I was just thinking...I'm hungry for some BBQ and BOOM! Jeff's was right there! They have a nice picnic table area that's shaded. I ordered meats only, 1lb chopped brisket and 1lb sausage. Smells amazing! Tastes great! Fast service!

    Today's special (02/24/24)

Highly recommend! Awesome customer service! The brisket burgers were amazing! I will definitely bring family and friends next time!

I'm telling ya, "Find this BBQ spot!" Unassuming, blink and you'll miss it, sooo worth the stop. The Pulled Pork was moist and tender; mouth watering. The beans were so simple that I hv no idea how they packed so much flavor. I love my BBQ and now I'm putting (Jeff's BBQ) at the top of my list. It's really that good!

I decided to try Jeff's BBQ this weekend after several reviews noted it was pretty good and simply put in a nutshell, I believe this is the best BBQ in the Lavon/ Copeville area which is why I am giving it an above average rating of 4 stars. As I walked up to the counter, I was greeted by a young, nice man (probably 10-13 years old) and he took my order. I ordered the rib plate special ($10) and also 1/2 pound of brisket ($10) so the total for the meal was $20.00. Hindsight, I wish I was asked if I wanted point or flat because I have my preference. As someone who loves to smoke their own ribs and brisket, I am very critical about BBQ because I usually only order when I don't have the time to smoke. The ribs were definitely above average (4 ribs came in the special). They had a good bite to them and plenty of meat on the bone. The membrane was left on the backside which is no issue with me as long as they are smoke properly. The brisket was actually a little dry as if it had over cooked or sitting under a heat lamp but it was still good and better than a couple other places nearby. The BBQ sauce served was slightly above average. IMO, it was a little lite on the BBQ/ smokey flavor but it was good enough to pour over the ribs and brisket. The sides I chose were the beans and the pasta salad. The BBQ beans were pretty good. They tasted as if they were made from scratch and not from a can and the pasta salad was average. Overall, Jeff's BBQ is good enough to get my business again if I am craving BBQ and don't want to travel far.

Our favorite Italian food in this area. Jokingly, my personal goal is to try one of everything on the menu. I've not been disappointed yet.

Really good brisket and turkey! Not sure what they do to their bbq sauce, but it is great.

Here's a polished review based on your Facebook post:…read more Smoak Town BBQ is everything that makes Texas barbecue special. From the moment I arrived, I could tell this place was something different. Even on a 100-degree day, the covered seating area with cooling fans was full of locals who couldn't stop talking about the great barbecue here. Smoak Town isn't just serving incredible food; it's built on family, hard work, faith, and a genuine love for barbecue. One of the highlights of my visit was spending time talking with Rob, the pitmaster's father, and hearing the story of how Cameron turned a passion for backyard barbecue into an award-winning business after success on the competition circuit...and encouragement from dad. The food was outstanding across the board. The brisket was perfectly smoked and so tender it fell apart with a fork. The beer-basted turkey was unbelievably moist, the pork belly burnt ends were meaty and flavorful, and the jalapeño-cheese sausage had just the right amount of kick. The brisket baked beans were some of the best I've had anywhere. What really set Smoak Town apart, though, was the hospitality. After I got home, I received a personalized text thanking me for stopping by and letting me know I was welcome back anytime--as family. That simple gesture perfectly captured what Texas barbecue is all about. If you're looking for authentic Texas barbecue that's served with heart, Smoak Town BBQ absolutely deserves a spot on your must-visit list. Great food, great people, and true Texas hospitality. I'll definitely be back.

The Texas barbecue hunt will take you anywhere. A food truck park in Fate, Texas was my next stop…read moreto try Smoak Town. I had a chance last October while I was in Rockwall for a wedding to try it, but because the wedding was a top priority (whatever!!!), it didn't happen. Yesterday was my chance. Inside this food park was a vast sea of options, but my eyes were set on the back left where Smoak Town laid. They have a huge tent with plenty of tables to sit at under the shade and the space is wrapped in their wood, giving the joint an oak log fence around the food truck. By the time I got there a little past 1:30, they were out of sausage and mac and cheese. Sad! Other than that, my order was simple: brisket, pork ribs, pork belly burnt ends, and a side of their brew brisket beans. The brisket was a thick slice that was moist and flavorful. I love those chunky slabs of brisket. There is just something about a thicker cut that knocks skinnier cuts out of the park. The pork ribs were juicy and tender. I rarely get pork belly burnt ends over a sausage, but they are always a treat like they were here. Just a little taste of heaven. The beans were savory, hearty, and well seasoned. I was pretty impressed by them as well. The team working was super conversational and friendly. The guy in front of me was having his first taste of Texas barbecue, and they were being super helpful making sure he got a true, flavorful experience. This spot feels hidden but is worth the trip. There were quite a few people hanging around enjoying the excellent barbecue. Worth the pit stop and worth the drive if you live anywhere in the DFW metro. It was simply fate (GET IT???) to try Smoak Town. RIYL: The quieter barbecue spots that pack the same punch
