Aaron and Sheena were terrific from the tasting to the post-wedding dialogue. Aaron was very friendly, re-assuring, and helpful at the tasting (even recommending the florist we ended up using). Sheena prepared amazing food, much of which we chose to serve during the reception. At the reception itself, Aaron and his staff were exceptional. The guests were treated quite well and never had to wait long for food or a drink. Everyone commented on how amazing the food was and our special-order vegan friends were amazed that they got a delicious, full meal as they are used to eating undressed salads at most events. The party was still in full swing when they cleaned up to go and they were so unobtrusive and professional. We ended up keeping the bartender a couple hours extra because he was so good! Nothing in the contract was delivered and we paid 4000.00 dollars for garbage we threw out. The food was full of salt, not cooked enough (raw chicken, raw greens, etc.), over cooked (burned dressing, burned ham, overcooked vegetables that were to have been fried corn and fried squash), stove top stuffing burned, watery potato salad, etc. I am willing to show anyone the photos of the dog food presented that we flushed down the toilet and garbage disposal, and sent back to her by her staff. The food was also delivered late and my family was completely disappointed and those that ate some of the food became ill. I would not have served this food to a stray dog.....beware. From our first meeting there the staff was amazing from helping with accommodations to every detail in helping to make our day about us. Even though I know we were not the only couple getting married there it felt like we were. They made us feel so special. After we booked our day, they invited us to their wedding extravaganza. We were able to taste the food, meet the DJ, see the flowers and meet the staff. It was so great to be able to do this and meet the vendors before our wedding. They took so much stress off of us the week of our wedding. Our planner helped with our rehearsal at the church and was at the church to greet us the day of our wedding. They had refreshments for us and our bridal party waiting before the ceremony. They even helped direct our guests from the church to the Hazlehurst House. Once we arrived for the reception they had food and drinks waiting for the bridal before and after pictures. They made us feel so special. The DJ was amazing at introducing us to getting everyone on the dance floor. The food was amazing!! All of our guests raved about the food, staff, DJ, planner, flowers. My mom loved that she only had to carry her shoes to the car. The staff loaded all the gifts for her...so thoughtful and sweet. In this day and age it's a rare find. Even if their food wasn't as good as it was, all of their servers would be bringing up the slack. Girls and the guy...talked, smiled and genuinely looked like they cared about the places success! Salad was standard, but all of the ingredients were fresh and the ranch dressing was house made. I ended up opt-ing for the Alabama white sauce instead because the heat level was better. There wasn't much smoke on the chicken...that would be my only "negative" feedback-maybe that's the point or maybe they are using electric smokers? Wings: Were lightly fried and lightly tossed in sauce of my choice, which was the mesquite bbq...zero complaints on the taste and consistency of the wings. Neither over nor undercooked, they were perfect. Brisket Plate: Brisket was super tender and more on the roasted side of the spectrum. I would imagine they smoke and then add it into liquid to keep it from drying out waiting on table service. The bark is lost because of the liquid factor and what smoke there might have been is muted, much like the chicken. Okra was crispy and the Cole slaw was basic-but had enough Mayo for it to pass as slaw! Baked Potato: Standard set up. The potato wasn't dried out, which was nice. Pulled pork was tender...copy and paste the smoke flavor, written above. Grilled Cheese....it was grilled and had cheese. Fries were hot and crispy. We will surely be back!

One other issue I did not notice until I got home it seems I was charged a small service fee what for I have no clue what was worse I also was charged a 25% tip without my approval yes it was my fault for not being observant something I will be on the next visit I say this to let you know that even though they have excellent food (exemption the stew) be aware and inspect your receipt. Now this could have been an accident by the cashier and if anyone has or has not experienced this please let me know. Again great food and I hope it was an accident. PS I am a generous tipper but I do so case by case and I can't see tipping 25% for walk up counter service.
