic and a little slice of Italy in Miami, we will definitely visit again!

Fantastic! It's small and cozy, with a comfortable atmosphere. The style is simple and casual, yet it retains a refined elegance. I absolutely love this authentic Italian pasta spot. For those of us living in the city center, it is truly a hidden gem. Our waiter, Mirko, was excellent.

I felt like I was back in Italy. The restaurant is small and cozy and oh so beautiful and classy. The food was delicious, well priced, and good portion. Very authentic! It's a must try. The lunch special can't be beat, a pasta, dessert, and coffee for $22... #winning. Service was great, the server was very attentive.

I always rave about this place to coworkers. This is the second job I've had I was able to convert people to Pasta e basta fans!! Came with co workers for their lunch special I believe it's pasta dessert and espresso for under $25 ! I got the carbonara , it's so flavorful and the pancetta is juicy and crispy. Food is always fresh and consistent in taste. I got the tiramisu for my lunch dessert it was so good and also taste very fresh. We sat in the garden and it makes you forget you are in the middle of Miami. The vibe feels like you are on vacation in a wine garden. I can say it's a small place and fills up all at once for lunch so service can be a touch slow for extra request. But the overall experience is worth it

Place is small, but very charming - it has a cool and hip med/California vibe. We showed up to celebrate an event without a reservation on a Friday night around 8:45p (peak hour), and the staff was very polite and accommodating - we waited maybe 15 minutes before they found us a table for 3. The food was great: I had the carbonara - it was delicious - I rarely, if ever, give high praise, and this dish was a 6 out of 5 - it was not like any carbonara I've ever had, but it was delicious. The crispy cured guanciale (pig cheek) was out of this world (really crispy and flavorful - mind you since it's cured it's very salty, but I love salty). And the pecorino Romano had a strong acidity to it making the dish the best carbonara I've ever had. We also ordered the BEEF LASAGNA and CONCHIGLIONI AL SUGO DI CARNE (short rib pasta). I only tried the lasagna and it was decent, I would order it - I'd rate it a 4 of 5. I did not try the short rib pasta, but my friend said it was great. Throughout the experience, the staff kept frequently, professionally and 'seamlessly' checking on us without intruding at any point - they were prepared for recommendations and knew how to politely handle anything you threw at them. For desert we tried the CHEESECAKE BASCA (basque cheesecake) and it was delicious 5 out of 5 - portion is so good it's not big enough. We also tried the SALAME AL CIOCCOLATO, which are homemade chocolate cookies from a sausage form factor - they bake them into sausage shape with Callebaut Cocoa. Crushed Biscuits and Coffee Kalua. Then slice them like salame - you get four pieces - I don't like chocolate, and I enjoyed these, especially contrasted against the cheesecake. 5/5 for chocolate lovers. If you want a cool hip but intimate restaurant to take a date or a lunch business partner, this is a good spot. Make sure you make a res in advance - we just lucked out, but don't expect to find a table if you show up at peak hours.

GianMaria worst customer service ever

Worst Customer Service Experience Ever This was hands down the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. The manager, GianMaria el manager una Basura de persona , treated my daughter and me with complete disrespect and discrimination. We were made to feel unwelcome from the moment he approached us. What truly crossed the line was when my baby's food was asked to thrown away several times. As a parent, this was shocking, humiliating, and unacceptable. There was zero empathy, no attempt to resolve the situation, and no accountability--only attitude and arrogance from management. No family should ever be treated this way, especially when a baby is involved. Customer service was nonexistent, and management behavior was disgraceful. I will never return and strongly warn other families to avoid this place They did not offer any kids menu options, we were the ones who asked if there was something that they could adapt; they said pasta with any sauce, the manager did not offer anything for my baby, we asked the waiter. we obviously understood that we could not bring food; so we put them in boxes as they required, but the manager keep harassing; and told us that my daughter has 5 minutes (yes, 5 minutes to eat her food); he asked to leave the place. The owner should learn to be humble and human; even the best meal if is offered with disgrace and disrespect is garbage. I usually do not this type of review but last night was an absolute disaster, worst experience ever.

Cavatelli al sugo di carne (lunch special)
Becky L.

Came here with a friend on a weekday for lunch. Excited that there was a lunch special (pasta, coffee, dessert for $22). Complimentary bread standard and decent, love when it's complimentary. The staff said the most popular pastas were the rigatoni carbonara, cacio e pepe, and the cavatelli al sugo de carne. I ended up ordering the rigatoni carbonara and my friend got the cavatelli. I loved the al dente texture of both of our pastas. If I had to choose, my favorite would be the cavatelli because of the denser texture of the cavatelli and the beef was really good with it. For the coffee, my friend and I were able to choose the decaf options, I got an espresso, she got a latte--both good and great pairing with dessert. We shared the tiramisu and the fig crostada. If you like fruity tart flavors, the crostada is for you, otherwise I preferred the creamier tiramisu. Parking available close by as street parking either in front or across the street. Service was attentive. Ambience was nice and comfortable. Overall a fantastic lunch deal, definitely will consider coming back for the lunch special.

I had been wanting to come here since it opened, I've had only heard good things about it. Finally came for dinner for a friend's birthday. As we entered the restaurant, the staff greeted us and we were promptly seated. The restaurant is quaint, and decor is minimalistic and beautiful, with a large outdoor dining area. Our servers were very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and friendly. I tasted a salad made with tomato, avocado and heart of palms-- I was hooked! I couldn't stop eating it. It was delicious and I want more of it. We also tasted 3 different types of pasta which I also enjoyed very much.. The sauces were *chefs kiss * I will definitely come back for more.

Very good, classic pastas. Adequately priced, located at a street across from the Midtown mall. Service is correct.

Dev R.

Absolutely wonderful service. Incredibly fresh and flavorful pasta. Nice atmosphere both indoors and outdoors, great selection of music. All the dishes had an excellent bite. Sourdough bread was also quite fresh.

Eric S.

Pasta e Basta is the kind of spot you stumble upon and immediately wonder how you didn't know about it sooner. The food truly tastes like the home country--fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Our server, Mirko, was not only knowledgeable about the dishes but also spoke both Italian and Spanish, adding to the authentic feel. We decided to share three dishes, which was the best decision--it gave us a range of flavors from their menu. The pasta was perfectly cooked, sauces rich and balanced, and the tiramisu was an unforgettable sweet finish. The garden patio is lively and vibrant, while the indoor space feels more intimate and chic--so you can choose your vibe depending on the night. Parking is on the street (paid or, if you're lucky, near the residences on the west side). Walk-ins are welcomed, and they always have weekend specials that are worth asking about. Other diners rave about the Carbonara, Amatriciana, and Vegetarian Lasagna, and I can see why--every plate is carefully made. We also appreciated their thoughtful wine list, which even included kosher wine, a rare touch that really stood out. The service is warm and consistent--our experience was echoed by other reviewers who mentioned the staff and even the manager go out of their way to make you feel welcome. If you're in Midtown and craving real Italian pasta, this place is a must. Whether you sit on the bustling patio or inside for a cozier evening, Pasta e Basta delivers an authentic Italian dining experience that feels both special and inviting.

Three of us came here because our friend read about this place in the New York Times. The Times listed Walrus Rodeo in its 2024 top 50 best restaurants in America and 2025 top 25 best restaurants in Miami. The restaurant opened in a non-descript strip mall in Little Haiti on December 8, 2022. Just a few months later, it was listed in the Michelin Guide (February 2023) and has maintained Bib Gourmand distinction since May 2023. Its sister restaurant, Boia De (Italian), has one Michelin star and is located in the same strip. Free parking is available in the shopping center. Book reservations with Resy. We got a $100 credit for this meal using the American Express Platinum Card (benefit is up to $400 in Resy credits in $100 quarterly increments). The cuisine here is New American with Italian influences, centered on wood-fired cooking. You can see their wood-fired oven at the second bar in the back corner. The vibe is hip and indie. Here's what I tried: Cocktails: * Smokey & The Grapefruit ($16) - Savoia citrus, smoked fennel, spice. * Pho-tini ($16) - Cocchi Extra Dry, candy jalapeno, basil Pane Bianco (white bread) & ... * Bone Marrow ($24) - smoked shallot soubise, parsley salsa verde Za's (pizza) * Leeks and Geeks Za ($21) - Brussels, creme fraiche, egg yolk Starters..... * Tuna Carpaccio ($25) - miso eggplant, black olive, tomato * Trumpet Mushrooms ($20) - sundried tomato, parsnip, pecan * Charred Cabbage ($19) - ranch hollandaise, black garlic gastrique & More ... * Mustard Green Lasagna ($30) - lamb ragout, Parmesan, stracchino * Potato Gnocchi ($34) - sunchokes, black trumpet, chestnut Desserts * Sundae ($12) - oak ice cream, maple, bacon * Chocolate Cake ($12) - aged balsamic, chili, creme fraiche Everything was fantastic, unique, and well executed. Highlights included the Pho-tini (it really tasted like pho but in martini form), Bone Marrow, Leeks and Geeks Za (perfect dough; the table next to us ordered one after seeing ours), Charred Cabbage (amazing), Mustard Green Lasagna (popular dish), and Potato Gnocchi. Service was excellent. Annie P was our server. She was friendly and gave us a great bar recommendation (we're from out of town): Bar Kaiju. We ended up going to Bar Kaiju and loved it. Thanks, Annie!

Tried Nude Pita today and everything was hitting from start to finish…read more I started with the chicken gyro pita, packed with well-seasoned grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato, and onions -- super fresh and flavorful in every bite. I also tried the vegan truffle buffalo n ranch, and the tanginess from the buffalo with that truffle twist was sooo good. For the platter, I went with rice tossed in extra virgin olive oil and fresh spinach, paired with the lamb/beef -- which was incredibly tender and full of flavor. The fresh pita with tzatziki on the side just brought everything together perfectly. But honestly, the side salad stole the show for me. With cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, and a few olives tossed in a delicious dressing, everything complemented each other so well. I also had the zucchini falafel with hummus -- crispy and crunchy on the outside, while the inside stayed moist and firm. The hummus was smooth, creamy, and topped with olive oil... chef's kiss To top it off, I tried both the double smashburger and the vegan smashburger. Both were so good, but the vegan one with mushrooms and truffle sauce really stood out. The chef and staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and the food came out hot and fresh every time. Highly recommend if you're looking for something keto-friendly, vegan-friendly, and full of flavor. And don't leave without trying the lemonade Baklava and the vegan chocolate chip cookies. The matcha lavender was also creamy and earthy and paired well with the cookie It's only outdoor seating so come dressed appropriately if you plan on dining at the location but plenty of seats and umbrellas and very chic and cute ambiance
