Very nice people!! But they don't add enough syrup/flavoring :(( most of my snow cone just tasted like crushed ice alone.. the very top was the only flavorful part.. they also don't have blue Hawaiian so I got the blue coconut instead and added sweet cream. Couldn't really taste or see the sweet cream... overall, they would get 5 stars from me if they would soak up the ice better with flavors! My mouth didn't even turn blue hardly :/ read more

They're changed ownership in the last two or three years. I am no shave ice expert, but I LOVE a few things about Cajun Sno: The fact that families drive over in golfs carts as a family tradition during the summer The super friendly owner and his girlfriend They have several CLEAR flavors (I know sno cones are not a health food, I know that I'm getting way too much sugar, but the fact that I can avoid artificial colors and still choose from about 10 different syrups makes me happy!) The homemade ice cream flavor :) The prices are so low--I can get my fill of sugary goodness for $2 Some things I don't love: There are actually too many flavors for my indecisive self. There will undoubtedly be a mob of young children running around burning off their sugar high in the parking lot. I am always worried I will hit a kid pulling in or out of the parking lot. I grew up in New Orleans, the home of snow-balls. When I moved to Little Rock I really missed cooling off on a hot day with a son-ball from Williams(Plum Street), then I discovered Cajun Sno! My heart and tummy reveled! I've taken family and friends there whenever they come to town. It's the first thing I get asked, "Is Cajun Son open. The ice as well as the flavors are unique from all other "shaved ice" stands in Little Rock. Now if I could find a true New Orleans Roast Beef po-boy here. read more

I've been going to Cajun Sno for as long as I can remember, probably 20 years or more, since before it moved to Hillcrest. It was one of the few places my friends and I could walk to before we could drive, and it's still my very favorite. My preferences have changed a little over the years: an early favorite was hawaiian (A blend of cherry and strawberry, but leaning toward strawberry; it was probably just strawberry, actually?). As an older teenager, I got self-conscious about spilling on my clothes and having a brightly colored tongue, so I began choosing the "clearly" flavors (fruit flavors without the dye). During college, when I was experimenting heavily with irony, I would get the ninja turtle flavor but choose a different turtle each time. Later on, I discovered a pink flavor called nectar that tastes like fresh honeysuckle, and soon learned that it was even better with cream. This summer, my favorite was a blend of chocolate and coconut with cream and, upon the proprietor's suggestion, topped with sweetened condensed milk. The staff is friendly, the portions are beyond generous, and the prices haven't changed much in two decades. A+++++ would eat all the sno cones again. read more

I've been a fan of crushed ice desserts since snowcones in 1960. There's been progress, some of it good. In the past 15 years, Little Rock has had a variety of "sno" shacks pop up, and they've been okay. Of the choices, Cajun Sno has always been my favorite. These last couple of seasons, though, have seen a major upwards trend in Kavanaugh Cajun Sno's flavor and quality. The crushed ice is at once delicate and dense, the authentic flavors saturate each bite, and the little extras (sweetened milk) give it a "Mom's Snow Ice Cream" punch that takes you back to a very good part of childhood. The guy behind the counter always has a smile and wants to please his customers. Cajun Sno on Kavanaugh gets all five stars, and I will be returning regularly! read more
