Barnstormers is such a cool and unique dining experience! Located at the Peachstate Aerodrome. It has an awesome aviation vibe that you won't find anywhere else. We sat outside, and the view of private planes taking off and landing made the evening feel extra special. We came for dinner and everything was excellent. I ordered the 6 oz filet, and it was cooked perfectly--tender, flavorful, and exactly as ordered. The service was outstanding as well: friendly, attentive, and timely. We saw flyers for upcoming cover bands that I hope to enjoy on a future visit. If you're looking for great food paired with a one-of-a-kind atmosphere, Barnstormers is absolutely worth a visit! read more

Working nearby, didn't know there was a close place to eat, till saw bunch folks eating outside, so i headed over. Very nondescript type eatery, everybody appeared as local regulars. The owner greeted and seated me, while I put in a to-go order. Staff looked like close relatives or friends. Very homey and down to earth. Tasty eggs and potatoes were exactly what ud expect. Packed eatery, v busy. No competition in the immediate area. Food was mediocre at best. Lacked seasoning...some things were way over done. Had fried chicken livers, fried shrimp, fettuccine Alfredo, some heart attack hamburger...(bacon, egg, cheese, burger. Burger was the only rave review. Had onion rings, hush puppies and fries...and a salad as sides. The side salad was small but very good! Everything else was definitely not worth the the price. They definitely need to work on their recipes. Took for ever for food to come. But servers were polite and attentive. Ambience was nice - sat on patio and a few airplanes took off and landed. Definitely the only thing that would get me to go back was the ambiance! Cool aviation history display as you walk in. Great place to watch Airplanes land and take off! .Very nice and clean. However, the Burgers are horrible. Looked like warmed up frozen hockey pucks. Luke warm and dry. Too bad they can't serve a good Burger. The service and ambiance is fantastic. Never trying another Burger at this place. Great Onion Rings and fried Cauliflower! We had finished a late-morning session of peach-picking at a nearby orchard and were hungry. We had seen this place before (a couple of years ago) and I thought it would be a good candidate for lunch. We arrived after 11:30 a.m. The 'lobby' area leading to the hostess stand is a sort of museum dedicated to the original Atlanta airport (circa 1940's). We did not get to linger long there. We were seated and or order went in promptly. However, this was apparently some sort of 'fly-in Saturday' affair. There were a lot of planes parked out on the grass and a lot of people already in the restaurant. More people arrived after we did. It was quite busy! Service was a bit slow as a result, but not bad. We waited and eventually got our food (I got a BLT, which was pretty good; I think my wife got a sandwich also? The house-made chips were good!). After we ate, we were able to tour the parked planes outside, which was also interesting. I was definitely satisfied with lunch here. read more

My wife and I visited this restaurant last Saturday with our 5-year old grandson to have lunch and watch airplanes. I think I enjoyed watching the planes more than my grandson...that's to be expected from a former pilot who hasn't flown in over four decades, but I digress. The service by our waitress Brittany was excellent, as was the food (my wife heard the onion rings were good, and the ones we ordered proved to be some of the best I've ever had along with the dipping sauce provided). Our grandson's kid order of grilled cheese looked well-prepared. The only complaint would be it looked very thin on the cheese. But he filled up on the fries anyway! The burgers my wife and I ordered were cooked to requested doneness, and were on the generous side. Definitely felt we got our money's worth. We ordered coffee and an order of the 6-layer chocolate cake to split. It was delicious and huge! Loved the ambiance, the planes, the food, the cheerful service. I returned for a late lunch Friday afternoon and this was absolutely some of the best food I've ever had. The seating was ample. The service was great and attentive. The view was awesome, calming, and patriotic. The fried cauliflower was some of the best of I've ever had a service with a delightful dipping compliment of the spicy ranch and regular ranch. For the entire, I had the full portion of the shrimp dinner and it was so delicious and comes with two sides. Those were some huge, delicious shrimp and the coleslaw was a cooling, crunchy additional to the warm crunchiness of the hushpuppies. I had to have a slice of the key lime cake when I noticed it on the menu. It was delicious as well. Barnstormer's is really a hidden gem in the country. If you're even traveling through rural Griffin and Williamson, you must drop in. I understand they also have a Sunday buffet as well which I'm sure is a hit with locals. I've been coming here for years. These last 2 times I've been here it was a long wait. we were told that they needed the kitchen to catch up. They only had 2 -6 tops in the Restaurant. We went to Barnstormer's last night. First time in a good while. Was very disappointed compared to last time. I had the chicken livers (my fav), the onion rings and their fried chips. The amount was cut down a lot, they were luke warm, the onion rings were overdone and tough. The chips were alright but were not really hot. For $12 I would have hoped for more. My husband got the chopped steak (?). It was more like a Bubba Burger from Kroger. If it was 8 oz I'd be surprised, luke warm as well. He said the potatoes were good and he had broccoli which was a bit tough. We have eaten there in the past and loved it. Have they changed owners? It wasn't even busy when we got there but when we left, they were waiting. For those two things, our bill was $34.00. Don't recommend this anymore. I will say the server was adorable and so attentive. The atmosphere was okay, it's in a private airport community and lots of kids were there thus it was really noisy. read more

I won't come back! How many times have I said this? EVERY TIME I come here I say I'll never come back. I literally have a major problem every time I come to this restaurant. Last time I was told I couldn't be seated outside because there was a party and they weren't seating anyone else. I insisted and they sat us. Boy did I get some major attitude. We went for a family birthday with four young children in tow. Arriving just before 5 on a Friday, we were given the option of sitting inside or out on their covered patio. We lucked out with that because it started getting crowded soon after. It's a cute place, very on theme, and the staff was friendly. The food??? Eh. The appetizers were pretty good, especially the onion rings. My shrimp and grits had good flavor, but the grits were like soup. The kids mini corn dogs and fries were cold (kids didn't mind though) and a grilled cheese sandwich was more a toasted cheese sandwich. The oldest ate his entire Aviator hamburger, and the other adults liked their prime rib sandwiches. The strawberry cake was the bomb... I'd definitely order it again. The kids loved watching the airplanes and there's grassy space for them to run around and act like kids. So go for the atmosphere. It's worth at least one trip out on a pretty day. read more

This is the 2nd time we've gone and have been disappointed both times. Took about 45 mins to get our food, and what we got ranged from okay to horrible. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and it was the driest one I have ever had. They slapped cheese on it that I swear they must have used the single-wrapped cheese slices you buy at the store., and it wasn't even melted on one side. They should just take this off the menu. My husband's hamburger was just barely warm and got the wrong side but didn't want to wait another 45 mins to get it corrected. The mashed potatoes were extremely dry. Didn't offer anything like bread or anything to snack on while we waited. I don't understand why anyone would go here. read more

Although the food was delicious we were let down by the service. Weren't given a choice of seating whether inside or out, and after waiting for an hour they sat us outside on a table added on the grass. Yes there was a shade but the fans were all facing the patio. It's 90 degrees and we had to sit and wait another 10 minutes before I had to get up and request for a server so that we could at least get drinks. When he came we just ordered all that we wanted knowing that it was going to take forever. Food arrived in a timely manner and it was really good and full of flavor but we had to eat all our food with 1 napkin each. Requested for more napkins and of course we didn't get any. My poor husband was full of sweat by the time he was done eating. And he had to go inside to pay cause otherwise we would've waited long for the check. We went to Breakfast on a Saturday. The omelets were quite literally swimming in oil. The omelets were only 2 eggs maximum and it's one slice of bacon in it. Super disappointing. Came for lunch with my sister while visiting from California. Love the historic ambiance, and the rustic decor was fun to look at while we waited for our food. My Sis and I each ordered the Angus Steakburger with Sweet Potato fries. The meal was delicious, and I especially liked the fries. They were fresh and hot, but still firm. The burger was pretty great too. Generously portioned, cooked exactly as we asked, with lots of fresh veggies on top. We shared a dessert of chocolate meringue pie and lemon meringue pie.
