If we could give this place more stars we would! The restaurant is clean, smells amazing from the parking lot, and even better when you get inside. They have a wide selection of kolaches and donuts. The folks making the food always have smiles for the customers, and Mimi, who works the front counter, is wonderful. She does her utmost to make sure your order is right. I know in TX, there are a million donut places, but I'm telling y'all, this is the best one in Wylie for sure. Their donuts are perfectly fried (not too greasy and perfectly golden). Their staff is always so sweet and welcoming. I love their variety and that they really go out of their way to make their customers experience fantastic. This is my go to donut shop. Far better than any others I have been to and tried. The Kalaches are the best part though!! Every Friday I try and stop by before work for a spicy jalapeño kalache and 2 donuts plus a milk! I keep recommending this place to my coworkers and friends. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for a while just to see what it's all about. I called before hand to see if they had any apple fritters and they said they would make some fresh for me if I stopped by shortly. When I got there they actually had some left even thought they went out of their way to make fresh fritters for our family. Super nice staff. Prices didn't seem any different then your normal donut shop. The fritters were huge and had real pieces of apples in them. We will def be back. read more

Very rarely do I find myself up before 6AM on a Saturday. But when I do, and I was this past Saturday, I usually crave something fiercely sweet and absolutely unhealthy for me! I think it has a lot to do with growing up eating sugary cereals while watching Saturday morning cartoons, but I digress. My first instinct was to hit up Yelp and I'm SO glad that I did! My eyes gravitated to one review that talked about the Boudin Kolaches and I was immediately sold! The regular kolaches have a great flavor, perfect balance of savory (sausage) and sweet (the roll). The donuts holes were a great size; not small/bite size, but large and fluffy with a good balance of glaze and donut. And the Boudin Kolache lived up to the hype. Just ate at Cajun donuts in Wylie. It is out of this world, but I have had in the area.

Went to the new location in Garland. Everything was yummy. Had some interesting looking breakfast sandwiches but I did not get one. asked for beignets and was disappointed that I had to get 6 in a "set". Should think about offering a smaller quantity. We love Cajun Donuts so much that we drive 45 minutes, past all the mediocre donut places, just to come here! They are that good. They're seriously the best donuts I've ever had, and the people who work there are super friendly. They also have some interesting donuts I've never seen anywhere else. For instance, they have a long, rectangular glazed donut with maple frosting, topped with thick slices of bacon, then glazed over the bacon. It looks and sounds weird, but it's surprisingly very good! The donuts are never doughy or greasy; they're light and bready. The cake donuts are moist and dense. They always have my favorite flavors, even later in the morning, whereas most places are always sold out of everything except glazed by 9 AM. They're a little pricier than other places, but the quality of the donuts are well worth the extra expense and far superior to 99% of most donut places. I'll also add that I typically eat very healthfully, and most donuts make me feel like total crap on the rare occasion that I eat them, but the donuts at Cajun never make me feel bad, because they are of a higher quality. This place is definitely a gem! read more

I have been to this donut shop three or four times now since they opened in Wylie, and I will not go to another shop. I've had the beignets, donut holes, and sausage & bacon croissant rolls and the creme filled long johns. Let me begin by saying that the croissant was absolutely the lightest and flakiest croissant I have ever had. The sausage is good, and the bacon is better. They were delicious. the beignet was good - you'd have to be at cafe du monde for better. As we were leaving on our first visit they gifted us with a couple of their cinnamon donut holes that they warmed up for us, and after having that, I'm just not sure I can go back to cold heartless donut holes ever again. I have read reviews on other sites that complained about the prices not being clear, or the menu board not being visible, and that is simply not true. The proprietor drops the beignets fresh to order, so it's difficult to wait until you get home to try one. read more

I would NEVER go here again. I would not recommend this place to any of my friends or family. We have passed this donut place several times since it opened and decided to give it a try. We walked in and the young girl behind the counter actually sighed with annoyance that she had a customer. We looked at their choices and we told her our order, she didn't greet us, she didn't say one word to us. We ordered a beignet since that is one of the things they are known for. We ate our donuts and they were average, not spectacular but not bad either. I was so excited to try the beignet but it was so heavy and greasy that my husband and I literally took a couple bites and then threw it away (and we hate wasting food) When we left, we were not thanked or anything. We were the only ones in the store and the customer service was probably the worst I have ever experienced in a place of business. Even if the donuts had been amazing, the girl behind the counter would keep me away as I would rather go elsewhere where the staff is kind and thankful for the business not visibly annoyed. read more
