My experience was so go, I will only order from Cake fine Pastry. Cake Fine Pastry completed my brother and new sister w sings cakes. Both wanted speciality cakes and I had no idea where I would go. I reached out to Cake Fine Pastry after finding them on yelp. We actually did 100% of our communication via email in approximately 2-3 weeks prior to the wedding. Not only were the cakes beautiful, but taste good too! Normally speciality cakes are all about presentation and the taste is not there. But not here. Thank you for meeting my needs. OMG! This place is bursting with flavor! I ordered a cake for my boss who had turned 70. I went in the shop on a Wednesday expecting to just buy a last minute cake for the next morning. They only had a 6" plain vanilla. I thought that it was too small and plain for a 70th birthday so decided to order one for pick up the next day. I picked "Outrageous Oreo", and it was delicious. So moist, and the icing was phenomenal. The best part of all, was they had text me and called me to inform me the cake was ready and it was only 8:30am. I was so excited and grateful because first they had told me it wouldn't be ready until as early as 10am. I had my Co-worker leave right away. This bakery is definitely a must try! *This review is for the Zeapod Cakery Truck. After going to HIN and then visiting Discovery Green I saw this cute little food truck and I was curious as to what they were selling. Before I could even get super close to the truck a lady in the truck happily shouted out "Hey! Come try our cupcakes on a stick! They're delicious!" She sounded so gleefully happy and proud of the cupcakes that I had to go and support this local business! Like another reviewer said, they had cupcakes but in a push pop form. I know, sounds interesting but imaging someone taking on of those huge syringes and then layering cake, frosting, cake, etc etc. She recommended Red Velvet so of course that's the choice I went with. The frosting is delicious, not too sweet, not overly cream cheesy, just right. The cake had delicious flavor, beautiful red color, but I would've liked it a little more moist. Don't get me wrong, it's not dry and crumbly either. The push pop idea? GENIUS! It's perfect for walking around Discovery Green with and the amount of product you get is probably the equivalent to a full sized cupcake from a shop. $3 for a push pop. Yum yum yum. She then greeted us away by saying thanks so much! Be sure to tweet us, facebook, etc etc. So I told her "I WILL YELP YOU!" And she said "YES PLEASE!". I only buy from the Zeapod Cakery truck and have not gone to their actual shop, so my review is based on my truck experience. The Zeapod Cakery truck comes through downtown a few times a week, but you have to follow their Facebook/Twitter to make sure they are heading downtown as sometimes they post that they have events and cannot make it. The things I love from the Zeapod truck are the cake push pops. Yummy! Also the caramel delight cupcake is out of this world. Prices are around $2 to $3 an item, but when you see the care and presentation of the goodies, you understand why the price is more than reasonable. I wish they would come down more often, but they are in the cake business so that would take precendence over food truck stops. I do look forward to the next time they roll downtown! read more

If I could give this business zero stars I would. I needed a cake for a baby shower. I called and left my first message 2-3 weeks ago. No response. I called again and left another message yesterday, no response. I filled out the "contact us" form on the website. Finally, I got a response. First a call, then an email and then a text. I wasn't able to call back so I texted back the information and I got a quote for 200$ inc. delivery for a smaller 3 tier or a larger 2 tier. She stated she felt bad for missing my calls/messages. After some back & forth conversation she then said, "I was being nice about not seeing your emails or calls but the 3 tier is 275$", the 2 tier is 200$". I realize that small business' can price their own products as they choose and I would rather support small business' over big-box stores anyway but changing your prices mid-conversation is in no way good customer service. If you feel bad because your inefficient at communicating with your prospective clients and you decide to offer a better price because of it then stick to your word and do it, don't go back on what you said. That says a lot about one's personal integrity. I never asked for a discount or any freebies because of the poor communication or any other reason. I was prepared to pay full price. Afterwards, she just kept texting and calling me. There's no second chances when I'm paying you hundreds of dollars of my hard-earned money for a service. I will just "be nice" and take my business elsewhere. read more

This bakery has good and bad days. I will honestly say after my 3rd visit it is my last resort for ordering anything. They are a little unorganized. I ordered and paid for items ahead of time. I called on a hunch to verify my order would be ready on the correct day and it took her a minute to even find the order. She confirmed it for the WRONG day. I ordered for June 7th which is a Sunday and she had it down for June 7th but written down Saturday as the day. Her response was "I'm glad you called to check". She gave an option for me to pick my items up the day before or go to another shop. Well I couldn't pick the items up the day before due to prior obligations, and going to another location that wasn't planned the day of the event wasn't a good option either. When I asked about what containers my items would come in, she notified me that I had to find my own. She said I could put them in a bowl or find the styrofoam at Hobby Lobby. I just canceled the order and asked for a refund. The lady said she couldn't find my order to receive a refund. I gave her the last 4 digits of my card. After receiving no response, I went up to the shop. I showed the receipt that was texted to me at the time of purchase. Her husband was able to find the order and refund me. She was talking behind a wall and didn't even have the decency to speak face to face. If I wouldn't have called I would have been at that bakery on Sunday in bad luck because they are closed on Sundays. How can you not have a copy of a receipt yourself as the owner to provide documentation of the order being paid in full? I understand some businesses can get overwhelmed, but customer service goes a long way. read more

I admit I am a sucker for all things sweets. I found them at the food truck place. The location is 800 HWY 6 S not in Katy, TX it's in the energy corridor though for sure. Food quality to price is about right. Food portion to price ehhhhh. It's small. Not tiny, but small. Although I'm sure the serving size is the recommended size for one person, but who wants to be healthy. Okay so corrected it was the Key Lime Pie, not pecan. Usually that's what I get, but as I write these reviews a week or so after the visit. It's good, but similar taste as a frozen in a grocery store. Love the push up cake pops. A friend brought one over once and can't remember flavor, but it was delicious. If you see this place stop by for the cake push up pops. Asked for cake to be ready by 11-11:30. Husband showed up at almost noon and they were still icing the cake. Not that big of a deal, but bakeries typically have your cake ready BEFORE the designated pick up time just in case you show up early. Was psyched to try their Outrageous Oreo cake. But the outside looked like a plain white cake. There was no Oreos in the icing or even a hint it was anything other than a white cake. They told my husband it was Oreo though and I had zero time to question it. I was optimistic when we cut in the inside, thinking it would be impressive, just have faith. Unfortunately while it did have bit of Oreos broken up into the inside of the cake, it was very dry. The overly sweet icing did nothing for the cake. It was a very imbalanced cake and a horrible first impression. I won't be back, despite how close they are to my house. I'd rather drive father for a $40 cake that someone puts real effort into.
