Their burgers are served hot and are cooked until the edges are "lacy" and crispy with just the right amount of seasoning. They use potato buns and they and are so fresh and grilled on one side which gives the burger additional good flavor. The fries are cooked perfectly, served hot and lightly seasoned. And you can get some of their homemade ranch to dip them in. I know they are known for their burgers but they also have AWESOME Hot Dogs! The weiner is grilled and again, the bun is grilled on one side, just makes your tongue all kind of happy. I ordered my hot dog "All the Way" aka "Carolina Style". The chili was good, the white slaw was fresh and light, onions added a hint of sweetness, and the mustard ties all of the flavors together in a well made, high quality hot dog. I had water in my fuel So I I had to get RV assistance to pump it out cost me over $800 for the repair and then fill up with good gas ! The owner acted like he was going to reimburse cause this was on them not me ! He ghosted me weeks later never got a penny for my repair! I did report them and gas was inspected the next day by the state of NC . So guess what they found over 6 inch's of water in the tank ! The owners are not from NC they do t care about the locals ! The drive thru is slow, but I have found all Hardees to be slower than other fast food places. There is a sign on the drive thru window stating they are short staff and to be appreciative of those who showed up to work (paraphrasing). The location is quick to get off and back on the freeway, which I like. Basically the only thing on this exit is the Hardees and gas station. One note, if you are driving a full size truck, expect to grind your tires in the drive thru. There is a sharp 90 degree turn and it is just going to happen.

The French dip was easily shared by my little and me, as the portion size was large. The build-your-own-burger comes exactly as you want it, cooked to your temperature preference, but I will say the patty could have had more seasoning on it. The onion rings are amazing, and the onion adheres perfectly to the batter. One thing I hope to be able to use in the future is the Pontiac Room, which is their second story event space. They have a nice sign that gives details about the space, and I truly believe it would be good for wedding receptions, large parties, or large group gatherings. I don't know if there is an elevator to this space, so you'd need to check on that should your group have mobility concerns. We came around 8:30am and it was really busy, mainly with take out orders. It is definitely a small town restaurant that works at a small town pace. Very friendly service. The building and interior are a little run down, but the food is mighty fine! It is very home made cooking and will bring back your childhood memories of morning breakfast.
