The tea was great and so was the food, for less than $20 at that! There were lots of advertisements around on the table and cups which was a little distracting but overall it was such a good experience. I was going to take the bun off and eat it with a knife and fork, and I was looking for those yummy crispy edges on a authentic Smashburger. They didn't exist. This was a double cheeseburger with very thick patties. I think they were grass fed so kudos to them for that,, but it was incredibly dry sadly, and when I saw that the bun had been toasted with butter, I put it back on and had a couple more bites, but was super disappointed-and trust me nobody loves a great cheeseburger more than I but now I love smash burgers as well!. I also ordered the Orzo cucumber and feta salad (as well as the french fries) on the side and while it was OK, it was nothing special. French fries were just meh. After all the stellar reviews I had I was very surprised that they would make a double cheeseburger and call it a Smash-burger-I wish these restaurants would stop doing that, it's misleading, other restaurants do this too. And for the money I spent, I should've just gone to Shake shack! I DO think it's worth a second chance, and I will say everybody there was very kind on the Service level and it's an adorable, really beautiful spot and vibe ! The Chicago Dog is really good and it's a grilled dog on a grilled bun with tomatoes, pickles, jalapeños, onions and mustard and sprinkled with celery salt on top. Yummy! The fries were good but needed to be cooked a little bit longer for my liking. Not very crispy. No seasoning added. Everything was made to order and came out hot.
