One of the best meals we had in Baltimore…read more We ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, the Maryland Crab Soup, and the Seafood Hot Combo. The crab cake absolutely lived up to its reputation--packed with large, sweet pieces of crab meat and very little filler. It was fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly light. I finally understood why Maryland is so proud of its crab cakes. The Maryland Crab Soup was hearty and comforting, with plenty of vegetables and crab flavor. The Seafood Combo was generous and perfect for sharing after a long day of exploring the city. The restaurant was busy but well organized, and the staff were friendly and efficient. The atmosphere felt lively without being overwhelming. After lunch, we took a short walk to Fells Point and spent the afternoon exploring the neighborhood, which made it a perfect Baltimore experience. If you're visiting Baltimore for the first time and want to try an authentic Maryland crab cake, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

In the past we've had a Gimlet here, so we asked and they made us one while we waited, even though it wasn't featured on their online menu. Basically it's a pleasant gin with bright lime juice and probably simple syrup. Very refreshing, and served chilled with a slice of lime in an intricately-etched Nick & Nora coupe. I ordered a freshly-fried $16 Catfish Po' Boy, with lettuce and tomato and a little very lightly-spicy mayo-butter sauce on fresh French Bread. It's a generous enough sandwich that I ate it in two goes, and that bread really crisped-up beautifully flakey! Because we cannot resist, we also got an order of fresh-made deep-fried beignets, little randomly-shaped crispy pastry-dough treats in a sneezeable amount of powdered sugar. It came with chocolate dipping sauce, which was a fun addition. The food and drink were delightful, as were the staff.

Was great that you didn't have to sit at the bar to order it. We sat inside by the window and it was a great breeze. Chargrilled oysters and crawfish bread was very good. I order the seafood platter. Calamari and shrimp were fried a little hard for my liking. Catfish was more like bites instead of a filet. My friend got the crab cakes but said there was a lot of filler. There was a convenience fee added to my check but have no idea what that was for. Also, they automatically add 19% gratuity to the bill. Overall I would revisit to try some other things on the menu.

She was so friendly and made my experience a great one. The margarita flight she made was strong and delicious. I ordered from the 3 course restaurant week menu, which had a nice variety of choices for each course. I chose bayou rolls, steak with mashed potatoes and greens (it came with broccolini but I loathe the bitterness of broccolini so I was able to sub for greens), and white chocolate bread pudding. The bayou rolls were slightly salty but they were still good. My steak was overcooked but I don't believe in sending meals back. The bartender brought me some melted garlic butter without me asking and said, "I believe it was supposed to come with a glaze but they ran out. I figured you would like the garlic butter instead." I really appreciated her because it did help me to eat that dry steak. The white chocolate bread pudding was to die for!!! It was so good and warm and the ice cream was the cherry on top. I returned a month later because they were doing a surprise deals. At the conclusion of my last visit, I was given a sealed envelope to open at my next visit to see what my surprise was. I was surprised with a free cocktail. I got the Blackberry French. It was good but not very strong. I also got charbroiled oysters and a catfish sandwich. Both were great although my fries that came with the sandwich were a little soggy. The service at this visit was good as well. I will definitely be back soon for happy hour.

It was 3 of us and we were able to get seated right away. The restaurant itself is cutely designed and very spacious. I always love the open duct look, and the area with the grass wall is a cute photo op. The menu has a lot of options from small plates to entrees. I chose the Cajun salmon recommended by our waiter Shaccari. I had it with the Mac and cheese and collard greens with corn bread. I have no complaints about any of it! The salmon was cooked to perfection! Loved the cork screw noodles in the Mac and the greens were A1. My friends said they could've been more tender but they were perfect to me! I do like my vegetables with a little bite tho. And I don't know what kind of honey they use on the corn bread but babyyy SO GOOD ! Our waiter Shaccari was excellent. He had plenty of recommendations, was funny and sweet. Everything came out quick but still fresh! I got their fresh squeezed blueberry lemonade to go, and that was also really good. I will definitely be back whenever I am in the MD area! Some of the other locations have mixed reviews from what I have seen but Baltimore is it!

I've been giving out a lot of 5 stars recently, but this is a place that really deserves it. It's a must visit. It'd been many moons since I had escargot, so I got it. Despite one cooked snail being basically impossible to scrape out and my fine motor dexterity isn't great, it was delightful. My wife loved her seafood stew. Our shared side of the grilled Zucchini (definitely enough to share) was also a highlight. We've been raving about our fried clam sandwich and lobster roll since. Both were amazing; my wife said it was the best lobster roll she's had (we've never been to maine or anywhere known for lobster). The dessert passion fruit pie was a great way to end, also shared, but the crust was a little too thick and the dollop on top did kind of over power the curd. The birthday sprinkles (it wasnt either of our birthdays) were cute. We will be back. Especially to try the raw bar (We're pregnant and didnt want to risk it).

The ambience is very cute - there are multiple floors to the restaurant so one given area doesn't feel overly crowded. The cocktail menu has some fun and unique options and the food menu has something for everyone! We got the mussels to start, and honestly I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture. But the sauce was delicious and I loved the potatoes that came with it. The mussels themselves were very large too! For my main I got the hake, which was so tender and flavorful. It was a generous portion and I was stuffed, but we kept seeing other people order the coffee cake and couldn't help ourselves. I'm so glad we got it, because I'm not normally huge into coffee cake, but this was so delicious that we finished it all! Our server had great recommendations and was patient as we took a long time deciding what to order. I can't wait to come back!

Unfortunately, my overall experience was disappointing. Starting with the drinks, our group ordered lemon drops, smoked old fashioneds, vodka sodas, and an espresso martini. The lemon drops tasted like they were made with lime instead of lemon, the vodka soda was very weak, and the espresso martini lacked flavor and strength--we ended up ordering an extra shot just to make it drinkable. As for the food, it was a mixed bag. The Brussels sprouts were cold, stale, and easily the biggest disappointment of the meal. The honey Old Bay wings were decent, around a 7/10, with good flavor. The catfish nuggets arrived cold, and the fries that came with them were cold as well. The fish tacos were actually the highlight of the meal--they were flavorful and well-prepared, although they could have used a sauce to bring everything together. The burger was solid, about an 8/10, but the fries had an unusual seasoning that didn't pair well with them. The quesadillas were also underwhelming and lacked flavor. The prices felt excessive considering the quality of the food and drinks. One thing to keep in mind is that there's a noticeable difference between the cash price and the card price, so be prepared if you're paying with a card. Overall, I left disappointed. Between the weak drinks, inconsistent food quality, and high prices, this wasn't an experience I'd recommend, and I don't see myself returning.
