Stayed at this lovely RV park for just shy of 2 months total. The front desk ladies and also the maintenance man Frank are all amazing. I was shocked to hear that we get refunded the remainder of the month if we don't finish it out. That's uncommon and a great touch! The RV park is located close to a bad area (east St. Louis) however i felt safe my entire stay and i was in the front spot right in front of Sawmill BBQ. Sure you hear ambulances throughout the day.. sure you hear road noise... sure.. but isn't that expected knowing that it is located on a busy road? Again, i stayed in the front spot so i had front row to the noise and none of that bothered me. Some people find reasons to complain on reviews about little stuff like that. It's really not that big of a deal lol. If you're picky about stuff like that then this park is not for you and you will just miss out on the opportunity to stay at a great park. Lots of travel nurses stayed here from my understanding as well. Washers ran about $2-2.50 depending on load and same for dryers. Not bad! Also don't forget your Sawmill BBQ discount for staying at this park! read more

This RV PARK IS GREAT ! , the ppl that work here have great attitudes and constantly walk the premises. Yes the community out of the park is not the greatest, but the community within the park is great . Lots of travel nurses and lots of refinery workers. Fire pits at most sites, cheap laundry , and the sawmill BBQ is great ! You willl get a discount!!, awesome to have good food on hand after a hard days work . I'd definitely stay here again , don't for get Hazel !! She's the best !! read more

Notice for price gouging. Will take any opportunity to raise prices for any reason despite not being in contract. Will not honor 30 day notice for price increases, will increase prices for long term stays overnight and lock you in for 30days unless you pick up a leave next day. Wanted to add additional fees for electricity use on top of metered fees not in the contract. Contact the city and have any fees or prices increases but included in the contract in writing. read more

The price fits the Campground. We enjoyed our stay. The pool is clean and has a shaded area for those who want to be in the pool/pool area but not in the sun. The staff are friendly and professional. The on-site restaurant food is great. The location of campground is wonderful if you want to visit St. Louis, MO without the hassle and or prices of staying in St. Lous. The lots are gravel and fairly level. Some grass and concrete pads for picnic table. This campground met my needs. I enjoyed my weekend stay here.​ read more

Cahokia RV Parque - RV Rental Near Me - East Saint Louis, Illinois

I usually use my camper as more of a mobile hotel while traveling- it's a place to stay (usually with my dogs) while I am doing something during the day. So I booked a site here for a couple nights so I could spend at least one day in St Louis visiting the Gateway Arch and do the riverboat cruise. Check-in was easy. Since they sent me the site number in advance, I just went straight to my site. It wasn't until I got a phone call a few hours after my arrival, from the office letting me know that my registration info would be in the night check-in box, that I realized I was supposed to check-in at the front office. They have a lot of sites and it's a busy RV park. While some campers are obviously there for the long-term, people are coming and going every day. They are conveniently located to St Louis, about a 15 minute drive to the stadiums and/or the Gateway Arch NP and surrounding historical area. They also advertise that they run a shuttle to and from downtown. There is also a decent-sized grassy area that is great for walking dogs. The park has signs about pooper scooping after your pet (or risk a non-refundable eviction) and the signs have pooper scoop bags available for use, and also trash cans for convenient, immediate disposal. This was probably my favorite thing about the park! My only complaint was that wifi was impossible. Although my campsite wasn't far from the office, I ended up taking my laptop to the laundry room and sat there to use the wifi to get some stuff done (my phone was nearly dead so I couldn't just hotspot from my camper). Overall I was satisfied with the place because it met my basic needs. read more

We chose this spot because it was close to the Arch. We paid $61.50 with our Good Sam discount for a one night stay. The drive with our RV to the Arch was quick and easy, with free parking for buses at the Arch for our RV. That was the good part. The site we were given at Cahokia was nothing more than a spot in a crowded parking lot, very close to others. Gravel and pavement all around. We didn't use the sewage disposal out of consideration for our neighbor's water supply, which were very close together. No wifi in the park. Convenience to St. Louis is the only positive here. We had expected to use the shuttle to go the Arch, but the shuttle did not operate on Saturday even though their ad said it did. The price seemed steep for what the park was like. read more

Cahokia RV Parque is the first place my wife and I moved to, when we both retired, and were going to sell our house, to become full-time RVers. It's proximity to St. Louis was perfect for our needs. It's not the fanciest RV park around, but the people there are the BEST! Lisa, in the office, was the kindest and most helpful of all. She never made us feel stupid, because of what we didn't know, as brand new RV lifers. She was terrific at explaining things without judgement. Kyle and Ben(the owners) were always helpful, and went out of their way to assist us, when we had a couple of minor problems, especially in the winter. The showerhouse is very clean, the pool is immaculate, and the WI-FI WORKS consistently! Don't sell this little park short. They're good people, who genuinely care about others, unlike many parks that ONLY want to take your money, and offer no REAL hospitality. We stayed there September-March of 2018-2019, and would go back in a heartbeat! read more

There hasn't been a review left for Cahokia in a long time so I figured I'd leave one as we are wrapping up our stay here. If you're looking for a well-run, safe, clean, family friendly RV park this is it. It is only 10-15 minutes from downtown St. Louis which is HUGE with the prices of gas currently. It's overall pretty quiet. It's off of a main road so you do hear some noise, nothing major. Nice playground for kids and a heated pool. read more

The redeeming qualities of this RV Parque are the proximity to St. Louis and the 5 star Sawmill BBQ restaurant on site. Unfortunately, when the wind blows from the north, there are obnoxious smells from the factories nearby. We booked a full service site and it was rough: no sanitary hookup, no picnic table, water spigot was barely 3" above a muddy area and, litter and dog poop scattered about. We certainly left it cleaner than we found it. Other sites seemed better but, if this was all that was available, we should of been given a heads up before they booked it , at full price. read more

So first time here. I chose it because I needed affordable tent site on my way up north. First off Apple direction were spot on. The site, a patch of grass, fire ring and picnic table. (Perfect)So no unusual wear and tear on my kit. You do not have some glorious view but I am not here for that besides this place is really about proximity so keep reading about the shuttle. Pool looked fun but I was beat. Laundry was reasonable but make sure you bring liquid soap. No powder or crystals ( not sure on Pods.) 2.50w/2.00d The whole place was clean and seemed well run. Showers are combination not coin driven, I have been burned by this so I asked. Believe me a plus. I missed the restaurant, looked great but closed at 8. Met a sweet family traveling who shared some grilled chicken, touched my heart. Local noises did drop off a lot after 10pm. They offer a very reasonable round trip shuttle to St Louis. Looked like 10/20 depending on locations and a small up-charge depending on number of party. Not a big deal as it is round trip. All in All clean, looked well managed and located close to some great sites. Lots of happy campers were in my view. WiFi worked but it is for all, so slow service makes sense but really get your faces out of the screens and live like we did in the 1990! Anyways I am heading to the rack. All quite is at 10 and so far lots of respectful campers. That is what really make anyplace worth a stay so stay classy Yelpers! Quick update: super clear showers and bathrooms I was leaving and I believe I met the owner and without sounding too sappy, super nice and helpful with an unexpected need. Our first RV experience and they did a great job! Read the other reviews here and I can tell you they listened. The wifi was very fast! I travel with two gamers so it is critical to have great wifi available. It was. Sites were clean and host is very helpful. Cannot wait for our next trip! I liked that it was clean, quiet, has fairly level gravel pads, and a nice pool and playground area. Very friendly staff. Wish I had known about the shuttle. The reason for not giving 5 is the sites are very close together. The water was toward the front of the site and needed two hoses. Although it was difficult to navigate, the below ground water spigot is good idea for when it freezes. read more

Before you decide to book here, ask yourself "How much do I love trains?" If your answer is anything less than "I think about them constantly and every second that I cant hear their whistles blowing is a second wasted" then maybe this place isn't for you. I decided to camp here for a little trip to St. Louis primarily because of the cost and proximity to the city. And for that decision I was rewarded with lullabies of train whistles and highway honking. Granted, I was staying in a tent, but it's so close to the train tracks and highway that I can't imagine the sound is much better inside an RV. Two stars because the amenities and people are nice but at the end of the day what good is a campground if you can't sleep there? read more

Awesome staff, good size sites, clean and updated bathhouses, playground and pool on site. It's a little hidden gem located a few miles away from downtown making any vacation to St.Louis very convenient. They offer daily, weekly, and monthly sites for a very fair price for the area. read more

This park is very close to all of the sights in St. Louis, Missouri although it's in Illinois. It is not in the greatest neighborhood, but the park itself is very nice and has good amenities. It's pet friendly, family friendly, and we were not concerned for our safety. The 30 amp sites are a tight fit and the wifi is so WEAK, otherwise would've been a 4 star rating. We were running our A/C the whole time (6 days) and didn't hear the traffic or train in our camper. The bathrooms are clean, the laundry facilities are good, and the employees are very pleasant. There are a few permanent residents but they presented no problem at all. We would definitely stay here again! They've got great prices and a POOL! read more

We had a last minute reservation for a same night stay and they were so helpful at getting us in! The showers and laundry facilities were clean and easy to use. There is a lot of traffic/train noise but only noticed it during the morning commute (which isn't their fault anyways). No RV Park without usable wifi gets more than one star from us. The technology is here, there is nothing to stop any Park from investing in doing wifi properly. For some users, such as ourselves, wifi is the single most important feature in any RV Park. Also most sites are small (dirt/gravel) and most sites back up to one another. Almost the whole park is long term tenets, fast driving tenets too. If you are looking for a park where you can sit outside your rv and relax... look somewhere else. The good side: If you plan to visit St. Louis there is not any other place closer than Cahokia RV Parque, and if you look at the convenience of staying close to the city then this place receives 5 stars. We left one day early because of the wifi. We were not reimbursed! Never again! read more

Let me just say that although this part looks a little rundown they're in the process of upgrading and for what we needed for the night it was perfect. Kyle who is one of the owners also runs a shuttle that for a nominal fee got us to the arch and back and he is extremely friendly. Park was full with people working a project nearby so no pull thrus as they had back to back 5th wheels, occasional trains throughout night, but the rv next to us didn't pick up their doggy mess which set the tone when we stepped into it setting up our rv. Even though i was quoted one price, upon checkin they tried to charge $3 extra per day for 5 year old grandson, which they took off when we referenced quote. Park is not in desirable neighborhood as its next to factories with fumes. We cut our stay short so we could move on to our next stop. I'd much prefer to stay in empty casino parking lot. Would not recommend unless they do upgrades. read more

Stayed at this park for two days. Used it as a stopover and a base to explore St Louis. Truly is only five minutes from the Arch. People in the office were very friendly. We are traveling with young kids ( 3 boys under the age of six). While they have a pool, not the type of park I would allow my kids to run around in. It's one of those RV parks that you park and sleep in, but that's about it. Didn't try the BBQ restaurant on site, went to a highly recommended local place instead. But it is a nice plus to have a place to eat on site. Spaces are a bit tight. And I don't like being parked back to back in the 50 amp sites. I would stay here again as long as I planned to spend little to no time in my RV. Depending what's important to you; close to city and attractions or nice campgrounds, this place will either work or avoid it totally. read more

First time staying here with my family and friends, Kyle & Allison made us feel right at home. We have been camping for 5 years and their hospitality was by far the best anyone could ask for. The campground is very clean, along with the restrooms, and swimming pool. The restaurant on property has real good food along with that friendly hospitality along with quick service. I cannot thank them enough for our wonderful stay, I would definitely recommend this campground to everyone passing through needing a place to rest their heads, or even to stop and eat at the restaurant. We will definitely be back in the future. P.S. This is from the crazy group of 15 from Chicago, I will somehow figure out how to get a Portillo's cake shake to you Kyle. I've lived here for about five months and so far I have no complaints. The staff is very nice as well as the people here. My neighbors are very community oriented. I get offered meals all the time and have been greeted with a great deal of hospitality. The facilities are really nice and always clean. They have a laundry room, a pool, bathrooms, showers and internet. Also has a nice little bbq restaurant with prompt and friendly service. It's located next to the St Louis ark and right by the city witch is nice as well. I would recommend this park to families, couples or singles. read more

We are new to rv-ing so we don't have much to compare this place to but our stay was pleasant. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are clean. The laundry facility has updated machines. The pool is very nice. The park is clean overall but there are a few long-term campers in the park that give it a bit of a bad vibe. Came in after hours about 9pm for just the night and directions to our site were where we expected them to be. Unfortunately someone was in our campsite so we chose another that did not have sewer. We couldn't tell until we parked because there is no lighting past the office. The water in the back is still and a huge mosquito pond. Used our fire extinguisher when another camper had a fire and the office does not sell them to replace ours. That would be a handy item to have for sale. Packed and a bit noisy but fine for the night. read more

My sister and I stayed two nights in a camper van. The park was well cared for although there was a lot of standing water everywhere due to recent flooding of the Mississippi River. Our site was relatively dry (fortunately it was gravel and not mud!). The picnic tables were on concrete, which helped immensely. The shower/restroom facilities were clean although a bit dated. The staff were all terrific and very helpful with giving recommendations for restaurants and travel routes. There was bridgework on I-255 and a lot of traffic delays in the area. We used the shuttle service to take us to dinner on The Hill in St. Louis and the driver was very gracious despite the frustrating traffic back-up going into St. Louis. There are laundry facilities on site which we did not use. There is also a BBQ restaurant on site. We did not eat there this trip but it seemed to be doing a pretty good business. We would stay here again when visiting the St. Louis area and hopefully it will be much drier! read more

Fantastic stay at Cahokia RV Parque! Not only are they close to everything in St. Louis, they have a BBQ restaurant on the premises. It is reasonably priced and has excellent food. We also found the church across the street to be warm and welcoming to tourists like us. They even gave us a tour of the log cabin church! The only drawback is lack of internet access at my particular site; although it is available in the main building near the pool. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend staying here. I plan to do it again soon! read more
